  • Worth Watching Even Now
I had my doubts about Gatchaman since it had some of what I call my anime red flags up, but honestly I'm so glad I gave it a chance. The art is wonderful and the soundtrack is lush. Don't even get me started on the G-suit designs! Honestly this was a blast to watch especially considering the prominence of the female protagonists. Please give this show a watch!

  • Not the Heroes you want, but the ones you Need.
Are you a Political Science Major?
    Are you a Psychology Major?
Are you of Voting Age in your country?
Have you ever wondered if things could be done differently?
Have you ever just gone with the flow, doing what everyone else did, only to regret it?
This is a show for you.

The Art Style is more of a love it or hate it affair (I'm not always fond of it). 2.5/5
The Music is mundane, or ...

    (Season one) Surprisingly Disappointing
Now the anime dose a lot of good here, stuff I'd like to see more of. I can't help but love the music, and the art is wonderfully upbeat. Even the action, when there is action, is fun.

Now where it falls flat. Fist off the Main character is a full on Mary Sue, in every way. The only saving grace is that much of the show dose not revolve around her, and she mostly comes in as a solution to all ...

a true display of the growth an anime can have.
So, i dont write alot of review's, but this anime in the end stands out from any other i've seen. And i will not say it's because of the well crafted story, or the exellent fighting. Not even the loveable characters. This anime though it has all three things i just mentioned, is great for how it grows. It's an okey anime in the start, and remainse like that pretty much the whole first season with ...

  • Why Does It Always End So Well?
I am always struggling through the series, but speed through the final episodes.

This series was made on killer endings.

The characters all develop pretty well (my favorite characters don't get nearly enough screen time), the animation is average, and the plot is not too bad and quite relevant for our digital age. However, this series knows how to close, and I always feel so satisfied at the ...

  • The Thinkers Hero Show
The first few episodes of Gatchaman Crowds, I wasn't entirely into it. To be honest, I'm not big on transforming heroes, I never was, and it took me several episodes until I got into the show. However, it has been a trip worth taking. This is not your typical hero anime, or hero work in general. It's something of a deconstruction of the genre, and actually something very fresh. It brings up in ...

  • Interesting Philosophy but Weak Character Development
There are social issues that inspire viewers to think. Multiple issues are connected together smoothly through the season, and solutions to them are also inspiring.

The art style is unique as it was in the first season, but weak character development is still a problem - one can see characters' personality, but most of their thoughts are unknown.

  • What a great series.
Utterly creative, wonderfully thought provoking and exceptionally unique. What isn't to love about Gatchaman? Hajime-chan in particular is a shining star, but every character is well thought out. No one is without fault or virtue and it's impossible to completely hate any one character.

Unlike many series, there is no 'reset' button. No status quo the series reverts to after every conclusion. ...

  • Insight takes the show in an interesting direction!
    Pros:
Hajime is one of the best anime characters of all time.
    Young Gelsadara is cute.
The show tackles a concept most anime's would never touch.
Awesome music like the first series.

    Cons:
The show can seem a bit slow at times.
Could always use more dance music in the show.
Older Gelsadara isn't that good of a character.

It started off good. Then it got better.
Gatchaman CROWDS was an interesting anime when I first started it. The first season was good. Not great, but good. It had some interesting moments, maybe some more unconventional themes compared to your average costumed hero anime. It was pleasant, and, while it wasn't the most amazing thing, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

    Then Season 2 came along.

Oh boy, Season 2. Man that was a ride. It started ...
