Black lay still listening to the conversation. He was curious what would happen but decided to pretend to sleep so as to avoind having to make any decisions. He was tired and felt like crap so he just lay there waiting for an answer. He had rested for a short while and so felt a little rested but he had a new found appreciation for beds, and for pillows.

After they had all reached the outpost and lay out, stretching and healing themselves, Yuuki yawned loudly, alerting herself of the state of weakness she was in. If someone hadn't woken her up, then maybe she wouldn't be this tired, but in the end, it was all for the best. She settled down, eyes blinking as she nodded off slightly, snuggling towards Olive and his cold-blooded warmth. It was reassuring in a way, making Yuuki forget about her troubles at the moment, just the people here and now- the ones that mattered. Granted, Yuuki had every intention of still caring about the people in real life as well, but everyone around her was important and she wanted to keep them all alive. If they were here, then so was she. Drifting off into a deep slumber, Yuuki slept soundlessly, ignoring everything around her for the moment.

This world was cruel, and disgustingly horrible. If it found one ray of sunshine, it would crush it. It was whether or not she could keep that shadow away, for it would decide her fate.

A burning red filled Wolf's closed eye lids and returned him from his slumber. The right side of his head felt a little strange but he quickly ignored that irritating sensation with two new ones that he was unaware of. The first was a small heap of weight placed upon his chest and the second was one of a very soft pillow under his head. "Pillow? Wasn't I within a combat area?" Wolf turned his head and quickly a very feminine aroma took over him.

Wolf's face quickly flashed a shade of red as he realized what is going on. Getting up swiftly, Wolf accidentally launched the little dragon from his chest and realized that he probably stole his sleeping spot. Soon the little animal went into a position, ready to strike Wolf at any moment but Wolf made many strange gestures trying to communicate with it.

Moments later the tamed beast forgave the colossal idiot and made his way to a new sleeping position waiting for his master's awakening. Wolf looked around, he was the first to wake up. No matter how you sleep, the system makes it so you don't get any muscle aches even though you are placed in a weird position. Contradicting that thought, Wolf stretched, barely missing the wooden bars on the roof.

Several minutes later, a few of the players began to wake up as well. Wolf took this time to come up with a plan. "Morning," he said surprisingly casually. "Let's go over our next plan, shall we?" Wolf sat down with his legs in a pretzel position and began to quietly explain the next operation. "We lost a lot of time but we need to start training again and level at least twice before the next boss battle. The basic strategy from here is to head straight into battle. Nothing complicated. We fight and travel and fight and travel until the boss room appears. After that, we all head back to town to stock up. It's not too complicated but we need to take caution when getting hit. The plan is to fight until sunset, and that is a long time. Each hit will stack up and before you know it, you're at 50% and the day is barely over. Take caution and play it safe. A whole day of battling is what we need if we plan on clearing this floor. Is everyone ready?" By this time, everyone should be awake.

"So, who'll take the lead?"

The night had set in, and the players had now settled into the small dwelling above the forest floor. As people began to drift off into sleep, Vyse felt his own head get heavy. The previous battle with the centaurs hadn't been too strenuous, but over the last few days, he had slept very little. He moved across the wooden platform quietly, so as not to wake anyone, and came to rest against one of the four walls. There, he sat, crossed-legged, and upon his lap he rested his glimmering claymore. He wasn't sure why, but whenever the weight of the sword was pressed against him, he felt safe. Whether it was on his back, in his lap, or in his hands, the weight of the mighty blade always soothed him. Maybe it was the security it represented. Or maybe he was just losing it. Either way, his eyes grew heavier, and soon he was encompassed by the blackness of his dreams.

Soon, his slumber came to an end as the morning sun warmed his cheeks. With heavy eyes, he peered around at the group. Wolf had been the first up and now sat on the opposite side of the platform. With a smile, he greeted Vyse, And Vyse returned the gesture, albeit rather half heartedly. He rubbed his eyes and stretched his legs before moving closer to the hulk of a man sitting across the makeshift room. Together, they tried to come up with a plan for the next few days. Wolf had suggested that they play it safe, and his reasoning was sound. However, if they played it safe, the group as a whole would level much slower. Vyse noticed that more and more of the group were rousing, and decided it was best not to voice his thoughts.

"So, who'll take the lead?" Wolf said as he finished explaining the plan to the group. Vyse was the first to respond, and silently raised his hand.

Sleeping on the ground for a good part of the night, Amon finally awoke to hear Wolf talking about a battle plan. "I should probably listen to what he has to say, otherwise I'll probably get myself killed." Amon mumbled to himself as he crawled over to the rest of the group. "Fight safely" was the only thing Amon caught out of the conversation when he sat up and immediately Amon thought to himself "I need to get me a shield" and then fell backwards. Raising his hand up into the air Amon said aloud, "Can somebody help me up? Also if anybody finds a shield can I have it?"

The sun burned on nicks face as he was trying to sleep, after 3 minutes of pointlessly trying to catch some rest he got up and saw that wolf and vyse we're already awake.

"Morning" Wolf said casually.

Morning wolf. Nick said and got up.

"Let's go over our next plan, shall we?" Wolf sat down with his legs in a pretzel position.
The basic strategy from here is to head straight into battle. Nothing complicated. We fight and travel and fight and travel until the boss room appears.

Nick was listening but his attention was also elsewhere.

"So, who'll take the lead?" wolf asked and Vyse already had his hand in the air.

That settles that. Nick though. I'm not a leader, never was never will be.

He looked to his left and saw amon fall down.
"Can somebody help me up? Also if anybody finds a shield can I have it?" He asked.

Nick reached out and helped him up. Yea, sure Amon. Nick said and got his inventory open.
He materialised an sturdy wooden shield. It wasn't much, but it should be enough for at least 2 or 3 floors for them to find a better one.

"You can have it Amon. Using shields just isn't my style" He said and smiled.

No one had any objections to Vyse taking the lead, and that put his mind at ease a little. In the corner of his vision, Vyse saw Amon flop backwards onto the floor. Nick was the first to reach him, and after helping him up, handed him a shield from his inventory.
"Well then, it looks like everyones ready." he said as he scanned the group. He slowly walked to the edge of the platform and gazed down at the old wooden ladder before turning on his heel to face everyone.
"Shall we be off?" he asked. The words had barely left his mouth before he turned again and jumped off the outpost. The ground came rushing to meet him, and he landed a little harder than he thought, but managed to maintain his balance, and landed with an element of grace.

As the group descended the ladder one at a time, Vyse set about straightening his sword on his back, and checked his armour. When he was satisfied with his equipment, and the group had assembled at the bottom of the tower, Vyse addressed them again.
"So I'll be taking the lead up here, and Amon, I want you behind me. That shield could come in handy. Wolf, if you don't have a problem with it, I would like you to guard the back with Yuuki. Your defence and her speed will ensure we don't get jumped from behind. The rest of you can organise however you like, but stay together. Any questions?"

Vyse hopped to the ground and Wolf saw the slightly dense impact. He thought a normal drop wouldn't suffice so he needed to add a little twist to it. Wolf turned his back to the exit and let his body drop head first. He saw the floor below him and tucked his legs in right away. Upon impact with the floor, he continued off by rolling it out and skidding a little because of his massive weight. Stopping next to Vyse, he gave him a nod and began his <<detection>> ability.

"This is more like it," Wolf thought as Vyse gave instructions to the party. Now all he had to focus on was executing his two new moves. "We should make-" Wolf began but quickly dismissed himself. He already forgot that he wasn't taking the lead this time around. He needed to focus on his own power for once instead of the power of the group as a whole. He was lagging, falling behind in power quickly to the people around him. Although he knew teamwork was important, the group is only as strong as its weakest member, which at the moment is Wolf.

He was a berserker, a single swing, heavy hitter playing the center. He was the biggest target, the most obvious opponent, and easily of the slowest members, ranking a little faster than Amon. He needed to become and unstoppable freight train that took out anything in its path. He needed to become an offensive juggernaut.

"Actually," Wolf said attempting to just toss in an idea. "Would you like me to signal all of the monsters within the vicinity while staying close to a safe point?"

Seeing wolf do his fancy drop, Black once again wondered how he had gotten himself into this mess. They had pretty much figured out that they were going to do, the whole slow but steady approach. This meant that they would be out here a while and slowly working their ways up the levels. Wolf had mentioned that they needed to raise up two levels but Black wanted to do twelve. He had to improve his spear/staff abilities and he also wanted to improve his throwing weapons. An unusual combination but the throwing knives had proven to just be too useful when the situation needed to be stealthy. More and more it was like he was becoming a thief and he didn't know if he liked it. It felt like he was slowly loosing everything that his wife had loved an he was really on the fence about it. He wondered how she would have liked the new him, the different him. Looking back he saw Yuuki and Mizuko still on the podium. For some reason seeing the small, and innocent in the game seemed to harden his resolve. Like all the times previously it worked, but it seemed like every time it took a little bit longer to happen, and had a little less of an effect. He was slowly starting to get that empty feeling he once had before and he didn't know what to do to stop it, and on that happy note he looked at Wolf and Vyse wondering just what was up next. He was thinking too much and a fight was a good way to stop it.

Slowly rousing from her deep and well needed sleep, from the sunlight streaming through, Yuuki inquired that it was morning. She could hear everyone's voices below, and slowly snapped out of her haze. Getting up, Yuuki patted Olive on her shoulder who nuzzled his scaled nose into her face. The light reflecting off of him made her eyes squint considerably and the dragon was practically laughing at her; he had woken up a long time ago due to a figure she had felt, but didn't care about. Blinking her eyes groggily as she climbed down the tall outpost, she jumped the last few steps and landed with a loud thud. Mostly everyone was already awake, and Yuuki, in real life, had never been much of an early riser so it didn't surprise the girl at all. The trees around them towered monstrously, sending a shiver down Yuuki's spine. She let the feeling go and turned back towards the other players. They seemed to be discussing something, and Yuuki headed towards Vyse and Wolf.

"What am I supposed to do?" She asked, and stifled a yawn that held the threat of coming loose.

Making his way down the ladder Amon was the last person on the ground. Looking over he saw Wolf trying to be flashy as ever jumping down off of the top and rolling when he hit the ground. "He needs to stop showing off for that girl, he is going to do something stupid one of these days."

Looking over to Vyse, he set up all of the parties positions. Amon snuck a look at Wolf who was looking uneasy but ignored it because he just thought that he wanted to make the plan. The positions were that Vyse and Amon out front, Yuuki and Wolf in the back and everybody else in the middle. Amon equipped the shield looking at all of the stats, and he was mildly impressed especially since a swordsman was just carrying it around and he hadn't sold it. It would have gone for a good chunk of money to the right guy. Amon had never used a shield before so he was just hoping he would be able to use it effectively. "See that field up there?" Amon announced. "That is one of the spots I was told about from the broker. There should be earth golems on the far side. They high health but are very slow. Pick your attacks and don't let yourself be double-teamed."

When nick gave the shield to Amon he followed after the rest of the group to go down and
level up a bit.
He saw wolf jump down in a way that he wanted to show off.
Damn, hope he doesn't do anything stupid. Nick thought and sighed.

Nick jumped down from the outpost to the ground and landed next to wolf.
He stretched out when he saw a notice pop up in front of him.

The boss has been revealed : Arristotle, The Solid Fist

Good. He thought then we can stop wasting time and get to it.

He looked at the bottom of the notice and saw Required Item Blue Key of Water.

Looks like we'll need to get that before we can open the door.
So what's our next move, now that the boss has appeared? Nick asked vyse.
Stay the course or change of plans?

Mizuko's eyes popped open as she looked around. Apparently, everyone had woken up and was already down below her, organizing a plan. Standing up slowly, she made her way down the ladder, she caught some of the plans Wolf and the others were saying. Soon, when she made it to the group, they had decided to execute their plan. She began to follow them and yawned when suddenly, a notice popped up in front of her. She looked up to see that the other players from her group had also received the notice. Touching it, the notice opened and it read that the boss of floor 5 had been revealed. The name of the boss was Arristotle, The Solid Fist. Continuing to read, at the bottom, it had read that in order to open the boss door, it was required an item called Blue Key of Water. "So what's our next move, now that the boss has appeared?Stay the course or change of plans?" she heard Nick ask Vyse, who was the leader. "Well, if I may, I suggest that while we look for the Blue Key of Water, we can also level up while doing so. Then when we find the required item, we can go back to town, stock up with whatever we need and of course, head to the boss." she said and smiled.

The boss' location had been revealed, but the revelation didn't sit well with Vyse. None of them were strong enough yet, and if they tried to clear the floor so soon, there would definitely be a casualty. However, to access the final room of the floor, they needed to find a key. "That will buy us time to train.." he thought to himself as he tried to devise a plan. Mizuko had raised Vyse's thought exactly, and said that they could level while they searched for the key. He agreed with her reasoning, and decided on the next course of action.

"Mizuko is right. We need to find the key, but our training has top priority for now. I think I remember there being a large lake to the north, which would be a reasonable place to look for the key. However, there is a small cave system a little west, which I believe has a series of connecting pools of water.." Vyse said, his hand on his chin, deep in thought. He was the leader of this group, and his decision would be a pivotal point in their adventures. Weighing up the differences, Vyse finally said "I think we should search the caves. They're much closer, and if the search takes too long, the caves can be used as shelter. Any objections? he asked. When no one replied, he continued, "Very well. Keep the same formation while we travel. Yuuki, can you send Olive into the air to keep watch? the extra eyes will be helpful."

The group shuffled into formation, and when Vyse was happy with the assembly, he gave the order, "Alright everyone, Move out!"
