    I was pleasantly surprised.
I'm amused by how many people are trying (and failing) to give in-depth reports about the characters despite the show only being five episodes in. Which, ironically, is actually want I want to talk about. Well, I really just want to talk about Hajime-chan.

I've noticed a lot of people ragging on Hajime for being a weak, uninteresting female lead. I think this is untrue, and not only because I'm ...

  • You're gonna love it... or hate it!
This is a very quirky and different sort of anime in a lot of ways and nothing like the original Gatchaman series. It's a very fun and off the wall series that does some very funky twists on typical plot lines used in animes. That being said, one of the biggest complaints that reviewers have is that the main character lacks character development.

Hajime is a very polarizing character and very ...

    Entertaining but not Outstanding
I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Gatchman Crowds. The main character could be a little grating with how optimistic and constantly upbeat she is. The overall story was interesting. I liked how they incorporated social media into the story in a fairly plausible way. It would have been nice to get a little more character development from the side characters, but since there are only 12 eps ...

  • I really had to stop
I really couldn't get into this one. The art work and story line was getting good but the girl started to annoy me. So I had stopped watching after the 3 episode because of her. It just bugs me that someone new that comes into a situation already knows more then anyone else that had been there before them. There wasn't much of a transition for the girl as she had joined the team.

  • Stands out from the CROWDs
I tried this anime after seeing it on an "underrated" list for 2013. I have to agree- there is a lot more going on with Gatchaman Crowds than your typical action/comedy anime.

It's all about challenging & subverting conventions in good ways. The art style does it, the re-imagining of the Gatchaman concept does it, the character interactions do it, the plot is about it. The music isn't too ...

  • Quirky, colorful, and cool.
This series is pretty zany, it is worth watching IMO largely because of the delightful artistic style and the over the top color palette.

The plot is difficult to comprehend at the best of times, at the worst totally indecipherable. However for some reason that really didn't bother me when i watched this series.

I am an artist, and i watched this one because the art really interested me. ...

One thing ruined this anime for me....
Loved the artwork, music and overall plot but what ruined this anime for me was Hajime.... Shes so freaking annoying i had an urge to turn of the show and never watch it again. She ruined the whole thing for me and made it unbearable to finish.......

  • Interesting Storytelling with too many Plot Holes
Out of the anime that I binge-watched this break, “Gatchaman: CROWDS” has to be the most interesting.

Cross-dressing heroes and compelling questions of how one’s involvement in a digital community (i.e. connectedness among strangers with a unifying goal to “change/update the world”) can inspire acts of heroism, are just some of the more progressive elements the series. Conversely, the threat of ...

amazing premise, but a character issue
i actually really like the premise of gatchaman crowds. it's like durarara!! meets power rangers, except way better than it sounds and really well done. the cast is colorful and interesting and the animation is really pretty as well; pokemon-esque, but much, much prettier.

however, i have one big issue that kind of ruined the anime for me: hajime ichinose.

hajime is a cute, childish, ...
