A lot of credit goes into this Anime.
The plot is set in the future. There are a race of aliens, called Hideauze, threatening the Humankind that are living in space. During a battle, Ledo, gets caught with his combat suit (filled with onboard AI named "Chamber"), in a spacial distortion and awakes on a Planet filled with Seas.
Now, I have problems labeling this series as just Mecha. Honestly, that is dumbing it down too much. ...

    Freaking sweet watch it
Its the season of mech anime, although most of them are Gundam knock offs this series is different. The main character isn't a whiny little Shinji and the animation is very good. In case you didn't know the same guy that did fate zero and madoka magica is directing this series. Definitely worth a watch.

    Now THIS is interesting!
Gen Urobuchi (Fate/Zero, Madoka Magica, Psycho-Pass) returns to deliver one of the most exciting new series of the year! The premise of the story is far more original compared to most mecha series that I've seen, combined with it's great art design and animation thanks to Production I.G with a stellar OST. This also marks the breakout role for rookie seiyuu Kaito Ishikawa as the main character ...

    This is what I wanted
I saw a preview to this before Crunchyroll announced that it was in the spring streams, and I wanted to see it then. This feels like this seasons hit anime. It has a smart plot, wonderful visuals and a main protagonist I can enjoy watching. It also has some surprises that make it unique in my opinion.

    It's been a while...
...since I was truly excited to watch a new anime!!! I am super hopeful that they will be able to keep this anime new and fruitful. This show might be the only reason I keep my premium membership for the summer.

Pinion is a babe, 5 stars.
Really nice mecha, I would say even those who aren't into the mecha genre could easily get into this. When Ledo lands on a strange planet, there's a lot of questions that challenge our society and its advancements: our loss of emotion, what it really means to be ourselves without losing our humanity and self discovery. By the end, it really made me want to go back and watch Evangelion again.
    If ...

    Very Good Anime.....
I got burned out on Mecha anime's a long time ago but this one showed up on Netflix just recently and I decided to check it out and it's dubbed (a very good one) if it was just subs I would have passed on it but I'm glad I didn't. It has the usual mecha battles which were well done but it turned out to be more than just that the story is well written the characters are not all the cookie cutter ...

Mecha Encounter of the Better Kind
Among the many means of evaluation for mecha anime, there are two categories that most shows tend to fall into: those that use the mecha as a central plot element, and those that use them merely as supporting elements. Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet belongs to the latter group, and it's a better show for it.

Let's get one thing out of the way first: there's nothing wrong with battle-oriented ...

Amazing start, the followup is average
So, first things first: Gargantia's first four episodes are absolutely phenomenal. A vibrant, foreign world, a really cool exploration of culture clash, and a neat method of handling a language barrier. Mix in some potent emotional elements, and you have a very strong show.

Unfortunately, it does lose some of its power as the show goes on, and the conclusion of the show winds up as a "shouting ...

Very good, but i think it would have been better as a full 26 ep season
So i decided to start this anime cause the cover peeked my interest for some reason. And after watching the first episode I felt the push to want to know more and it just built on itself (ending up binge-ing in 1 day -_- ). Anywhoooo, The story is very well made, the character development is pretty much textbook and the world i found very rich. But having all of those qualities made the story ...
