I know that I haven't updated in a while but working full-time and doing an externship kinda makes it hard to get online a lot. But I'll have a break soon so hopefully I can do more updates. I was going to do an update now but I forgot my japanese book at school so I can't translate the info from her website. I'm still new to learning japanese. But anyhow I'll try again tomorrow.

I really can't wait to hear them especially the one with verbal. I love M-flo and it's been quite a while since they've come out with something new. Even if it's only verbal something is better than nothing.

I have good news and I have bad news. The good news is that someone did upload Crystal Kay's Color Change Tour, however the bad news is that that it was uploaded to usenet which is a pay site. I'm debating if it's worth twenty bucks, with the money I just spent on Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I feel like one of those cartoon characters that when they pull out their pockets dust comes out. Anyway if I do down load it then I'll re-encode it and post it here, because the file itself is 13GB.
November 10,2008
I know it has been a while since I updated, but real life has been getting the way. Anyway, Crystal kay's rock themed song
"Hold On" (Which is all english) will be featured in Steven King's new movie called
"Dolan’s Cadillac". The movie wil be released next year and is about: Tom Robinson (Wes Bentley) is a peaceful, law-abiding schoolteacher until his wife Elizabeth (Emmanuelle Vaugier) accidentally witnesses a murder. Jimmy Dolan (Christian Slater), Las Vegas¹ most ruthless and untouchable mob boss, never leaves behind a witness. Haunted by the ghost of his wife, Robinson transforms himself into an obsessed vengeance machine, pushing himself beyond the breaking point of mind, body and spirit. When the two men finally meet deep in the heart of the desert, Dolan's Cadillac climaxes with an amazing test of wills the ultimate duel. The Cadillac, which has been Dolan's armor, may just as easily become his tomb. Also this year Crystal graduated from
Sophia Univeristy, she wore a traditional Japanese Hakama (pictures from her blog will be posted later) She was a social studies major taking sociology and anthropology courses. Also her album entitled "Color Change" reflects her graduation this year too. Just announced today,Crystal will have her last tour performance aired live on
WOWOW on
November 26 at 7:30pm. Since I have Comcast "Crappy" Cable (They took away most of the asian networks in my area) I won't be able to see it. But hopefully there will be some kind hearted person that will record and upload the concert.

CK's new album is out there's 2 all english tracks and 3 old one's (namida no saki ni, One, Shining) and rest are hot new tracks. My favorite has to be It's a crime (I've already listened to it about 50 times on my ipod.) I love the whole CD and can listen to all the tracks. That's why she's my fav j-pop artist because even though the CD's are expensive it's worth it because I can listen to every track.

Crystal Kay was born to an African American father (a bassist from New Jersey) and a third-generation Zainichi (person of Korean descent born in Japan) mother who was a professional singer. Growing up with musicians as parents influenced Crystal to launch a musical career of her own, which she accomplished with her debut at age 13. Prior to this, she provided voiceover work for a television commercial at the age of six.
Crystal Kay was born and raised in Japan but she attended Kinnick High School when her father was stationed in Yokosuka. She now attends Sophia University, which is the same college Beni Arashiro currently attends; the two are reported to be good friends. She is fluent in both English and Japanese, and she has also studied French.
After the well-promoted collaboration with m-flo in 2003 and a #2 album, she became known to the public. She scored her first top 10 hit with "Motherland," which was used as the ending theme for the anime Fullmetal Alchemist in 2004.
Her best-selling single in her career so far is 2005's "Koi ni Ochitara" (If I Fall in Love) which was used in the drama Koi ni Ochitara: Boku no Seikō no Himitsu and peaked at #2 on the weekly charts, and became the 30th best selling single of 2005 with an estimated 288,629 sold. In 2006 Crystal released "Kirakuni;" her second single with a lead song that is sung in full English, the first being "Shadows of Desire". Soon after that Crystal Kay released a new album called Call me Miss... that peaked at #2 on the Weekly Oricon Album Charts.
Crystal started 2007 with a new single called "Kitto Eien ni" (Surely Forever). The single was released on January 17, 2007 and will be used as the theme song for the 2007 live-action movie of Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru ( I love my younger sister). Crystal's next single was "Konna ni Chikaku de..." (So Close...) which was released February 28, 2007, and is the ending theme to the anime Nodame Cantabile. On March 24, 2007, Crystal Kay was featured in m-flo's latest video "Love Don't Cry" for the last installment of the "m-flo loves" series. It is said that m-flo started this project with Crystal Kay and wanted to end it with her. They previously collaborated with each other in the "REEEWIND!" and "I LIKE IT" singles. Crystal then released a single called "Anata no Soba" de which was released May 16, 2007; this is her first single with only one track and is described as a love anthem with an R&B essence. Her seventh and most recent album, "ALL YOURS", which was released on June 20, 2007 premiered at #1 on the Oricon daily charts with 6,011 copies sold and continued to stay at #1 through the week. ALL YOURS is her first #1 album in her entire eight year career. As of July 23, 2007, ALL YOURS has sold approx. 121,000 copies.
On November 2007 she released a new Christmas mini-album called Shining.
