    It is my favorite movie
First things first before watching you will need to watch Fullmetal Alchemist series not FMA:Brotherhood. The one that started in 2004. If you watch it without watching the series. The movie will not make since, without the series. The movie wraps up the ending of FMA after ed goes thrun the gate. Some people may not like it, but i loved it.It was the first movie from the fullmetal series, compared to ...

Great movie for FMA not FMA:B
Okay first things first, this isn't for FMA:B. This movie follows up FMA the original. So if you don't watch FMA first then it will not make sense. But if you don't feel like watching FMA first then I can wrap up whats going on SPOILERS AHEAD.

So at the end of FMA Alphonse is kidnapped and Ed goes to save him, but is killed by envy, so Al tries to bring him back and he sort of does. ...

Depends on What Side You're On.
This is the conclusion to the first running animation in the early 2000, not Brotherhood (will they post FMA on this site, too?).

It wraps up some of the plot points really well, but can leave some unsatisfied. It doesn't end neatly like Brotherhood did, but I feel that its strengths are the same points that fuel the argument that the original animation was such a good show.

    The concepts are ...

Don't watch this after FMA. Or FMA: Brotherhood. Or at all.
Review in brief: The Conqueror of Shamballa attempts to be its own thing when it's a sequel to a show with loose ends. This sort of production is an uphill battle for its producers, and yet it is difficult to imagine them doing any worse than this. It's almost as though this movie was initially a failed standalone pitch before being shoehorned into FMA as the 2003 anime was reaching ...

  • Satisfying Ending to Fave Version
Let me start out by saying that this movie wraps up the 2003 Fullmetal Alchemist anime. Personally my favorite out of the two—probably because I didn't read the manga, and the story was much more original and didn't care about giving a cliche happy-go-lucky ending—even though it did tear my heart in two. I actually admire that series for taking risks when diverging from the, then unfinished, ...

  • A Pretty Decent Movie
I remember finishing the 2003 FullMetal Alchemist and then asking my parents to get the movie. It is decent but I really do enjoy how this version interpret the door of truth. It is interesting in its own right but don't have this movie hold you back from watching Brotherhood (The much better version of the 2).

    Great Film But......
Being someone who uses Crunchyroll in the UK I'm not allowed to watch the series due to licencing limitations. Love both the film and the series but why let us have one and not the other?..

Worth a watch if you haven't yet done so.

    Stopped watching half way
There were a few things which kept me from watching this. The pacing, for a movie, is just so very slow. It is paced much more like a series. The opening scene makes little sense unless you buy into the premise that all nuclear power must be evil. Also, the first villain (spoiler alert!) has a Phantom of the Opera-like mask. Ho hum. There's also some sloppiness to the animation. Minor spoiler ...

fitting or not I dont know
Although many see this as fitting end to a beloved series I think it leaves much to be wished for. It feels like they end up abandoning their main goal and leave many people out in the cold.(maybe this is based to much on how I wanted it to end.) All in all it was a good movie.

    This was just not good...
I loved this show sooooooooo much, I binged watch it for 3 days and I figured why not see the movie. The movie's plot had something good going and was able to keep my attention *spoiler alert* but the ending completely took the one thing that made me love the show so much and basically turned it into a depressing and sorrowful ending. Not a fan of the movie. To the point it makes my binge watching ...
