Softbank Creative's blog for its GA Bunko imprint has revealed on Tuesday that Manta Aisora's Haiyore! Nyaruko-san "high-tension, chaotic comedy" light novels are being adapted into a Flash anime project called Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani. The story centers around Nyarlathotep, a formless Cthulhu deity who can take on the shape of anyone it wishes, but particularly the shape of a seemingly ordinary silver-haired girl. Mahiro Yasaka is a normal high school student who is chased by aliens one night, until "Nyaruko" saves him.
DLE, the studio behind the Eagle Talon Flash anime series, is producing Haiyoru! Nyaru-Ani. Azuma Tani is not only directing the anime project, but also DLE's Licca-chan to Mahō no Kuni Flash anime. According to a photograph of the anime script in Tuesday's blog entry, Aisora himself wrote the second script draft.
Aisora began his light novel series just this past April, and the third volume is being published this month. Koin (Kanokon) illustrates the light novels.

Nodame Cantabile Side Story Manga to Launch in Japan (Updated)

This year's 20th issue of Kodansha's biweekly Kiss magazine has announced on Saturday that a side story manga series based on Tomoko Ninomiya's Nodame Cantabile manga will launch in the 24th issue. The regular Nodame Cantabile manga series just ended in the same 20th issue on Saturday. The story centers on two music prodigies who find themselves on parallel paths in Japan and later Europe.
The first of two live action Nodame Cantabile Saishū Gakushō (Nodame Cantabile: The Final Movement) films will open in Japan on December 19, and the final television anime series will premiere in January.
Tsunami Umino (Kohkyu, tsunamix) and Yumiko Suzuki will launch their new manga Shokōjo and Fumetsu no Akko-chan, respectively, in the 21st issue of Kiss on October 24.

Fairy Tail Anime's Special Footage Streamed
Adaptation of Hiro Mashima's fantasy manga to debut next Monday

TV Tokyo's official website for the anime adaptation of Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail fantasy adventure manga has posted 88 seconds of special footage on Friday. The original manga follows a teenaged girl named Lucy Heartfilia who aims to join the world's most notorious wizards guild, Fairy Tail. During a daring rescue, Lucy encounters Natsu "Salamander" Dragneel, a quirky Fairy Tail member and a teenaged practitioner of the ancient Dragon Slayer magic. Lucy is eventually welcomed into the Fairy Tail guild as she, Natsu, and other members go on various quests together.
The anime will premiere in Japan next Monday, and Crunchyroll will stream each episode for 30 days to its subscribed Anime Members. The following is the main voice cast:
Natsu: Tetsuya Kakihara
Lucy: Aya Hirano
Happy: Rie Kugimiya
Gray: Yuuichi Nakamura
Erza: Sayaka Ohara
