This anime is not missing a car accident
Spoilers (like just no dont read if you care)
I can forgive changes to a story, I feel when adapting a story to a different medium this is necessary. Sometimes this means dropping the sex when going from visual novel to anime. this change is acceptable because 9 times out of 10 the sex was in the visual novel was a sell point. the anime doesn't need the sex and its usually not ...

If you're a fan of the manga, this will feel terribly wrong.
I've been reading the manga since it started and have always been hoping for Fuuka to get an animation, and was super hyped upon hearing about this. Sadly, as of now (writing around the time of episode 10), the story has drifted so far off from the manga that they aren't even close. I think I speak for most die-hard fans of the manga when I say THIS IS NOT WHAT WE WANTED. This kind of gross ...

Part 3 of Kouji Seo's coming of age opus
The source material for "Fuuka" is the manga "Fuuka" by Kouji Seo. Fuuka has a music centric theme so the Anime adaptation adds SOOOO much that you just can't get from the manga. This is shaping up to be great. The titular character was first introduced in "Suzuka" (She's the daughter of the protagonists) and we saw her grow up as she made occasion cameo appearances (usually with her mother, ...

    Fuuka anime changed too much!
Fuuka anime changed too much it's a different story and no where near as good as the manga! To all anime producers that make manga into anime either keep to the story of the manga or fuck off bothering at all because you have NEVER made it better only worse.

What crashing and burning is like
Story starts off great, Fuuka starts band with main character and invites side characters to band.

Then one episode Fuuka almost gets hit by a bus... And the anime goes to sh!t. Fuuka who declined a contract to be set for life previously decides after she is almost hit by the bus to take the contract and leave the band. Then everyone else quits the band. MC's previous ...

Seo being Seo (author of Suzuka, A Town Where You Live)
If you've seen Suzuka or A Town Where You Live then you are already familiar with this universe. Fuuka is the sequel to Suzuka while A Town Where You Live is a spin-off. Fuuka the character is the daughter of the main characters from Suzuka. That is basically the end of the relationship of the two series so it's not neccessary to watch either of the first two before watching this one . There are ...

A bad adaption of a great manga
Been reading the manga for a while now so I got pumped when they announced an anime, but I didn't expect they would change so much from the source material. Might as well called it something else because this isn't Fuuka.
One of the main characters Fuuka dies from a car accident early on in the manga, and her boyfriend Yuu (which they weren't even boyfriend and girlfriend in ...

    Not too great (MY OPINION)
Now, I haven't read the manga myself because at first I thought that this was brand new but from finishing the anime, I am tempted to not even think about reading the manga. There is no decent plot and it was almost hard to finish the season because I felt no love for any of the characters or the story. Reading through the comments, I have heard that the manga is great but just by watching ...

    So much wasted potential
I don't really like the way this show's different from the manga. A big plot point in the manga was Fuuka's death, and how Yuu grows and matures as a result. Instead, they decided to make it into a formulaic love story. Watch episode 1 and you'll be able to predict the ending.
    Truly a waste.

don't usually review but too disappointed not too
I will just say I feel this anime robbed the viewers of the amazing story that the manga is.

Maybe sometime they can do a full metal alchemist style reboot and go faithful to the source material.

Leaving out so much of the character development. relationships. tragedy. makes the triumphs hollow and meaningless.
