CLAMP is the all-female Japanese mangaka artists.
CLAMP began in the year 1989 (2 years before i was born!) as a twelve-member group. By 1990 the group was reduced to 7 and now there are 4 currently remaining in the group
Current Members are:
Ageha Ohkawa - leader and script writer of the group. She sometimes bargain with their editors and sometimes write the plot of the anime version of the manga
Mokona Apapa - she's the main artist of most stories and in charge of the design. She is also the namesake of the character Mokona.
Tsubaki Nekoi - she is Mokona's assistant and sometimes the main artist of some of their works.
Satsuki Igarashi - she assists Mokona and Nekoi.
Here a fun FAQ about CLAMP, according to them the name CLAMP mean pile of potatoes, while this explanation is made-up, a storage clamp is really used for temporary storage of root crops ^^.
