About Leehom

Leehom is left-handed.
Why Leehom doesn't use his Christian name 'Alexander' as his official English name:
Because when Leehom was about to go to Primary School, Wang Mama wanted Leehom to choose the name he wanted to use: Alexander or Leehom. He chose Leehom with the reason that it is more unique than Alexander.

Leehom and his older brother Leo worked as a paperboy for 7 years since he was 8. He said that this experience trained him to be honest, responsible and industrious.

Leehom wrote a play The Bite That Burns when he was 21. It was a Broadway work, which comprises of opera, Broadway and the films. The score of the electronic-symphony orchestra is more than 570 pages in length.

"The truth of the matter is... I've thought about my experience in Laos since it happened, and it's simply hard to write about. Writing about their stories is like trying to compose the title track of ym next album, or something a little too close to my heart. Leehom's latest book documents LeeHom's experiences and thoughts when he visited the 10 Laos children he sponsored last year. As the ambassador of World Vision, LeeHom also hopes to document the stories of these kids living in poverty and share his emotions with more people.

Essentially a musical score collection of songs from his Shangri-La album, the book is also aptly complemented with photos of LeeHom's musical journey through the oriental lands. LeeHom also describes the motivations and meaning behind the various songs in the album.

2003 An Accidental Autobiography
Comes with a VCD containing 20 home videos of LeeHom, a Q&A session as well as a round the clock video documentation of a day in LeeHom's life.

2001 The One and Only Official Piano and Vocal Score
The book is spread with great photos - those of LeeHom preparing for his Taiwan concert and those of the beautiful Greece where LeeHom spent his holiday with his family. An espionage thriller set in WWII-era Shanghai, centering around Mr. Yee, a powerful political figure and Wang Jiazhi, the young woman who gets swept up in a dangerous game of emotional intrigue with him. LeeHom plays the revolutionary patriotic college student, Kuang Yumin, who struggles between his love for the country and his love for Jiazhi.
LeeHom's involvement in the movie also inspired him to pen a song, recorded in his Change Me album, in the name of his character in the movie.



Starlit High Noon

LeeHom plays Lian Song, a hitman from Taipei who hides out in Okinawa between jobs. After a particularly difficult assignment, he finds himself questioning his place in the world while "decompressing" in Japan. He falls into his routine. Lian Song enjoys cooking his own gourmet meals, swimming at the local pool (where a pretty staff worker harbors a secret crush on him), and doing his laundry at the same laundromat at the same time every Friday night, when he knows he'll run into the quiet stranger he dreams about. She turns out to be Yukiko. Lian Song follows Yukiko and finds out she works in a kitchen preparing bento boxes. He occasionally buys a bento box, and finds them inedible, but when he approaches Yukiko at her job and asks about buying one, she gives him one, and this bento box turns out to be strangely delicious. Meanwhile, back in Taipei, the hitman's employers have run into trouble with a rival gang whose boss Lian Song executed. The rivals have apparently taken control of the local police department. They offer a truce, but only if Lian Song's bosses turn him over to them. Starlit High Noon was selected by the Museum of Modern Art and the Film Society of Lincoln Center for inclusion in the 2005 edition of New Directors/New Films.

In the year 2014, Japan has collapsed economically and thus its people emigrated in large numbers and settled in other parts of the world. In a corner in Asia, there is a little street called Mallepa, a big melting pot where Asians such as Hongkongers, Taiwanese and Japanese live together. It was a place where people fought for order, food and freedom. It was there where Shou (Gackt), raised as an orphan and Kei (Hyde), who could live forever, met and became the best of friends. However, they were unable to escape from the fight for power involving gangs of different ethnicity on the street of Malepa. It is basically a story about friends who grew up and taking different paths down their lives, LeeHom stars in Moon Child with popular artistes Gackt and Hyde. LeeHom also wrote the theme song for the movie, Last Night which is recorded in his Japanese single.



The Avenging Fist

With the working crew responsible for the cgi effects of feng yun and zhong hua ying xiong, comes The Avenging Fist, the latest movie in which LeeHom stars. LeeHom plays the role of Nova, the child born under genetic experiment which aims at unleashing the inner power of the human brain. He has to stop an ambitious War 21 from taking over the world.
The entire movie is set in a futuristic world with flying vehicles with virtual reality scenes aplenty. Special fighting sequences have also been enhanced with computer effects, matrix style, which makes the watching this movie an eye dazzling experience.
