Najika Kazami is an orphan with a talent for cooking. She loves to cook for those she loves, but something is missing from her life. When she was a child, she met a boy who touched her heart – and now Najika is determined to find him. The only clue she has is a silver spoon that leads her to the prestigious Seika Academy.
Najika became an orphan after losing her parents at a very young age. During her orphan childhood, a mysterious boy gave her a dessert called flan along with a special spoon. She called him her "Flan Prince" and wanted to find him ever since. She discovers Seika Academy and that the spoon came from there. Upon arrival at Seika, her classmates reject her and don't think she deserves to be in the special class. She ends up meeting Sora and Daichi Kitazawa, the only ones that approved of her and recognized her talent for cooking.
Sora is the son of the director of Seika Academy. He is very popular since he is Seika's student body president and the substitute of the director's position for a short while. He is a very talented pianist and is very busy. Although he claims that eating is a hassle, he enjoys Najika's cooking and encourages her. He also helps her realize her talent, and that she has an absolute sense of taste.
Daichi is Sora's younger brother. He likes to play basketball, but quit for unknown reasons. He is popular since he is one of the director's sons. Daichi first met Najika when she fell out of a tree. He started to call her "monkey" to tease her for her love of climbing trees. Although he teases her often, he has a crush on her and gets jealous when Sora is with her. It's even worse that the Kitazawa brothers do not get along well.
Akane is a girl with the dream of becoming a supermodel, just like her mother. She is very skinny and confident. She really likes Daichi and doesn't like it when Najika is around him, especially when she notices that Daichi has begun to develop feelings for Najika. Because of this, she is very rude and mean towards Najika. But later, Najika softens Akane's heart and they become friends.
Seiya Mizuno is a talented pastry chef who entered into Seika Academy after Sora's death. He was chosen by Daichi's father to compete with Najika in cooking. He has a similar appearance to Sora but a completely different personality. Seiya works hard to make his cooking the best. What makes him unique is that he is really thoughtful of his fancy desserts and food he makes. He became envious of Najika's talent when he competed with her, but in the end, he became Najika's buddy chef.
