The anime creators decided that Franz was minor character to be eliminated in this version of the Count Of Monte Cristo. The original author let him live and walk him off the story.
sickgrrl69 The giant suits probably leaked hydraulic fluids whenever a robotic limb was cut off, or whatever the mechanics that drove the suits used spilled out. The animators probably made it red to increase the intensity of the fight.
this anime has captivated my heart and soul to the core. I envied Franz and Alberts relationship, and now they have faced nothing but death destruction and darkness. Such an amazing work of art...
He lost both Franz and part of his innocence that day, on his birthday, this day alone with mark one of the turning stones inside of his young life. He will know what it means to be an adult and what it means to lose something precious....
i couldnt not cry while watching that FRANZ!!!! tlk about great episode it was so emotional it was perfect XD D8 i cried a little even after the episode a must watch
FUUU--!! staying up for hours watching this and then to have one of the most emotional cries EVER! i have a bad headache now. you know it was Franz the whole time! which just adds to my emotions. so weet and tragic.
This ep makes me kind of hate Edmond (which is too bad because I LOVE him in the book), but aside from that, mechas don't bleed, dammit! They can only bleed in Evangelion....but this is NOT Evangelion!
@buggy1: some people think differently. some people believe emotions r governed by the heart "as a fact". i dont think anyone rlly knows where emotions come from as a fact. and the series deals with "people". people have different ideals.
I know they're trying to be poetic, talking about the heart and all that stuff but I thought Gankutsuou's takeover is suppose to be scientific so what the hell does the heart have to do with emotions when emotions is govern by the brain?
