    Not really worth watching.
This seems like it's going to be an anime that goes into the past more than what it needs to. I'm ok with going to the past, but over do it and I won't like it a lot. Not only that, the characters don't seem fit for an anime, more like a video game instead. Only watch if you want to go at a slow pace.

Early Impression: Perfect for a small group of anime fans
If you are really into Japanese history or manly men standing around being manly (or both) then this show looks like it will be perfect for you. Lots to learn and digest and the characters might be interesting enough to learn about if you can get past a couple things:
1- The Writing. It seems lazy at best. Phrases are repeated and attempts at humor are just barely there
2- The Music. Its pretty ...

Defending an Awesome anime in progress - created by the maker of Fist of the North Star
The three "reviews" with 2-3 stars are from pessimistic critics judging the show so early and knit picking the smallest of flaws. Way too critical. The writing is fine for a historical anime, and I'm glad to see the manga co-creator from Fist of the North Star involved. The anime is historical, so the idea of having a beginning portraying flashbacks isn't annoying at all. The music being ...

    Righteousness!!!!!!!
This is a great entertaining series which has a nice flow with several laugh-out-loud moments .The message that the writer wants to get across is very interesting and likable .I look forward to new episodes and greater plot twists.

An Honest Review: After Watching 14 Episodes.
Some of the other reviews were written after only ONE episode. That isn't fair to any anime, and really does a disservice to anime fans who would have enjoyed a really good show. I'm finally getting around to writing my review after watching 14 episodes. So, I think I can give a good idea of what to expect.

Kanetsugu and Keiji are two powerful samurai who are very good friends (almost like ...

Absolutely worth your time if you like historical anime
At first glance, you might be put off by the manly men with necks as big as tree trunks. %) But hang on...watch a few episodes and you'll find yourself laughing out loud with the characters. History buffs will get a kick out of the story.

    Nice all around anime
First I would like to start off by saying this IS a Flashback anime.. So far the entire anime has been flashbacks and the cut scenes are the present. It is very clear and stated at the beginning. The anime is based on the past battles and trails of the 2 main characters and it is very laid back and fun to watch.

If you only watch the first episode you may think it will be about 2 huge guys ...

    very interesting history anime
This show is a real sleeper and not kid oriented. It has humor, intelligent writing, and really cool characters. The artwork is a very over-the-top style, but I agree with those who said watch more than the first couple of eps. You won't be disappointed.

    Something Different to watch
If you think about it most anime do not give you that much background information in the beginning. Most just keep stringing you along until the season is almost over and your waiting for the next season or you find out that the writers are on hiatus or are not making any more episodes. Hopefully more people will catch on to this. Last, I almost bypassed this because I was only looking at the ...
