its funny because I was looking for pictures of the characters from the live action movie and I came across this. This is more accurate to the book than the movie xD.

It's a straightforward reaction. Albert's frustrated, so he goes to what he instinctively perceives as a sympathetic ear - his own father (even though he doesn't consciously realize who Edmund is).
