Just to explian the reason for me naming this group Ai-Chan is 1: I needed more then 2 letters and 2: She has said on Cartoon Kat-Tun that she would love for guys to call her Ai-Chan therefore I decided to add Chan to her name..



Born Ai Carina Uemura on November 2, 1981 in Los Angeles California Ai has always inspired to sing and dance as is stressed in many of her albums.. In 1998 Ai appeared in one of Janet Jacksons music videos "Go Deep" as an extra.. Although only for a second Ai has said it was one of the greatest moments in her life.. AI debuted with label BMG in 2000 to release 3 singles and one album.. In 2003 she departed with BMG and moved on to Def Jam Japan making history in being the 1st female singed to the label.. Ai has released 9 albums and 16 singles since 2000.. Ai's range in music stretches from hip hop to R&B.. She is capable of both rap and song and has been dubbed THE QUEEN OF HIP-HOP & SOUL in Japan..
