"Butterfly"

Stars are like dreams
enrapturing my essence as they gleam
o’er the mask of my slumber
Velvet hanging over, wings clasped up under.

I chose to fly
towards the blink of sun’s eye
Flickering colour, quietly amid glades
chase the clouds that sigh away.

The bird who sings
so sweetly as opening petals ring
the dawn of light, spreading flight’s freedom
I can hear the trees whisper their wisdom.

I carry the wind ‘neath tranquillity
It carries me, in harmony
with the voice that speaks none of din
One wing beats within nature, one of soul within.

Looping shimmers of wing breaths
flash a spirit I harbour, I caress
Through the web of time you will see
my power, my substance, you will see.

Ethereal souls are drifting out
as though gentle arms are embracing the air...

Stars are like dreams

Undisturbed.
