Currently 17 years old, he's a high school boy working for the Easter company. He has one guardian character and recently joined the guardians. Ikuto has a cocky and laid back attitude much like Yoru. He often teases Amu and seems to appear out of nowhere in her time of need. His father, Aruto, a famous violinist disappeared when it was his time to take over the Easter company. With his mother alone and heart broken, she remarried Easter's new director after finding Aruto's violin washed up in the sea. Ikuto has a fourteen year old sister, Utau, who is in love with him. Also, we just found out Ikuto has a second egg still inside himself. He is currently interested in Amu, and admitted to her in chapter 43.





Currently 12 years old, Amu is a sixth grader helping the guardians find the embryo. In volume one, she was the new "cool and spicy" girl, who moved only six months ago. Amu wished hard to show her true character and ended up one morning with 3 character eggs. She is shocked and confused about the unhatched eggs, where the guardains take her in to explain. At first she refuses, wanting to be with her old and friends and be normal and later joins. She also got closer to her crush, Tadase. She learns about Easter and the embryo, but that does not change the fact that she is friends with Ikuto. Amu later discovers a fourth egg, Dia that becomes an x character and joins Utau. Dia comes back at the end and Amu was able to transform with all four charas. Amu was interested in Tadase, and recently uncovered her hidden feelings for Ikuto in chapter 43.



Volume 1
When Ikuto first met Amu, she fell onto him from above. Literally! But their meeting wasn't fated from the heavens, but as enemies from two different worlds. It was his duty to capture her eggs and figure out if one of them was the embryo.

After their first meeting, he cornered her again after the third egg, but his plan didn't go as anticipated. Instead, Amu went to snatch it back only to have pushed against Ikuto. They have a moment of gazing into each other's eyes then Ikuto falls over, on top of Amu.

Later on, the tart shatters and Amu cries over the hard work she put into it. As Ikuto sees this, a wave of guilt falls over him and he decides to buy her some sweets as an apology.

During the apology, Amu asks what Ikuto's wish is and because of his cocky and care free attitude he tricks her and bites her ear. Amu yells at him, furious and flushed when Ikuto warns her not to become allies with Tadase or else they will become true enemies.

Volume 2




Ikuto's blood related sister who is in love with him. For the begining of the story she was trying to obtain the embryo for Ikuto. She adores him and wants her to be the one he chooses. Later, Utau gets jealous of Amu seeing as how Ikuto is interested in her and declares she won't lose! Amu, as always, is confused and a little scared of Utau. Then, Utau realizes she can't be with Ikuto and tells Amu she can have him.

The prince of the school, the king guardian, and Amu's huge crush! She absolutely loves him and admits it in the first episode do to Ran's character change. At first, Tadase does not like Amu, but as the story goes on he falls in love with Amulet Heart, Ran's character transformation. Amu is stabbed in the heart and sad that she is her own worst enemy. Eventually, Tadase falls for the "real" Amu, confessing to her before Ikuto. And now Amu has to decide between the two boys who were once childhood friends.

The different sides they are on, good and evil, make the manga into a Romeo and Juliet. Forbidden love, enimies because of what they fight for and believe in, and yet there are able to get along on just hang out with each other. (When no one is watching, of course) Sometimes, when worse comes to worse, they help each other out even when the two sides are confronted, but the fact that they're against eachother puts them in an awkward position.

Chapter 44 came out September 3.
The chapter starts on Amu assembling a photo album for her graduation. Amu will be heading to middle school, 7th grade. Nagihiko states how she received a letter from Hatoba yuki and Amu asks how when Nagihiko didn't attend the school yet. But, Amu being dense, Nagihiko is able to cover it up by saying Nadeshiko told him. (Really, Amu. It should be obvious...) After, Amu reflects on the past and her memories and Yaya is saddened by the fact that when they all leave for middle school, she will be the only guardian left. Later, the little Suzuki tries to confess to Amu with a letter, but is lost by amu's charm and Amu is called away by Rima. Then, the chara speak about graduating and ask if Amu is afraid of change, just as she had said before. But Amu explains, maturely, that she's not scared, but excited because of the promise she made with Ikuto. To find her true self. Tadase comes and gives Amu a bottle of sand and Amu is once again touched by his kindness. In the morning, amu notices all four eggs have mysteriously disappeared. Dia crawls from under the bed, a little confused asking about Easter's where abouts as Amu thinks she's air headed. (What could that mean???) and then tells Dai says Amu that the three charas no longer exist. Amu begins to cry in grief, just as Dia comes up with an idea. Dia is a navigator to the future, and Amu asks, "Navigator...? Dia...what does that mean...?"

What could the future navigator hold? Will Dia take Amu...to the future? Maybe a married Amu and Ikuto...??? With the charas as her kids?

Chapter 45 comes out October 3rd.

No, the chapter is released and I've heard that there is even a chapter 48.
