That's right every1..it's AVRIL LAVIGNE!-a girl who was definitely determined enough to begin a career, and the pure devotion to her songs is what tied her and her supporting fans together! And Avril just being herself was what many fans were looking for. By projecting her voice to the world, she has become an artist who has a great impact on how music is perceived and appreciated!!
And only Avril knows her true feelings, and after five years of being in the spotlight, she feels great! Although she may be a little more sophisticated these days, she is the same Avril by still being peerless and fearless. Currently, she is at a new stage in her life, passing the shadows of a teen. Avril Lavigne is now ready to rock out, have fun, and even dance! =D This has not only changed her life, but it has ultimately changed the lives of many others, including mine!!! (So who cares if she changed from her "old" self? She's the same person isn't she? So those of you who degrade Avril for changing who she once was, need to reconsider what you've said! If you guys are TRUE fans of Avril, then you should just accept her for who she really is, and who she wants to be! =D)
And yes I know I'm a guy but I'm sure that I'm not the ONLY guy who admires Avril and her songs! xD And there r plenty of girls who love her too, so join!
Basically this group was made for ppl to talk to each other about the variety of cool songs that Avril has put out on albums. (She's the #1 singer in Canada just to let u know! xD)
And if u know any Avril fans that are friends of yours, then plz add them too! This will be the biggest fan group showing appreciation to a very talented person!
Here are all the albums that she has put out so far:
Her first album LET GOallowed young people to attain a defiant voice. In addition, it introduced a style of music that everyone could rock out to. The cultural significance of this album was that Avril was telling the world how different she was from the more passive female singers of the time. The songs on the album were not about how much she loved someone, but more about her life experiences. When it was released on June 4, 2002, her album reached number two in the United States and number one in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom! The three hit singles “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” and “I'm With You” propelled her first album into making over 16 million copies world-wide!
Everyone already knew this but compared with skin-exposing teen idols, primarily Brittany Spears, Avril Lavigne was a NEW kind of superstar. She was someone who did not depend on “sexy” videos or suggestive music. Instead, she was being Avril, a modest girl who wore neckties for fun. Suddenly, her necktie look changed the fashion trend for girls all around the world. Then, when Avril Lavigne went from necktie to camouflage, her fans did the exact same thing!
In May 2004, after working with a variety of co-writers and producers, her second album Under My Skin was finally released. In this album, Avril decided to change her voice to sound more mature. Using her powerful and aggressive voice, she made people realize that she was going through a time of development by becoming a better singer, and also by becoming a grown-up teenager. This meant that her second album was not as giddy as the first. However, she was still a teenager and she penned her heart onto her paper in order to relate to what most teenagers (like me)experienced! She entered the U.S, Canadian, and the UK charts at number one thanks to the smash singles “Don't Tell Me” and “My Happy Ending!" And there was NO denying that this album was leaving a cultural mark on the world. Avril knew that the songs fromUnder My Skinwould surly get under YOURS!
In the process of writing her eagerly awaited third album, The Best Damn Thing, she had only one thing in mind: to make it fun. Because of those times when she went touring in 2004 for her second album Under My Skin, Avril realized that her favorite songs to play were the faster, more up-beat style. She wanted to unleash her high-spirited energy on-stage to the crowd! She threw her dark, introspective attitude from the previous album out the window.Avril wanted to start fresh with songs that weren't straight from her diary, and with songs in which she could fully express her joy. These new, joyful songs still came from her heart, and still impacted the way people heard her music!
So on April 17, 2007, her latest and most desired album was released. The reason so many people like this album can be described in two words: it rocks! The gutsy guitar chords, the catchy sing-along choruses, and the rebellious rock and roll attitude all captured the audience in their own special way. One good example of this is Avril's biggest hit, "Girlfriend". This song used these attributes the most as it combined the hip-hop beat with strong power chords and hand claps. But then Avril changed things up a bit when she sang an emotional ballad called "When You're Gone." It was dedicated to her husband, Deryck Whibley, and it became the album's second single. Her third single was "Hot" and it was similar to “Girlfriend,” with the sense of rocking out and bringing back the bratty punk/pop attitude of her first album. Once this attitude came back, her influence on music became even more profound! So there's no doubt that this bursting energy would come to life at concerts in which Avril is planning on performing at this whole year!
And yes, FYI, these are from MY OWN WORDS...not copied and pasted from wikipedia or anywhere else (although I did use some references for factual information). So I really hope that you guys will enjoy this group and continue to listen to Avril's irresistible songs! =)

Know the song "Breakaway" of Kelly Clarkson? Avril Lavigne help the first American Idol champion to write the song. Yes you heard it right!! Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson were the ones who wrote the great song "Breakaway". According to my information, Avril co-wrote the song with Kelly. In no apparent reason Kelly was the one who performed the song but still Avril was a part of it.
I chose the video in Card Captor Sakura because there is no original video found in here so this is it. Feel the essence of the song and imagined how Avril helped this new popular singer.
