  • Surprisingly fun to watch!
I didn't expect this to be a fun show after seeing the protagonist in the first episode. She's hard for me to like but after seeing the action and seeing more characters, I couldn't seem to stop watching! I would recommend this anime to my friends for sure.

  • Best Mecha Anime I ever watched
Gatchaman CROWDS was the best anime I ever watched in my whole life. Its very silly yet has some dark parts to it as well. I find this anime to be one of those unique anime that doesn't contain too many fighting scenes and focus more on other objectives. I also liked the soundtrack. The OST was one of the thing I looked forward to in the anime when a new episode came out. It makes you excited in ...

  • Think of it as Tumblr: The Anime
It baffles me slightly why this series would choose to call itself "Gatchaman" like the super-campy 80's anime about space superheroes. So if you came to watch this expecting a nostalgic remake along the lines of Sailor Moon Crystal, I recommend you watch--this is a good show, after all--but don't come into it thinking it to be about your favorite Science Ninja Team. And if you avoided this show ...

  • Mentally opening and joyous.
In the first few episodes, I was hardly interested in this anime at all. However, I decided to give it the chance. Around the fourth episode or so I realized something that you can't within the first few episodes. This anime has a subtle lesson (in my opinion) for, not only the individuals in the anime, but real life. It's all about the perspective of something. We all have different views and ...

  • You're gonna love it... or hate it!
This is a very quirky and different sort of anime in a lot of ways and nothing like the original Gatchaman series. It's a very fun and off the wall series that does some very funky twists on typical plot lines used in animes. That being said, one of the biggest complaints that reviewers have is that the main character lacks character development.

Hajime is a very polarizing character and very ...

    Entertaining but not Outstanding
I wasn't quite sure what to expect with Gatchman Crowds. The main character could be a little grating with how optimistic and constantly upbeat she is. The overall story was interesting. I liked how they incorporated social media into the story in a fairly plausible way. It would have been nice to get a little more character development from the side characters, but since there are only 12 eps ...

  • Quirky, colorful, and cool.
This series is pretty zany, it is worth watching IMO largely because of the delightful artistic style and the over the top color palette.

The plot is difficult to comprehend at the best of times, at the worst totally indecipherable. However for some reason that really didn't bother me when i watched this series.

I am an artist, and i watched this one because the art really interested me. ...

  • High Concept + Fun Characters = Great Series
If you were hoping for a modernized reboot of the old Gatchaman series... first of all, how old ARE you? That show came out ages ago and was only okay... but yes, you've heard correctly, this has no connection to the original Gatchaman franchise save for a few names. That doesn't mean it's bad, though. Far from it.

What you should be looking at is the director, not the franchise. This is Kenji ...

  • Not Your Daddy's Gatchaman
Gatchaman Crowds kicks things off without any exposition. If you are familiar with the old series (Eagle Riders, Battle for the Planets, G-Force, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) be prepared to be completely confused. None of the original characters are in this series though a few do share similar names. The character designs are interesting and the animation does it's job in conveying some serious ...
