Mizuko sprinted towards the rally point, where her group might be as quickly as she could, also thinking on the way. What could they be doing right now? Battling a ginormous creature? Leveling up? Up ahead, her eyes suddenly widened and her hands flew to her rapier as her eyes landed on a giant scorpion.

First losing my group. Now facing a stupid giant scorpion. she thought and before she could register what was going to happen, the scorpion caught sight of her and made a sudden move at her. Without thinking, she automatically moved to the right of the scorpion as its stinger slammed to the ground of where she had once been and caught a glimpse of a group of very familiar players. A tall and bulky player was unmistakably Wolf. Most of the players that she knew was also there. There was one player that she didn't recognize but she'll find out later. As the scorpion sent another strike at her, she did a backflip and deflected the strike, which gave her just enough time to return the hit and sent one <<Linear>> strike at its belly. The strike was strong enough to throw the scorpion a few feet from. Her and lowered its HP bar.
This gave her enough time to <<sprint>> towards her group before the scorpion's tail tried to hit her again. "So, what's the plan?" She asked the group, getting straight to the point.

It's pretty obvious by now the it's underbelly is it's weakness. If we can cut off it's stinger it will be easy as pie to flip that thing over and finish it off with ease."

The plan was to sneak inside the grass and wait for scorpy to be distraced, then they would cut off the tail and deal with the beast.

"Nice plan" nick said and was getting into position.

"Let's get this over with,"
"We might have company." Wolf said. Nick saw he was nervous. that made nick nervous.

Nick had send wolf a quick message saying "Something on your mind? A PK group?"
And left it at that.
He ran into the grass and hoped the plan would succeed before the situaton turned sour.

Now nick needed to wait for wolf and amon to move and then take the tail from the scorpion

"Oh it's just Blondie," Wolf said connecting her to the additional player he was detecting. "Nice of you to join us. The plan is to take off its tail and flip it over. After that, we could take out its life in a heart beat with all of the players we have with us." Scorpy was ready to go again and was looking for a target. We already got a bunch of hits in and we only cleared the first of three green bars. "Split up!" <<Howl>>. By this time, Scorpy had picked off most of the Wild Daer and the rest had fled. Its attention was now towards Wolf. Normally, a legendary monster or sub boss wouldn't respond to Wolf's howl, which was a much higher level than it used to be, it responded to it thanks to its current aggression state which is very high.

The stinger came straight for Wolf and he had no intention of dodging it, instead, he took it head on and grabbed it. Wolf had lost 15% of his health but that was a lot. That dropped his health a whole 100 points. Even with his current defense, Wolf was shocked as to the fact that he lost that much HP. Another thing happened when he got hit though, a very transparent sign appeared at the bottom of Wolf's vision. It said, "Resist". Every six seconds that Wolf held onto the stinger, he lost 5% and a "Resist" message appeared before him. Eventually, it isn't going to say resist and Wolf wasn't sure what was going on so he just prayed that they would get the stinger off by then.

"Come on, guys. I don't have all day."

W-What the hell is he doing! Nick thought as he saw wolf grab the stinger with his bare hands.

He had lost 15 percent health, and by a miracle he wasn't poisoned.

"Come on, guys. I don't have all day." He yelled.

that shook nick out of his shocked state and he jumped out of the grass, his weapon already shone blue.
When he was in range he let lose, vertical strike!
His sword came down on the tail and sliced it clean off.

Wolf fell on his back when the stinger was cut off because of the pressure behind the attack.

"You alright?" Nick asked and offered his hand to get him up.

Scorpy had retreated 5 meters and was twitching, it looks angry with the loss of it's tail...

Amon say Wolf take the stinger of the monster head on taking major damage and taking more by the second. Amon rushed to help him with the tail but Nick had already sliced it off by the time Amon reached the monster.

"Well that worked better than expected." Amon laughed as Nick helped up Wolf. Wolf still had over half health so Amon wasn't too worried about losing Wolf... again. The monster had reteated back looking very angry at the loss of its tail. it's pincers unfortunately were still intact and Amon rushed the monster blocking the monsters attack. Amon blocked the scorpion's left pincer with his shield and slid on his side and stopped inbetween it's second and third leg. Amon's sword glowed a dark blue as he charged up his and attack not even worrying about yelling it out and successfully flipped the scorpion. "Hey, you wants some scorpy bisque?" Amon waved over to the rest of the team.

Asuna watched as an interesting series of events unfolded before her. First one of the players took on the stinger by grabbing it in one place allowing another person to jump in and clean off the stinger. The plan after that was to get the scorpion on its back, leaving its stomach fully exposed. Amon then went in and flipped the scorpion on its back. Right now the large monster was squirming madly, trying to get back in its usual position. Its legs flailing in the air madly and pincers trying to push against the ground to get flipped right side up.

Now was a good time to finish off the monster. Asuna sprinted forth toward the scorpion and right before she reached it, she kicked off the ground, allowing her to jump high in the air. She landed right on the scorpion's bare stomach and immediately started sending out linear strikes to decrease its health even more. The monster was still resisting madly while on its back and was trying to shake Asuna off. Asuna jumped off the monster's stomach when she was satisfied with how she decreased its health.

"Everybody retreat, I have a plan!" yelled out Amon, as the rest of the party retreated into the grass.

"What?!"yelled Galen, but it would seem no one had heard him. Damnit! thought Galen. Easier said than done. He was still hanging off the creature's stinger ready for another attack. The only problem was, since the rest of the party had left, the scorpion now had its full attention on Galen who was riding its tail. I've got to jump off, but thats kinda hard while he's swinging his tail so wildly! I've got to try and hold on till he calms down a bit. The problem was that Scorpy never calmed down, and eventually Galen's grip loosened just enough for the beast to send him flying into a nearby rock...shattering it and damaging Galen as well. Galen's eyesight began to blur as his hp bar dropped a good 10% before he began blacking in and out. He tried to clear his eyes as dust was settling all around him, and all he could hear was a renewed battle. What's going on? he thought, as he heard a thud. Just then, the scorpion's tail flew through the air and landed right next to Galen...twitching and slashing like a dying snake. "Whoa!" yelled out Galen as he tried to avoid the still poisonous stinger thrashing along the ground. He quickly came to his senses as he jumped away from the danger, trying to reassess the situation.

Scorpy had been toppled and asuna retreated after launching numerous strikes.
Cutting of it's tail depleted the second bar of health and amon and asuna's strikes
caused the hp to get into the deep yellow zone.

Nick charged ahead before anyone could move, he passed asuna as she retreated and said "Nice work, i'll finish it off"
She nodded towards him. "I'll leave it to you then" She said as nick passed her.

He roared as he charged towards the legendary beast who was still on his back, this would be quite a comical sight to see. Nick thought.

His blade shone red as he approached his prey.

The blade connected from the bottom of it's head, nick kept running his blade to his left side, was still slicing trough his prey.
With each passing second the HP of the legendary monster decreased exponentially.

When nick jumped the last meter he landed two meters behind the monster, it's HP on the last bar reached zero and it was unknown if it was nick screaming or the monster as it blew away into tiny fragments.

Now, you all might be wondering where Noiki was when all this Scorpy-fighting was going on. She was wandering around the desolate fields, looking like an escaped mental patient with the lost look on her face. And that's exactly what she was. Not an escaped mental patient. Lost.

She had turned away from Amon, for two seconds. Literally two seconds. And then she turned back to him, and he was nowhere to be seen. She had called his name, looked everywhere, asked people if they had seen him. Of course, most people were too rude to even notice a wide-orange-eyed girl nagging them about some boy. She'd tried to retrace his footsteps, but she had always been awful at that, and she got so tangled up and lost that she just ended up staring blankly ahead of her towards the windy fields.

She was having a blank moment. It was one of those moments where she was just sitting or standing there, and she had to go do something, but something in her brain was like, "NO, you're gonna die if you move, bro." So she usually just stood there until it passed. In this case, she stood there for almost half an hour.

Suddenly, she heard a somewhat-girly-but-totally-a-guy's scream pretty far away. It snapped her out of her stay-still half-hour and she looked towards the sound. She couldn't see much, but she saw fragments disappearing. Her eyes opened wider, and she started running towards the sound.

Ten minutes later, when she finally reached the group, she was not surprised to see that it was her team. It was also not a person who had disappeared, but some sort of monster. She set her hands on her hips somewhat annoyed, somewhat humorously.

"Thanks for running off so unexpectedly, guys. I was completely lost." she said, leaving out the part about staring into a field for half an hour.

His plan had worked prefectly. Nick had swiped off the monster's tail, Amon had flipped it over and then Asuna and Nick had finished it off. The fight had been relatively easy and Amon wondered why they were called "legendary" anyway. They could have easily taken it out with two or three people. If the rest of the monsters were going to go like this, this quest was going to be a piece of cake. Amon hoped that the rest was going to be easy but he had a feeling in his gut that it was going to get much harder. "Thanks for running off so unexpectedly, guys. I was completely lost." said a familiar voice. "I was wondering when you would show up." Amon laughed. "We already killed it and finished part of the quest. What were you doing for the past hour?"

"Wolf where does it look like the next monster is?" Amon said walking over to him.

Vyse snapped out of his daze when he heard a screech pierce the air, and when his blurry vision finally focused, he could see the fragmented remains of the legendary beast slowly disappearing as they floated away on the breeze. Wow, did I zone out for the entire battle?.. he thought as he made a move to rejoin the group. As he approached he sheathed his sword and removed the buckler from his wrist, welcoming the lightness that he now felt in its place. When he arrived he gave a quick apology for his lack of concentration before Amon brought up the next topic. "Wolf, where do you think the next monster is?" he asked, and Vyse opened his map to inspect the area.

The map would only show areas that the payer had been to or seen, so Vyse's map pretty much ended where the group was standing seeing as he had been hunting around the area before. With a slight huff, he closed his map and waited for Wolf to make a suggestion.

"Well that was easy," Wolf said as he got up and dusted himself off. "We should probably hunt the other two now. One is probably deeper into the combat area, and the other is probably on the opposite side of the map. Since we are together already, we might as well continue on through here and try to find it. I'm assuming it'll be a giant Wild Daer and a giant sand worm. We should be careful either way."

Wolf placed his massive sword on his back and massaged his arms and shoulders. Nobody should have such a heavy weapon equipped at this level. "I wonder where that guy got this weapon," Wolf thought as he ran the possibilities through his head.

"Either way, our maps should be empty so traveling in the direction opposite of town should help out a bit." Without saying much else or waiting for everyone to respond, he simply walked off, towards the direction of the sunset that was still pretty high in the sky.

"...Opposite direction of town should help out a bit." Wolf said. Without another word, he turned around and began to walk. None of the group had mapped this far out, so none of them knew where they would be going, but Wolf walked anyway. Vyse gave a quick look between the group and Wolf, not knowing what to do. Finally, he settled on Wolf and quickly began to follow. He had to jog to close the distance that was already forming between them, and when he reached Wolf, he stepped in front of him. Walking backwards, Vyse gave Wolf a smile and a friendly punch on the arm. "You could have waited," he said with a slight laugh. "So, Wolf Gilgamesh, Any ideas about what we might find ahead?"

Asuna was glad to see nobody was injured badly during the scorpion fight. The situation went smoothly and the plan worked out. Hopefully taking down the upcoming legendary monsters would help improve teamwork. However the one main factor to consider when it came to boss battles are the elements of unpredictability. Even a well organized plan had the potential to go awry. A key to success is the ability to adapt to unwarranted situations. The last boss on the 5th floor was especially unpredictable and nearly killed a few members.

As the group was heading out to another location, Asuna put her rapier back in its sheath. As long as somebody in the group had a decent detection or searching skill, the group should not get drastically lost. As strange as it sounded, she missed the combat zones that had forests or beautiful scenery. This floor's combat zone was barren and desolate, which created an empty feeling atmosphere. Forests reminded her of her grandparent's home back in the real world.

"Any ideas about what we might find again?" Vyse said as he took steps backwards in order to face Wolf and continue along the trail.

"Yeah," Wolf said shifting his gaze left and right as if suspicious of something. He stopped walking, unaware of how many comrades he still had with him. "This place is perfect." There was nothing but snow as far as the eyes could see. Monsters were spawned out in such a heavy number it was almost like a war could take place against them. "These monsters are weak, but judging by the looks of their numbers, it might be hard to take out practically one hundred of them."

Wolf grasped the hilt of his giant sword and stuck it into the ground before him. "Are you ready, team?" He said hoping everyone was catching his drift. They needed to level up fast. This was their best hope and with Wolf's howl at a much higher level than what it used to be, farming will be much easier. Further more, since they are in a party, they might just even get party bonus experience points.

"Spartans!" Wolf shouted as he grabbed his sword once more. "What is your profession?!"

<<Howl>> And with that, Wolf let out a major howl that attracted the attention of practically every monster in sight.
