The anime has a very Ghibli-esque feeling; beautiful serene backgrounds, a very laid back beginning, slightly dated feeling art style that works in its favour (for me anyways), and right off the bat what seems like Nausicaa (from Nausicaa of the Valley of the WInd, a Studio Ghibli movie) flies in on her glider being chased by a strange flying machine, made of junk yet using futuristic technology, ...
The anime has a very Ghibli-esque feeling; beautiful serene backgrounds, a very laid back beginning, slightly dated feeling art style that works in its favour (for me anyways), and right off the bat what seems like Nausicaa (from Nausicaa of the Valley of the WInd, a Studio Ghibli movie) flies in on her glider being chased by a strange flying machine, made of junk yet using futuristic technology, of which types are often seen in Studio Ghibli movies. That's a lot of Studio Ghibli comparisons, but this by no means is a bad point. Although it follows the styles, it does not feel like a copy and manages to retain plenty of originality and appeal.
The characters so far are extremely likeable. The main character, Clain, is a quiet and relatively normal guy, who gets ridiculously excited when he sees antiques. And then from her glider, Nausicaa, I mean... Phyrne appears. She is a mysterious individual but kind and at the end of the first episode she gives herself in without Clain's knowledge to avoid getting him into any trouble. But most importantly she leaves behind a data device out of which Nessa appears, who is the cutest character Ive seen in a long while. Her cheerful personality is so incredibly infectious and I cant stop but smile when she's on her happy pills. She has an very open personality where she's always smiling, laughing and running around without a care, but this makes me think that there's another side to her that we have yet to see.
So far a very promising start, and although only three episodes have been released so far, I am positively hooked to this anime.
