Identify: The most recognizable thing about Eeteuk is his cute DIMPLE. Plus, nobody can beat Eeteuk when it comes to GLASSES. Many tend to say that he looks better when wearing glasses. And as the leader of SJ, he tends to talk more than the others. I do think that he ranks second in cuteness from SJ.
Facts: Eeteuk is the leader of Super Junior. That's why you see him talking most of the time in shows to represent Super Junior. He got LASIK, but wears unprescribed glasses just for fashion. He also has a problem with his waist, which prohibits him from doing risky sports [such as bungee jumping] or other hazardous actions.
In early 2000, Park Jung-su was scouted by a talent agent in Myeongdong. He was asked to audition for the Starlight Casting System 2000, which soon signed him into SM Entertainment that same year. Park made an extremely brief cameo appearance in the MBC Korean drama All About Eve in 2000 and was also a model for Pepsi. He was then put into a five-member boy band along with his future Super Junior bandmate, Lee Dong Hae by his talent agency before this idea was dropped. Some of the names for this group were OK, Pricor and Smile. After he was put in Super Junior, Park wanted a stage name similar to Kangta and thus chose the name Leeteuk. Teuk, which means "special."
On November 6, 2005, Leeteuk as a part of Super Junior officially debuted on SBS's Popular Songs performing the group's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." Being the oldest of the group, Leeteuk was chosen to be the leader of Super Junior, leading and guiding the group in media interviews and schedules. Since the debut of Super Junior, Leeteuk has been a regular MC for M.NET's M!Countdown along with Super Junior members Kang In and Shin Dong. However, since late 2006, Eun Hyuk replaced Kang Ins position. Along with Eun Hyuk, Leeteuk is also the DJ for KBS's Super Junior Kiss the Radio since August 21, 2006. Starting December 2007, Leeteuk became the host of his own show, Leeteuk's Love Fighter, a variety show of Leeteuk helping to solve troubled couples' problems.
In early 2007, SM Entertainment placed Leeteuk in a new six-piece subgroup of Super Junior, Super Junior T. Different from Super Junior's usual urban music style, the group specializes in singing modernized versions of trot, an old style of Korean pop music. On February 25, 2007, Super Junior-T debuted on Popular Songs with their title song, "Rogguguh". Super Junior-T released their first single, "Rogguguh" on February 23, 2007, ultimately selling 45,998 units by the end of the year, ranked as the sixteenth best-selling album of the year.
Leeteuk became seriously injured in a car accident at the morning of April 19, 2007 when returning home after a recording of Super Junior Kiss the Radio. Along with Leeteuk, fellow members Shin Dong, Eun Hyuk, Jo Kyu Hyun, and two managers also became victims. Although Shin Dong and Eun Hyuk suffered minor injuries, Leeteuk and Jo Kyu Hyun sustained more serious injuries, which required for the two be kept in the hospital for several more months. Leeteuk had glass shards embedded into his back and above his eyes and had a successful surgery of 170 stitches in removing most of them. Leeteuk was discharged out of the hospital on April 30, 2007. However, Leeteuk may still need further surgeries to remove or minimize the scars. Due to Leeteuk's fast recovery, he was in time to do a last-minute performance in Super Junior's debut film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys (2007), playing the panda, who was originally played by Kim Ryeo Wook.

Pre-debut years
Kim was born in Gangwon-do, South Korea to a bourgeois family. He has one older sister, Kim Heejin.
He joined under the management of SM Entertainment after he auditioned in the Starlight Casting System in 2002 when he was in Seoul. Along with Hero Jaejoong, U-know Yunho, and future bandmate Kang-in, their talent agency placed them in a small project music group called Four Seasons, with each of the four members representing the four seasons of the year. The prospective group never saw the light when the two members, Hero Jaejoong and U-know Yunho, were chosen to join another all-male singing group TVXQ, which debuted in December of 2003.
Music career
2005–present: Super Junior
Further information: Super Junior
With two members gone, the idea of Four Seasons dropped. The remaining two members of Four Seasons, Kim and Kang-in, were then placed in another project group, Super Junior, along with ten other trainees under the same company. This project group managed through well, and debuted two years later in 2005 under the name Super Junior 05, the first generation of Super Junior.
On November 6, 2005, Heechul finally debuted with the other eleven members in Super Junior 05 on SBS's music program Popular Songs, performing the first single "TWINS (Knock Out)." The group released their full studio album a month later, and the album debuted as #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts.[2] As the group's second single, "Miracle", came to an end, his talent agency was about to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation, Super Junior 06, with Heechul still as an undergraduate member of Super Junior. However, plans changed when the company added in a thirteenth member, Kyuhyun, and the company declared that future Super Junior generations were rumors. The group dropped the suffix "05" and became officially Super Junior. The new group hit big after they released their first CD single "U" the following summer in 2006, which became Super Junior's most successful single in the music charts, leading Super Junior to set #1 records in their music career since then.
In early 2007, Kim was placed in Super Junior's second sub-unit, Super Junior-T, a six-piece trot-singing subgroup. The group debuted on February 25, 2007 on Popular Songs with their title song, "Rokuko". Super Junior-T released their first single, "Rokkugo" on February 23, 2007, ultimately selling 45,998 units by the end of the year, ranked as the sixteenth best-selling album of the year and he first best-selling single of the year.[3] Super Junior-T ended subgroup activities in the end of the year and in September, Super Junior as a whole released their second official album, Don't Don, which became the second best-selling album of the year.[4]
Kim has made many contributions to Super Junior's lyrics. His first production, along with bandmates Shindong and Eunhyuk, was the rap lyrics to "Show Me Your Love," a joint single of Super Junior with TVXQ.[5].
Television and acting career
2005–present: Teen idol
Like bandmate Kim Kibum, Kim made his first television appearance as an actor and not as a member of Super Junior. He starred in the 2005 teen drama, Sharp 2, which he acted alongside Kim Kibum. Soon afterwards Heechul became a popular television actor and made frequent appearances such as filming for commercials and hosting programs on television.
HeeChul furthered his acting career after Super Junior's debut, having a lead role in MBC's youth sitcom Rainbow Romance with Kim Kibum. He made his primetime debut in the SBS drama Bad Family. Before his music debut, Heechul started his hosting career by being a regular MC for KM Show! Music Tank. Soon after the debut of Super Junior he switched to hosting SBS's Popular Songs. He has also been a DJ of his own radio show, SBS Power FM Youngstreet along with Park Heebon, but the program ended in mid-2006. Aside from acting, singing, and hosting, Kim also became an active participant in variety shows, making frequent appearances on Heroine 6, Vitamin, Sponge, X-man and Love Letter.
2008: Xanadu
From September 9 to November 9, 2008,HeeChul, along with bandmate Kang-in, will debut as musical actors through the musical, Xanadu. Xanadu was a 1980's musical film starring Gene Kelly and Olivia Newton John. Xanadu has also been reproduced to a Broadway musical. Kim and Kang-in will be performing the same character, Sonny, according to their time slot, and auditions and casting picks will be chosen in a process through reality television.[6]
Notable events
Car accident
HeeChul suffered a major injury from a car accident that occurred on the night of August 10, 2006, when he was heading back to Seoul from Mokpo, where he went to attend fellow Super Junior member Donghae's father's funeral. The tires malfunctioned while his car attempted to switch lanes. From this accident, he fractured four to five places on his left leg including his femur, knee, and ankle which required a 6-hour surgery and sustained several other injuries including a tear to his tongue which required stitches. He was advised to stop all activities for a period of twelve weeks.[7] He was released from the hospital on September 13, 2006 and received outpatient care. He returned to the hospital to have a second surgery to remove some of the iron rods in his leg on October 10, 2006. He returned to work briefly in late October to film the final three episodes of the MBC youth sitcom Rainbow Romance while still in a cast and in a wheelchair. It wasn't until late December when Heechul officially returned to individual activities such as variety show appearances and hosting appearances. In February 2007 he was able to perform on stage as a member of Super Junior-T. He started performing with Super Junior as a whole (whose dance routines are more strenuous than those of Super Junior-T) in late April and early May. Five rods remain in his legs, which required yet another surgery later on.
Identify: The first thing I noticed about Heechul was his eyes. He has HUGE eyes and is incredibly skinny. At first his appearance reminded me of a vulture. But he's really funny, likes to crack jokes. (^__^;;) But most of all, I believe he's the member that appears most on TV shows. [HeeChul was actually the first SJ member I knew.]
Facts: He comes from the countryside of Korea. But the first thing you'll notice is his facial appearance [which will be talked about in Identify], and then the fact that his blood type is AB, which explains his "weirdness". He tends to show that he's impatient, but his sharp personality makes him a great guest for TV shows. Some people might call him "egotistical" because of how he calls himself pretty (^-^), but then again HeeChul wouldn't be HeeChul without it.

Although originally auditioned to be an actor, he was placed under many all-male project music groups, including the group Four Seasons, a four-member boy band that was to include Kim Heechul, Hero Jaejoong, and U-Know Yunho. However, both U-Know Yunho and Hero Jaejoong soon debuted as members of TVXQ in 2003, ending the Four Seasons project.

After the Four Seasons project ended, Kim and Kim Heechul were then placed in another project group, the large all-male performance rotational group, Super Junior 05, as part of the first generation members in Super Junior. Kim therefore decided to use the stage name Kang-in, which can be loosely translated to "strong but kind person," to show his strength as an entertainer and performer. On November 6, 2005, Kang-in as a member of Super Junior 05 officially debuted on SBS's Popular Songs, performing Super Junior's first single "TWINS (Knock Out)". The group released their first studio album a month later and it debuted as #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts.[2] As the group's second single, "Miracle", came to an end, his talent agency was about to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation, Super Junior 06, with Kang-in still as an undergraduate member of Super Junior. Their first mini album, Cooking? Cooking! was released on June 5, 2008.
Television career
Five days after Kang-In's debut performance, Kang-in became the MC of M.NET's M!Countdown along with Leeteuk and Shindong. The three members stayed as the hosts throughout the remaining year until Kang-in was replaced by Eunhyuk in mid 2006 due to his busy schedule for hosting MBC's Good Friend Radio and Show! Music Core. Kang-in also became the host in two of MBC's popular entertainment programs, Sunday Sunday Night Dong-An Club and Nothing is Impossible. Along with the rest of Super Junior, he has been the host of Explorers of the Human Body, a Sunday night variety show which premiered on November 11, 2007. To solve questions about the human body, the group performs experiments with their own bodies to answer the questions.
Although active in both singing and hosting, he continuously makes guest appearances in variety shows, such as Star Golden Bell and KBS's Girls Talk. Being active in television, Kang-in was estimated to be the member that earns the highest salary in Super Junior.[5]
Other works
DJ career
He was a former DJ for Reckless Radio, but has since been replaced by Sungmin and Sunny of Girls' Generation. He is currently an active DJ for MBC's Good Friend Radio with Cho Jungrin, who was later replaced by Taeyeon in April 2008.[1]
Film career
Due to Choi Siwon's busy schedule with Super Junior's new subgroup, Super Junior-M, Choi's original role in the upcoming Korean language film, "Sun Jung Man Hwa" was given to Kang-in instead. Acting alongside Yoo Jitae, Lee Yeonhee, and Chae Jung An, Kang-in will depict a high school student falling in love with a woman much older than himself.[6] This will be Kang-in's second silver-screen
appearance, after Super Junior's debut film, Attack on the Pin-Up Boys in summer 2007.
Musical: Xanadu
From September 9 to November 9, 2008, Kang-in, along with bandmate Kim Heechul, will debut as musical actors through the musical, Xanadu. Heechul and Kang-in, along with Choi Sungwon, will be performing the same character, Sonny, according to their time slot, and auditions and casting picks will be chosen in a process through reality television.[7]
MBC controversy
A time-slot dispute occurred between SM Entertainment and MBC when SM insisted to have Kang-In stay on SBS's Explorers of the Human Body instead of MBC's Sunday Sunday Night Dong-An Club where Kang-in was a regular host. MBC decided to temporarily ban Super Junior from appearing in any future performances on MBC.[8] Kang-in was replaced by T.O.P of Big Bang as the MC of Show! Music Core.[9] Kang-in can also no longer host MBC variety shows Nothing is Impossible and Sunday Sunday Night Dong-An Club until the conflict is resolved.[9] MBC also demanded to receive an apology from SM Entertainment if SM artists should continue to perform on shows hosted by the channel. After Kang-in left Nothing is Impossible and Sunday Sunday Night Dong-An Club, both shows cancelled due to low ratings. Kang-in's radio program with MBC, Good Friend Radio continues to air since it is not related to his work conflict.[8] A week later, MBC announced that they invited Super Junior to film an exclusive MBC segment, "Giving Children a New Life" despite their previous decision to ban Super Junior. The entertainment director for MBC claimed that the ban on Super Junior was never official, but just a decision made by the programs' producers.

The group released their first studio album a month later and it debuted as #3 on the monthly MIAK K-pop album charts.[2] As the group's second promotional single, "Miracle", came to an end, his talent agency was about to recruit new members for the next Super Junior generation, Super Junior 06, with Sungmin still as an undergraduate member of Super Junior.
In early 2007, SM Entertainment placed Sungmin in a new six-piece subgroup of Super Junior, Super Junior-T. Different from Super Junior's usual urban music style, the group specializes in singing modernized versions of trot, an old style of Korean pop music. On February 25, 2007, Super Junior-T debuted on Popular Songs with their title song, "Rokuko". Their first mini album, Cooking? Cooking! was released on June 5, 2008.

Kibum soon signed a contract with SM Entertainment and became their official trainee, being trained in areas of singing, acting, dancing, and other performing talents such as hosting and modeling. He placed particularly strong efforts in acting, as he explained that he is most interested in that area. Although he resided in Seoul at the time, he constantly returned to Los Angeles to visit his family and to attend short school sessions.

Cho Kyuhyun's singing talents were discovered after he won third place at the Chin Chin Singing Competition in 2005. He soon signed under SM Entertainment and was featured in the video remake of TVXQ's single "Hi Ya Ya" along with other Chin Chin idols.
Before Kyuhyun's addition to Super Junior, the original twelve members were said to be separating and "graduating" as the band was still presented as a project group at the time, the concept being very similar to Japan's popular girl group, Morning Musume. Although Kyuhyun's addition to the group initially brought in an unpleasant surprise and disatisfaction within the group's fans who supported the original twelve members, his addition ended Super Junior's life as a project group and began its life as a permanent group.[1][2] Kyuhyun was quickly accepted and acknowledged by the fans as the thirteenth member of Super Junior.
