Sakura Avalon-
At the start of the series, Sakura is ten years old and living in a fictional town called Tomoeda in Japan.One day in early April, shortly after her birthday and only slightly into her fourth grade year at Tomoeda Elementary School, young Sakura stumbles across a mysterious old book called The Clow in her father’s study.Instantly upon touching the book, a confused Sakura mistakenly awakens one of the card’s guardians, Cerberus who was sleeping on the front cover where he was supposed to be guarding the Clow Cards,a deck of 19 (52 in the anime) magical cards with incredible powers.Upon emerging from the book, Cerberus admits to having let the cards slip away as he slumbered, and, realizing Sakura’s magical potential, cunningly tricks her into becoming the "Cardcaptor" and duty bound to collect all of the missing cards and return them to the book where they will then be under her control.What is not revealed until much later is that Cerberus, by appointing Sakura this position, was marking her as his one and only chosen candidate to become the next master of the Clow Cards and their guardians.


Syaoran Li-
Syaoran is a distant relative of Clow Reed, the creator of the Clow Cards. As a member of the Li clan of sorcerers from Hong Kong, of which Clow's mother was a member, Syaoran believes that he should be the one to inherit the Clow Cards, not Sakura Kinomoto. He first appears as an antagonist in the story, capturing a few cards for himself in the anime (though none in the manga). As the series progresses, and especially after Sakura is officially deemed the new master of the Cards, Syaoran drops his rivalistic attitude towards her and becomes her ally and friend, eventually falling in love with her and blushing at practically every sight of her. However, Sakura is completely oblivious to these feelings and thinks of him simply as a close friend.
Syaoran is shown, or at least implied, to be an excellent martial artist, swordsman, and sorcerer. His magical abilities are centered around elemental spells using his sword or a collection of ofuda.
Before his relationship with Sakura, Syaoran found himself attracted to Yukito Tsukishiro, often blushing madly and abruptly running away at the sight of him. While Sakura also harboured a crush on Yukito, Syaoran would compete with her for his affections, usually by getting him a better present, making him better food, or giving the better compliment. As he shows no interest in Sakura in the first season, the impression is given that he and Sakura are rivals, for the cards and for love. It is discovered later that Syaoran was actually magically attracted to the magical energies of the moon which were residing within Yukito as Syaoran drew his magical power from the moon. Sakura, although she was drawn to a person that housed "power", was truly in love with Yukito.
A major change to Syaoran's character in Cardcaptors involves elevating Li Showron to become the male lead character, rather than a supporting character for Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura. Here, Li is also referred to as a Cardcaptor, while he has no such title in the original series, as Cerberus never selected him, as well as having no initial ability to seal cards for himself.


Toya Kinomoto-
Toya is the brother of Sakura Kinomoto. His birthday is on February 29th.His blood type is O. He holds the belief that as Sakura's older brother, he is the only person entitled to make fun of her, a belief that his best friend Yukito Tsukishiro refers to as a "sister complex." However, he is also protective and caring of her, which leads him to dislike Syaoran Li when he finds Syaoran cornering Sakura in the schoolyard. Though Syaoran and Sakura eventually stop fighting, Toya continues to dislike Syaoran when he becomes friends with Sakura, knowing that Syaoran will eventually take Sakura away from him. He is a perceptive young man and has had a vague idea as to what Sakura has been up to as a Cardcaptor, despite Sakura's attempts to keep it a secret.
He is often working, and a running gag in the series involves Sakura and Yukito running into him while he's at work, which can happen virtually anywhere, we later discover that the reason for his many jobs is so he can pay for college on his own. It is also implied that the reason for him bumping into Sakura all the time was not just mere coincidence but may sometimes have been deliberate on his part (he was following her in case she needed protection from any danger; one very notable instance of this occurs in 'Sakura's Dizzy Fever Day'.In the first few episodes of the anime, a running gag was Sakura purposely stepping on his foot when he mocks her. Later on in the series when this gag is attempted again, Toya often moves his foot out of the way, causing Sakura to feel the effects of the impact instead.
Toya was born with some magical ability, allowing him to see ghosts (including the one of his late mother). His magical ability is also what helps him sense when Sakura is in danger or when she is doing other "magical" things (which enables him to follow her). This ability, however is what led to Sakura's fear of Ghosts.


Fujitaka Kinomoto-
Fujitaka is the father of Sakura Kinomoto (Sakura Avalon in Cardcaptors) and Toya Kinomoto (Tori Avalon). He is a very busy college professor of archaeology at Towa University who still finds time for his children. He is very kind and caring, and he loves his family deeply, especially his late wife, Nadeshiko (Natasha).Toya stated that Fujitaka was very athletic, a possible reason why both Sakura and Toya are good at sports.
One of the major differences between his characterization in the manga and the anime is that in the manga, he is explicitly stated as half of the reincarnation of Clow Reed's soul, however holding no magical abilities himself. In the anime, this connection is erased altogether and never mentioned, as he is shown as one of the people affected by Eriol Hiiragizawa's (Eli Moon) sleep spell at the end of the series (the spell is not supposed to affect those with strong magical ability). In the manga, as he is half of Clow's reincarnation, he is unaffected by his spell and even shows up after Sakura manages to transform The Light and The Dark, passing Eriol's last trial. Fujitaka receives half of Eriol's magic as part of Eriol's final task of reducing his magical ability, leaving Sakura the strongest magician alive. With the infusion of magic, Fujitaka is able to see Nadeshiko's spirit and be reunited with her once again.
Fujitaka is mostly disliked by Sonomi Daidōji (Samantha), who strongly believes that he stole Nadeshiko from her in high school. At the time, Sonomi and Nadeshiko were high school students, and Fujitaka was starting his first year as a teacher there. One day, Nadeshiko had climbed a tree to tend to some birds in their nest, but she accidentally fell. Luckily, Fujitaka broke her fall, and after seeing Nadeshiko on top of him, he commented, "It appears that an angel has fallen from the sky." This sparked the relationship that would lead to their marrying when Nadeshiko is sixteen. In Episode 11, Sonomi recounts in a rant about how they would arrive at school together with matching packed lunches, husband and wife.


Tomoyo Daidōji-Tomoyo is the best friend of the series heroine, Sakura Kinomoto (Sakura Avalon in the dubbed Cardcaptors). When she discovers that Sakura has become the Cardcaptor, she becomes Sakura's primary assistant by designing "battle costumes" ,and filming all of her magical (and non-magical) endeavours.Tomoyo faithfully keeps Sakura's new identity secret and often covers for her in times of need.
In the early releases of the manga, one of the artists was not aware that Tomoyo had feelings for Sakura. As a result, some scenes in the beginning chapters show Tomoyo with a slight crush on Sakura's brother Toya. Clamp soon clarified the story with each other, however, and Tomoyo is subsequently seen showing more attention towards Sakura.
Tomoyo is the daughter of the president of Daidōji Toy Company, Sonomi Daidōji. Sonomi and Sakura's mother Nadeshiko Kinomoto are first cousins, which makes Sakura, Toya and Tomoyo second cousins. she has access to prototype technology from her mother's company (including the cell phones she supplies to Sakura and her circle).
Tomoyo is very mature for her age. One of her major character traits is her selflessness towards Sakura. Tomoyo is kind, caring, highly intelligent, beautiful, meticulous, and very melodic.When needed, Tomoyo can exhibit considerable cunning and resourcefulness, which was most prominently displayed in the final movie (much of which revolved around a complicated scheme she had devised to give Sakura as many opportunities as possible to confess her feelings to Syaoran).


Eriol Hiiragizawa-Eriol transfers to Tomoeda Elementary from England soon after Sakura Kinomoto becuase she defeats Yue in the "Last Judgment" and becomes Master of the Clow Cards. He rapidly befriends Sakura, a feat which persuades Syaoran Li to postpone his return to Hong Kong (Eriol's behavior made him jealous). He also befriends Takashi Yamazaki and becomes his partner-in-crime when it comes to telling lies; he and Yamazaki respond to each other's cues perfectly and can together enforce the false validity of their story by both appearing to have detailed knowledge of the subject.
At the same time, a series of magical disasters force Sakura to gradually convert the Clow Cards into "Sakura Cards," which draw from her own magical energy rather than the dwindling amount of magic left in them by Clow.
What Sakura does not know (until the series' end) is that Eriol himself creates these situations. During each battle or event, he is seen from afar just observing the action, often accompanied by his guardians, Spinel Sun and Ruby Moon. All three of them live in a house that was formerly occupied by Clow Reed himself.
Eventually Eriol confronts Sakura and reveals himself to be the reincarnation of Clow Reed, creator of the Cards. He challenges Sakura to defeat him by converting the final Cards, The Light and The Dark, which would prevent Tomoeda from being permanently plunged into darkness. With his guardians occupying the attention of Sakura's own guardians, Yue and Cerberus, Eriol uses his magic to hamper Sakura. But eventually she manages to convert Light and Dark.After being defeated, Eriol puts Sakura through one more task: to divide his powers in half for him, giving the other to Clow Reed's other reincarnation (as Clow split his soul in two when he died), who is revealed to be Sakura's father. This at last give Eriol the one thing he has wanted his entire life: to no longer be the most powerful sorcerer in the world, with his powers divided, this instead passes to Sakura. No longer able to keep people away from the battle site using magic, Eriol invites everyone to his home where he explains that his challenges were to give Sakura a reason to have to change the cards into Sakura Cards, which made it easier and safer for her to transform them then it would have been without a good reason.Afterwards, Eriol, Kaho, Spinel Sun, and Ruby Moon return to England together. In the anime this entire scene takes place the day after the battle, when Sakura and company head over to Eriol's house upon hearing in school that he would be returning to England.
Eriol and company appear again in the second movie, calling Sakura from England and warning her about the new Clow Card, The Nothing. However his phone call is cut short before he could finish his explanation and warning.
Eriol and Kaho are romantically involved in the series. During the series, after Eriol appears, hints are dropped to a special woman in his life. Towards the end of the series, that person is revealed to be Kaho.


Meiling Li-Meiling is Syaoran Li's cousin and fiancée in the anime. She does not appear at all in the manga, suggesting that her character was created in the anime for filler purposes or to make the anime more dynamic.She also balances the main cast by being more tomboyish and outspoken about her emotions than the other characters.
Meiling comes at the end of Episode 19 "Sakura and the Summer Holiday Homework". Her self-proclaimed engagement to Syaoran is something she values and protects highly. Her first impression of Sakura Kinomoto is anything but positive, as she sees Sakura wearing a shirt that she had given to her beloved Syaoran. Meiling accompanies Syaoran in his then-rivalry against Sakura, though she often does so more at school than when capturing Clow Cards.
She has no magical abilities but believes that her physical talents will compensate. Carrying such pride, Meiling vows to help Syaoran capture the Clow Cards using her martial arts skills. However, much to Syaoran's displeasure, she tends to get in the way of his card capturing more often than she helps.
Meiling is not always a bother in battle, for when Sakura is too dazed to seal The Cloud, Meiling takes hold of her arms and guides her motion for the sealing of the Clow Card. She is immensely helpful during the capture of The Twin in Episode 43. Weakening the card required a synchronous attack from two people, and Meiling was the perfect resource: Sakura and Syaoran fail to adequately sync their attacks, but Meiling and Syaoran had memorized several martial arts forms together in the past. They perform them, smiling at one another, to defeat the card. She then returns to Hong Kong at her mother's request.
It is in this same episode that Meiling's true fighting skill is shown. She trains heavily in martial arts upon her return to Hong Kong--magic is out of reach for her--to aide herself and others. When Eriol enchants the stone mini-penguins at Penguin Park, Meiling fights her way through each and every one of them, proving to be physically stronger than even Syaoran's God of Lightning scrolls which only detained the mini-penguins for a few seconds, and even cracks several, sending them flying towards Syaoran. She also comes up with the idea to use The Freeze to immobilize the penguins.
In the second movie, Meiling becomes Tomoyo's ally in a scheme to give Sakura the opportunity to confess her unrevealed feelings to Syaoran. She is unaware of the events surrounding the release of the sealed card, The Nothing.


Yukito Tsukishiro-From the moment Yukito is introduced, it is clear that Sakura has an enormous crush on him. She continually marvels that he can be friends with her "barbaric brother." Everyone involved, including Yukito himself, believes that his meeting Toya in junior high school three years ago had been coincidence.
He lives in an elaborate house with his grandparents (the house is real, but the grandparents do not exist). In fact, it is unclear whether or not Yukito himself existed at all before his meeting with Toya and introduction to Sakura.
Yukito is peripherally involved in many of Sakura's adventures as the Cardcaptor, mainly because of Sakura's crush on him and his close proximity to the Kinomoto family. In the process, Yukito becomes the object of another juvenile crush; this one held by Syaoran Li.
In thr english Cardcaptors, all overt references to Yukito's homosexual relationship with Toya were removed, and Syaoran's 'crush' on him was played down. Sakura's crush was still present however.
Not until the last Clow Card is collected does Yukito's true form, Yue, emerge and challenge Sakura's right to the cards.
Unfortunately, the strain on Yue's energies becomes so great that even Yukito's massive consumption of food can no longer support it. Yukito begins to fall ill, becoming drowsy, falling asleep at the slightest opportunity, and eventually beginning to fade away altogether. The only thing that can save him is a massive infusion of magical energy, which Yue finally receives from Toya.
Soon afterwards, Yukito listens to and very gently declines Sakura's confession. He has always been aware of Sakura's feelings but tells her that he believes they are more platonic (as Yukito resembles Sakura's father) than romantic. Sakura immediately realizes that "the one Yukito likes best" is in fact Toya.After Yukito rejects Sakura the two of them seem to adopt a brother-sister type of relationship.
In the manga, Yukito is last seen in the Kinomoto kitchen with Toya, helping to prepare breakfast. There's a similar scene in the anime series, where they're preparing lunch. This somewhat implies that Toya has come to fully understand Yukito's feelings for him and reciprocates them.


Nadeshiko Kinomoto-Nadeshiko is the mother of Sakura Kinomoto and Toya Kinomoto. Her husband is Fujitaka Kinomoto. Nadeshiko appears only in memory and in spirit (literally) in the series, as she died (at the age of 27) when Sakura was three years old. However, she is remembered frequently, and her family continues to love and respect her. Fujitaka keeps her memory alive by keeping a picture of her on the kitchen table and changing the picture every day. Sakura makes an effort to greet it every morning.
Nadeshiko's ghost is a type of presence in the series. When Toya was younger, he could see Nadeshiko quite often, but as he got older, she showed up less often. Sakura has never been able to see ghosts (although she has been able to feel them) and so she never sees Nadeshiko throughout the entire series.
Nadeshiko makes her first visible appearance in Episode 6, "Sakura and Memories of Her Mother." At the end of the episode Sakura presents Nadeshiko's picture a gift, unaware that Nadeshiko's ghost is hovering over her at the time. Nadeshiko comments to Toya, who is watching from a distance, that she had been a little worried and came down to see how Sakura was. After ensuring that Sakura is okay, Nadeshiko leaves.
Nadeshiko makes an additional appearance at the end of Episode 39 when Sakura is recovering from a fever. While Sakura is half-asleep, Nadeshiko appears as a ghost and places her hand atop Sakura's forehead, appearing to lower her temperature closer to normal. Toya is in the room at the time and witnesses this; Sakura says that it feels like her mother was with her, but she does not actually see her while Toya does.
One of Toya's memories of his mother is when she taught him how to play the organ at home. In Episode 54, when Toya plays on the piano at school, he remembers sitting next to Nadeshiko on the family organ, watching her play and following her example.
In high school, Nadeshiko was a student of Fujitaka Kinomoto during his first year as a teacher and also had a job as a model. She married Fujitaka when she was sixteen, much to the displeasure of her various relatives, especially her cousin Sonomi Daidōji and grandfather/caretaker Masaaki. Fujitaka mentions that he had Nadeshiko for eleven years, from where her death at twenty-seven is concluded. Since Sakura was three, and Toya is seven years older, Nadeshiko presumably gave birth to Toya at seventeen.
The manga hints that Nadeshiko may have had some magic, as Fujitaka tells Touya that his magic abilities are the same as his mother's. And at the end of the manga, when Fujitaka receives half of Eriol Hiiragizawa's powers since they're both incarnations of Clow Reed, he gains the ability to see Nadeshiko's spirit.

Kaho Mizuki-Kaho first appears in the series as a mysterious substitute teacher at Tomoeda Elementary School, where she teaches math to the class that includes Sakura Kinomoto and Syaoran Li. The two students have opposite reactions to her: Sakura takes an instant liking while Syaoran responds with coldness and worry. When Sakura, Syaoran, Meiling, and Tomoyo Daidōji go to Tsukimine Shrine and are trapped by The Maze, they are rescued by Kaho, who is the daughter of the priest. She also possesses an artifact called the Moon Bell, which can affect Clow Cards. At the same time, it is revealed that not only did Sakura's older brother Toya know Kaho, but also that they had an intimate relationship while she was his junior high school teacher. Toya reveals that Kaho had broken up with him so she could go to England to study; she also told him that, in their next meeting, they'd be in love with other persons, their own relationship sealed as a deep friendship.
In the Final Judgement it is revealed the Kaho's Moon Bell was created by Clow Reed, and left in the care of the Tsukimine shrine to be given to Sakura to help her to defeat Yue without having to injure him.The bell combines with Sakura's staff to create a new staff of Sakura's own power.This is changed in the anime version of the series, however, where Kaho uses the Moon Bell to give the seemingly defeated Sakura a second chance, enabling her to win the Final Judgment and become the new master of the Clow Cards. After this, the Moon Bell disappears. After fulfilling her duty and delivering Clow Reed's bell to Sakura, Kaho returns to England, after enigmatically telling Yukito to "take care of" Toya.
Throughout most of the Sakura Card, Kaho maintains a steady but guarded exchange of letters with Sakura that are full of enigmatic but helpful advice. When she finally reappears, to everyone's surprise, it is at the home of Eriol Hiiragizawa to help arrange for his return to England.As the two depart, In the manga, Kaho remarks how kind Eriol is, but he explains he's grown to care more about one person than anyone else. Kaho asks if he already knew she loved him and he did and says "if your feelings are the same as mine, we'll have a happy ending.". She is last seen holding hands with Eriol discussing their future together.


Sonomi Daidōji-Sonomi Daidōji Amamiya is the mother of Tomoyo Daidouji and the first cousin of Nadeshiko Kinomoto. She is also the president of Daidōji Toys Co., a large toy corporation, and owns a large estate as a result of her wealth.She is also fairly athletic, once going to the national championships in track and field in high school, according to Tomoyo.
Sonomi adores Sakura Kinomoto much like Tomoyo does, treating her as her own daughter. The main reason is that Sakura is the daughter of Nadeshiko, whom she had protected and loved since kindergarten. She initially blames this death on Fujitaka Kinomoto, who was Sonomi's and Nadeshiko's teacher in high school. In his first year as a teacher.
Sonomi tells Fujitaka that she loved Nadeshiko, more than just as a cousin. Fujitaka understands that Nadeshiko loved Sonomi, too, and apologizes that he was the one who got to spend time with her between her sixteenth and twenty-seventh birthdays. Sonomi quickly responds that such is the reason she dislikes him so much.
Sonomi will always remain a rival to Fujitaka, as she has never won against him in any contest. Despite her recent acceptance of Nadeshiko marrying Fujitaka, she still wants to prove herself the better person. The only time Sonomi has won against Fujitaka is in the second movie during the Nadeshiko Festival. When Sakura is almost ready to perform, Fujitaka readies a simple disposable camera for pictures. Sonomi, however, has her bodyguards situated at different angles from the stage, all equipped with the latest video cameras. She claims confidently that she would get the better footage.
It is notable that Sonomi adored Nadeshiko very much the same way Tomoyo does Sakura - however, whereas Tomoyo selflessly keeps her feelings for Sakura hidden, Sonomi was a rather bitter and jealous person when it came to getting Nadeshiko's attention. Tomoyo tells Sakura that the reason her Mother wants Tomoyo's hair to grow long is so it resembles Nadeshiko's. Episode 62 and the ending of the second movie, however, appears to hint of a growing affection for Fujitaka that she has hidden in her dislike for the man.


Kero-
Kero is the guardian of the seal (seal of the book of clow cards),He is also the guardian that finds the candidates.(to battle Yue and become the master of the clow cards)
He lovews to eat sweets and has a strange personality, he has lost his memorys of the past a lil becuase of Clow Reed and Eriol but gains them back at the end of the anime.
He draws his powers from the Sun.


Yue-
Yue is the judgment gurdian he cares about Clow Reed very much and finds Sakura being the knew master of the Clow cards hard to belive.He later on exeptes Sakura being his master and cares about her derley as well.He also has the powers of the moon.


Spinel Sun-
Spinel Sun is one of Eriol Hiiragizawa's guardians, designed to be Keroberos's counterpart. While Keroberos tends to be active and energetic and spends the days playing videogames, Spinel is calm and refined, spending much of his time reading. You could say that they are polar opposites, personalities that are the exact opposite of the other. This makes them a good duo, since their opposite powers complement each other. Although they tend to argue alot, their bond is that of bloodbrothers
He goes crazy whenever he eats sweets.


Ruby Moon-
Ruby Moon is one of the mystical guardians created by sorcerer Eriol Hiiragizawa as his counterpart to Yue. When Eriol transfers to Tomoeda Elementary, Ruby Moon takes on the disguise of Nakuru Akizuki and enrolls at Seijou High School in the same class as Toya Kinomoto and Yukito Tsukishiro .Once there, she becomes a general nuisance, continually barging in on and "glomp" Toya and sending Yukito away on errands, often with enigmatic statements.
Nakuru is well aware that Yue's magical energy is rapidly running out and that Toya could renew it. She plans to take that energy for herself, which would render Toya powerless and result in Yue's destruction. However, her efforts in that direction prove fruitless and Toya eventually hands over his power to Yue. Nakuru then gives up on her pursuit of Toya and returns to focus on helping Eriol as his guardian.
In the final confrontation with Sakura Kinomoto (Sakura Avalon) in Episode 69, Ruby Moon fights Yue in her true form. Although they fight evenly for most of the battle, Yue eventually proves to be more determined. After Yue and Cerberus successfully rush past Ruby Moon and Spinel Sun, Ruby Moon declares that she and Spinel are stronger in terms of power. Spinel responds in favor of Yue and Cerberus, saying "it must be the power of the heart that believes in their owner."

When to Watch the First Movie
Nobody really knows when to watch the first movies but this might help its around were she first meets Meline and you can sorta tell that she doesn't know that Yuki is Yue and shes still looking for the clow cards lol
I heard that its between the seconde season and the first season so maybe after ep 35 or after ep 36 at the latest hope this helps.
