  • You'll enjoy the story until the end where you'll feeling like you wasted your time.
Basically boy meets hometown girl over their final summer break, both see 'time fragments', potential romance, potential discovery of powers, then...potential not fulfilled.
Ranking it two stars, simply because it SEEMED like it was going to have a story worth experiencing, but it ultimately didn't. Ending feels like nothing happened at all.
Maybe that's the point they were trying to make, ...

  • Misunderstood by most.
It was a great one. There's deeper symbolic meaning to it overall, and it seems the majority of people don't understand that and rate it low. Don't go in thinking it's just another slice of life, it's more than just that.

10/10, you need to think about it more than just a surface entertainment piece.

  • Good art, nice characters, good ideas, but somehow still lacking
There was so much promise and potential to this show, and it felt like the directions they were trying to go were really nice and innovative, but it also felt like the entire show was just a summary of what the show could've been. Each episode felt like it was a recap of an entire season. There's SO MUCH MORE that they could've added. When the last episode ended I was sitting there like ???? wait ...

Understanding it will only allow you to love this anime.
A lot of people have complained that the show has no plot and that the story makes no sense. It seems to me that this anime is trying to say something in an artistic way. Animation is moving art and this show seems to be animated art in a separate and meta sense where it's to be interpreted, inferred, or analyzed. As I said in the comments, It's kind of like Twin Peaks where weird things happen ...

  • Could Have Been Better
Glasslip had so much potential in much of its running time. I feel like it was built up to mean a whole lot more than it did.
I understand that much of Glasslip was meant to be symbolic, and maybe some of that is lost in translation, but it really felt like it went nowhere and that nothing happened. I feel like there was a lot of good setup for something to happen, but nothing ever did.
    There ...

  • good watch, slice of life.
I miss these fleeting slice of life anime when they are done, and there really isn't enough of them around. This anime is beautiful and heart felt, the plot, art and music are all really well done. Just dont get too hung up on the plot, this one like all slice of life anime are trying to express the beauty of life, relationships and characters. Its not surprising to see these types of anime with ...

  • A copy of something great
Now I'm not sure if anyone else thought this too but this show was almost EXACTLY the same as the first half of "Lull in the Sea" just without as much ocean involved. The main character was exactly the same as well as the close group of friends, along with the appearance of a new "mysterious" guy which the main character falls in love with. WAY too much of this show was the same

    The pace of ...

Decent but kind of a waste
This anime was definitely slow but the idea behind it and its delivery were okay. It definitely had some downsides though. -- Spoiler -- My main issue was that the ending was annoyingly vague and dramatic. It almost made watching this feel like a waste of time. I also didn't like the main male character. He was nearly an empty shell to the very end. Since he was far more interested in solving his ...

  • Metaphors, way to many!!!
I love story driven anime. I like character driven anime.

I gave it a chance, I honestly did. Watched the full 13 episodes. Most interpretations of the anime talk about metaphors. I'm totally fine with it, but you need to stretch it a bit in order to barely make sense. Some of the secondary characters are just uninteresting, and even the main ones won't make up for it.

    There's a reason why ...

  • Total and compete waste of time
This anime deserves 1/2 a star. It has stunning artwork, but that is it! There is NO plot, the story line & the conversations do not make sense.
Save yourself and do not waste your time watching this anime! I watched the whole thing thinking maybe it would get better but NOPE it doesn't.
