Akatsuki, which means Dawn, is a criminal organization in the world of Naruto Manga. If you have not read Naruto, you may experience the syndrome of Not Knowing What the Hell Jojiro is Talking About. If that is the case, there are two solutions:

Dos : Go to One Manga and read up on Naruto until you have a nice, complete understanding of all that we talk about.

Pein - Blackpajamas

Pein is the incredibly pwn-some leader of the nefarious Akatsuki. He has the Rinnegan, which appears as multi-ringed pupils. This is a dou-jutsu, and supposedly the origin of all nin-jutsu. Pein was trained by Jiraiya when he was younger, but is also the killer of the Toad Hermit, later on.
The “Pain Rikudou” are six bodies possessed by Pein through some unknown technique, and one of them is his old teammate, Yahiko. His other teammate, Konan, is helping him in the Akatsuki.

Blackpajamas, who is Pein, is quite… persistent if you annoy him. Be sure not to!

Konan - Mina-chan4

Konan was also a pupil of Jiraiya. Unlike Pein, who has an almost unlimited knowledge of techniques, her techniques are limited to origami jutsu's. She is quite creative in their use, able to fracture her body into pieces of paper which act as scouts. Using paper, she can create weapons and even body parts, such as wings.
She seems to be quite innocent at the time when Jiraiya trained her, but in the Akatsuki, she is now a cold and mysterious Shinobi.

Mina-chan4 is not someone I know very well. For that reason, I won’t comment here.

An outcast in his own country, this clay-wielding ninja joined Akatsuki when there were not a lot of members in it yet. With his explosives, he
Though amazing, Deidara met his doom at the hands of an equally amazing (and freaky) Sasuke. Red eyes versus too many mouths! Who will win?
Well...considering Sasuke is a main character, it was a no-brainer. Thus, only no-brains like Jojiro would have considered Deidara the victor. Too bad, yo.
His death, like his art, was a rather big ass boom.

His other techniques are mainly just molding explosive clay animals. They look kinda cute most of the time actually. His best technique is the C4 Garuda, which is the micro-engineering equivalent to a Weapon of Mass Destruction.
Seriously! Tiny bombs invisible to your eye invade various hosts, blowing them up from the inside. Icky, but Sasuke managed to short-circuit all the bombs. That Uchiha knows his stuff!

That's about it for jutsu's of Deidara. Oh right. He can ride his clay animals too.

Starangelwolf is short tempered and thinks art is a bang as well but smart like Sasori Image and a good leader ^_^ Just don't make her mad.

Sasori is, in my opinion, one of the weakest Akatsuki members. He was beaten by forefead-girl and some autistic old lady.

Right. Old freak. And Sasori was killed by them! He's a friggin piece of wood! And he was still killed because he was too dumb for his own good. If he didn't let down his guard, he would have won. But no. He lost to another main character (see Deidara). Ah well. At least, before he died, he was added to the Naruto storyline.

Moving on to Sasori's techniques. They are actually really cool, but he just uses them stupidly. He has so many, I'm going to list them.

Flamethrower:
I want a flamethrower. Who doesn't? His hands can sprout cannons that burn everything in sight. It is a really fearsome weapon, capable of destroying villages that are more wood-oriented. However, like I said before, Sasori is weak in his creativity. Do you know what he does with his awesome, destructive flamethower?
He burns a rock. Watch the anime! I'm serious when I say this. Sakura and Chiyo are hiding behind a boulder, trying to come up with a plan, while Sasori sits back and blasts away, to no avail. Great use of fuel right there.

Liquid Jet:
On a more serious note, we have Sasori's liquid jets. These also come out of his hands, and shoot pressurized water with the ability to slice through stone. He used this on the rock after realizing that fire wouldn't make the cut. Unfortunately, he has very little water to spare, and both Sakura and Chiyo manage to dodge the dangerous blasts of water.

Puppets:
Being a puppeteer, Sasori has many puppets. There are three notable ones: Hiruko, Sandaime Kazekage, and Sasori himself.
Hiruko is the puppet he resides in. It has few weapons, limited to a few projectiles and a metal tail. He defeats Kankurou with this puppet. Later, Sakura smashes it. Like all of Sasori's puppets, Hiruko was made from a living human. I think Sasori did that human a favor, turning him into a puppet. I mean, he must have been really ugly as a human with such a large chin!

The Sandaime Kazekage puppet is Sasori's favorite combat weapon. As one might guess, it is decked out with razors, wires, arms, poison gas, and the famed Iron Sand. It is a truly nice weapon. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by Sakura's punch. Two puppets down...

Sasori is a puppet himself, and decided to honor Chiyo and Sakura by showing them his most dramatic performance: the Crimson Secret of a Hundred Puppets. For those that can't count, you are screwed!
Controlling them with strings coming out of his chest cavity, Sasori manages to severely injure both Chiyo and Sakura. However, due to missed chances and a trap set by Chiyo, Sasori is still killed successfully in the end. His one weak spot, a container of his mortal self, was punctured by Chiyo's two marionettes, "Father" and "Mother." It is possible that Sasori saw this trap, but wanted to die anyway. Chiyo later says this. It is debatable

Itachi - ziva
Great Massacre-er of the Uchiha Clan

Ah, the great and much loved Itachi. At online forums, you will find that he has more fangirls than Sasuke.
This guy has the Mangekyou Sharingan, and with it, he can MS the crap outta ya. He has many enemies who want to kill him, apparently. Deidara wanted to beat Itachi, Kisame has hinted that he wants to fight Itachi, Sasuke obviously wants to kill Itachi, and Naruto now wants to kill him as well. (Also Starangelwolf wants to kill him as well :P)
Itachi is stronger than even Kakashi, and is supposedly losing his eyesight. He seems to like crows, though whether he can actually summon them is a matter of debate. His full strength hasn't yet been shown, as he is smart enough to run away from battles with too many opponents.
However, he does show his MS techniques in the Naruto series. He uses Tsukiyomi and Ameratasu
Respectively, one places the enemy in a separate dimension for torture, while another summons an abnormally strong flame that can burn anything. When people say that Itachi has MS'd someone, they usually mean Tsukiyomi. He, finally, had his final battle with Sasuke, and had an attempt to take Sasuke's eyes to complete the mangekyou sharingan. However, he died and doing something to Sasuke, which is mangekyou sharingan summoning in his eyes, so tsukiyomi will automatically appear upon Tobi (it was done to protect Sasuke from Tobi).

We know lil about him so once we figure out who he is and what he does we will quickly update it. The only few things we know of that he eats ppl and able to hide in trees, ground, walls, and etc.

Tobi - KrayZ
Partner: Deidara

Not much is known about tobi besides the fact that he has the Sharingan and calls himself by the founder of the Uchiha clan's name Uchiha Madara.

But there are more theories then there are questions when it comes to Tobi. Some think that Pein used his resurrection technique to raise him from the dead, and let him keep one Sharingan eye.
But then why the mask?
Which brings me to my favorite theory that some how some way Tobi is kakashi's supposedly deceased team mate Obito. This makes sense because Tobi more than likely only has one eye (kakashi has the other), the name is alike, and his hair is an almost identical match to Obito's.
Oh, there is also another idea, Madara's soul was put into a host body making the person who the soul was put into a Jinchuuriki. Itachi do something into Sasuke, and whenever Tobi gets near him tsukiyomi automatically appears upon Tobi...Know one knows much more than that so this info will be updated.

Orochimaru - freddo88

Orochimaru was selected to study under Sandaime Hokage. As quiet and focused young psycho, he impressed his teacher and grew more and more skilled as the years passed. Over time Orochimaru became obsessed with learning every possible jutsu and extending his own life. Soon after orochimaru began his murderous experiments Sandaime Hokage found out, and orochimaru fled the village.

Soon after he joined the mysterious Akatsuki, a group of missing-nins whose goal was to travel the world gathering jutsu and eventually gain possession of the bijuu. Orochimaru would eventually leave the group after several years. Though he left, he would carry one memento from his time with them. A jar in his compound would hold his old body's hand with his Akatsuki identification ring.....dude sick

Orochimaru would return to Leaf during the Chuunin Exam to determine if Uchiha Sasuke would be a worthy vessel to hold his spirit because he wanted a body with the Sharingan ability to help him learn all the jutsu of the world.

Orochimaru was forced to retreat after the Hokage removed his ability to use jutsu. He fled Konoha once again. Orochimaru realized his options were limited, so he sought out his fellow teammate and Sannin Tsunade. Tsunade carefully considered Orochimaru's offer to heal him in exchange for the resurrection of his dead brother and boyfriend. She eventually said no, and once again he retreated to his hideout after an embarassing fight. With his body dying Orochimaru was forced to switch into a body that wasn't Sasuke.

Kabuto had been placed with Orochimaru as a spy by Sasori. Orochimaru knew this early on and removed Sasori's jutsu on Kabuto. When Sasori arranged to meet Kabuto once again, Orochimaru and Kabuto planned to take him out. They were surprised by Team Kakashi instead. Orochimaru would once again face Naruto and be forced to change his plans once again. Soon after he tried to take over sasuke uchihas body, sasuke killed his ass, but part of him lives on in kabuto...poor snakeman T-T

And as freddo88 anyone who is brave enough to admit that he wants to be orochimaru in public deserves our praise, good for ya pal.....

Akatsuki's Ugliest member Image yea I'm evil anywho he's one of the 7 Swordmen of the Mist there are only five that we know him,Zabuza, Magetsu and Raikage and the about to be one and Zabuza's student and Mangetsu's brother Suigetsu
He is blue which is weird how he got blue he's sword, Samehada, it shaves and eats chakra and it only gets weild by its user or the person that not the user wields it then it slice the hands of the nonuser

Kisame engaged in murder and rebellion in his home country, fleeing Mist he joined Akatsuki Kisame is partnered with Uchiha Itachi They have been assigned to capture the Nine-Tails Jinchuuriki Naruto. They have attempted to capture Naruto once.

Kakuzu-Casey_and_Friends
Partner to Hidan

Jinchuuriki Captured: Unknown (Although it is believed that he has already obtained one)

Kakuzu is a missing-nin from Hidden Waterfall. He and his partner Hidan were responsible for acquiring the Two-Tailed Jinchuuriki. He was a bounty hunter who often got sidetracked on bounty hunts His body was stitched together by strange tendrils which he used to rip out the hearts of his opponents and then insert into his own body This granted him their elemental affinities in the form of masked tendril entities. Along with his own Water affinity, he had access to Wind, Fire, Earth and Lightning attacks Kakashi destroyed the Earth Heart, Hidan accidentally destroyed Water and Naruto destroyed Wind and Fire Kakuzu was then finished off by Kakashi.

Kakuzu was much older than he appeared, recalling that he once fought Shodai Hokage The outcome of the match is not known Kakuzu was able to extend his life by withdrawing the hearts of his opponents This also allowed him to utilize their chakra nature affinity, granting him access to all five chakra elements Kakuzu's body was held together by mysterious black tendrils, which sewed together various chunks of his body These stitches could be removed to allowed him to extend his body parts Kakuzu eventually fled Hidden Waterfall and joined Akatsuki He was partnered with another fellow "immortal" in Hidan.
(Holy crap he able to use five element that is so sweet!!)

Casey is money driven more than Kakuzu himself, Also Casey seems to have a muffin complex, Does Kakuzu have one too? Does anyone really care?


Hidan-Crazyjohn408
Partner to Kakuzu

Jinchuuriki Captured: Two-tailed

Hidan bears a large rope scythe and he admits that he is the slowest attacker of the group He hails from some as of yet unknown village. Hidan practices a Jashin. This religion loves chaos and death, and Hidan himself is near immortal, surviving after being decapitated. Hidan and Kakuzu were directed to capture the two-tailed bijuu Jinchuuriki Nii Yugito This kunoichi from Hidden Cloud was highly skilled and not easily captured by the pair The Jinchuuriki seemed to have been assigned as Kakuzu's personally to capture. Which Hidan recklessly beat the two tail user half to death. On one of Kakuzu's side bounty trips, he killed Sarutobi Asuma in battle using some unknown jutsu which allows damage to himself to be felt by his opponent He was eventually blown up and buried deep underground by Shikamaru.

He practices a very bloody and ritualistic version of Buddhistic principles It requires him to kill his opponents outright and perform twisted and long rituals upon victory He is a Jashin lover and Jashin is an evil God of Hell he killed Asuma.
