1) From now on we will have teams in the group...Free for anyone to join.
In each teams, there can only be 11 people that can join:
1 QuarterBack, 1 Tight End, 2 RunningBacks, 2 Wide Receivers, 2 LineBackers, 1 CornerBack, 1 Kicker and 1 Safety.
This will be a First Come First Serve Basis.


NOTE: To all of the Quarterbacks on each teams, For you guys to recruit new members in your own team you should post your own forums saying like "Join Deimon Devil Bats" or "Deimon recruiting new members" you know,, those things like that...you can say anything you like to recruit members on each positions.

3) We will now have a "Character Of The Month".
So this is how its goin` to work:
Every month, everyone gets to vote one character they like the best among 4 nominated characters.
There shall be this forum "Nomination" and the first 4 characters will be nominated by the first 4 persons who posts at this forum.

When the 4 characters are nominated, I will start a poll on which does everybody likes the best among the 4 characters.
Then everyone must vote of course.

The deadline of the polls are goin` to be the very 21st of the month.
When the 21st day comes, the results are gonna be posted on the profile along with a big picture of the character.

NOTE: A character is not allowed to win twice in a row.
For example:
In the month of January, Hiruma Youchi won as Character Of the Month, therefore when the next nomination for the month of February starts, Hiruma Youchi is no longer allowed to be nominated.
But when the Character Of the Month in the month of February has already been won then the next nomination for the month of March shall start.
By only then, Hiruma Youchi is allowed to be nominated again.

In the anime series Eyeshield 21 they have a short clip of the American Football Clinic half way towards the episode. The clinic is simliar to a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) for American Football. Each episode has its own different question and answer.

There will now be a forum called "AmeFuto Clinic" .
Inside here you will find one question that is being posted weekly.

Every week there will be a new question.
Everbody can answer this question.
Besides of answering, people can also put a description or details about their answer.
For Example:
Question: How many players are on 1 American Football Team?
Answer: There are 11 players on an American football team.
You can change players as many times as you want, so you may switch offensive and defensive players in and out.

The sentence that is underlined is the details about the answer.

The people who has the best answers and the best details will win as "Smartest Football Players Of The Week"(Winner of AmeFuto Clinic.)
And their names shall be posted on the profile.

STORY
The plot of Eyeshield 21 revolves around a physically unassuming and non-assertive boy named Sena Kobayakawa (小早川 瀬那, Kobayakawa Sena?) who enters the high school of his choice, Deimon Private Senior High School (泥門高等学校, Deimon Kōtōgakkō?), where his childhood friend Mamori Anezaki (姉崎 まもり, Anezaki Mamori?), one year older than Sena, already attends. His only remarkable physical abilities are his running speed, dodging techniques, and intense agility (perfect for football), the result of a school life spent complying with the demands of bullies (later on it is revealed that he went through training with a classmate in elementary school for running), quickly catch the eye of the high school's American football team captain Yoichi Hiruma (蛭魔 妖一, Hiruma Yōichi?) who then forces Sena to join the team (Deimon Devil Bats) as the running back.

To protect his identity (on the premise that other school sports teams will try to recruit Sena upon discovering his athletic skill) Sena is forced to publicly assume the role of team secretary, and enter the field wearing a helmet equipped with a green-tinted eyeshield in order to hide his features under the pseudonym of "Eyeshield 21." The makeshift team initially takes part in the Spring football tournament (at the beginning of the Japanese school year) hoping to win with through the strength of their new "secret weapon." But the extremely weak team is eliminated early on by the Ojo White Knights, a powerhouse football team. Others see the skill of the current White Knights as having declined from the previous "Golden Generation" but the team members are trying to prove that they have the ability to surpass their predecessors. It is in this game that Sena meets the man he will acknowledge as his ultimate rival, Seijuro Shin, a talented linebacker.

After Deimon's defeat, the Spring tournament is revealed as a secondary in importance to the Fall tournament, where the teams compete for the chance to play in the "Christmas Bowl", the high school football league championship. Hiruma, Kurita and Sena regroup and slowly build a real team from other misfits and students looking to define themselves; like Raimon Tarou, a baseball player who can only catch, the three Ha-Ha brothers; punks; and many others with the goal of reaching the championship. The series follows the building and growth of the Deimon Devil Bats and its members, as well as various rival teams encountered through their games and tournaments, as they all strive to achieve their goal of playing in the Christmas Bowl.

Deimon Devil Bats
Logo: Red Devil Bat, a nonexistent breed that bears a striking resemblance to Yoichi Hiruma.
The protagonist team of the manga and anime series, this team represents the Deimon High School. At first, there were only three members in the Deimon American Football Club. However, after its inaugural year, there were only two members (Yoichi Hiruma and Ryokan Kurita) after Gen "Musashi" Takekura left. This remained so until Hiruma found Sena Kobayakawa and his amazing running ability. Their team's chant is "Kill 'em! YA-HA!"(in mangaブッ殺す! YA-HA!! Bukkorosu! YA-HA!!/in anime ブッつぶす!YA-HA!!Buttsubusu! YA-HA

The demon of Deimon High, Hiruma Youichi, was one to be feared by all. He has a book that contains all the information about someone since they were a young. With the book, Youichi is able to blackmail people with embarrassing moments about them. This evil book was used to recruit people for the team in the beginning of the series. Other than being the demon of Deimon High, Youchi is the founder, captain, and quarterback of the Deimon High Devil bats American Football team. He trains the team according to his knowledge of American Football and decides on what to do, you could say he's the brains of the entire operation.

Kobayakawa Sena

The errand boy that always ran as a child, Kobayakawa Sena, acknowledged his true skills when he joined the American Football team. Because of all the running Sena did from making errands when he was younger, he develop his lightning speed legs. These golden legs were spotted by the captain of the Devil bats, which led to Sena being forced to join the team. But to prevent other teams from fighting for Sena's legs, he was required to hide his face. To do this, Sena wore a helmet with an eyeshield and a jersey with the number 21. This lead to the codename "Eyeshield 21."

Raimon Tarou

Birthday: 8/31
Year: 1st / Gr. 10

Raimon Tarou has a dream of becoming a catching hero like Honjou Masaru, the catching expert of the Shuei Bears. Ever since when Tarou was given a baseball glove by Honjou, Tarou always wanted to be just like him. But when the Deimon baseball team had only signed Tarou up for the third team, which was below the second team, he was starting to doubt himself. The third team was said to be reserves for reserves, players that weren't even considered as baseball team members. The baseball team was looking for players with general abilities in offense and defense, Tarou was only skilled at catching, but his batting and throwing was pretty much pathetic. Tarou was asked to join the American Football team by Sena but he declined the offer. After when Tarou realized that he was unable to follow his current dream, he decided that he should join the American Football team and become a catching hero. Since American Football was better to have players who were good at just one thing, Raimon Tarou was perfect for it

Kurita Ryoukan

Birthday: 7/7
Year: 2nd / Gr. 11

Kurita Ryoukan, you could say he’s the gentle giant of the Devil bats. Although Ryoukan is the strongest linemen and a giant, he is actually friendly and polite. Whenever Sena would feel down, Ryoukan would be there to help cheer him up. During a game, Ryoukan would utter the sound "Funnuraba," this is a special grunt that he makes when he blocks his opponents. The grunt has no particular meaning in Japanese. In the beginning, it was just Ryoukan and Youichi in the American Football club, that was only until Sena had showed up. Both Kurita Ryoukan and Anezaki Mamori have something in common, they love their sweets.

Juumonji Kazuki

Birthday: 10/1

Juumonji Kazuki is the head of the Ha Ha Kyoudai, which consists of Kuroki Kouji, Toganou Shouzou, and himself. Kazuki was first introduced to us as bullies of Sena's high school life. On Sena's first day, he was already forced by the Ha Ha Kyoudai to buy them bread. He had failed his errand because the bread at the shop was all sold out, which led to Sena being chased by them. This chase was also what led to Youichi spotting Sena's fast legs. Although in the beginning, Kazuki and the Ha Ha Kyoudai were just bullies, they ended up joining the Devil bats as defensive linemen. He is referred to as one of the Huh-Huh Brothers by Hiruma although not really related.

Kuroki Kouji

Birthday: 9/2
Year: 1st / Gr. 10

Another member of the Ha Ha Kyoudai is Kuroki Kouji. There's not much to say about Kouji, just that he has brown hair that grows up to this shoulders. Later in the series, Kouji joins the Devil bats as defensive linemen. He is also referred to as one of the Huh-Huh Brothers by Hiruma although not really related.

Toganou Shouzou

Birthday: 10/13
Year: 1st / Gr. 10

Toganou Shouzou is another member of the Ha Ha Kyoudai, and is quite the wackiest one out of the three in my opinion. He has yellow hair similar to Goku from Dragon Ball Z, but with less spikes, and has orange circular goggles which give him an even more weirder look. There's not much information about Shouzou, but he also joins the Devil bats as defensive linemen later on in the series. Concluding the so called Huh-Huh Brothers is Shouzou.

Komusubi Daikichi

Birthday: 1/1
Year: 1st / Gr. 10

Daikichi wants to become Kurita's apprentice. It is assumed that all the viewers are powerful and therefore need no words to understand that of Daikichi.

Ishimaru Tetsuo

In the beginning of the series, the Deimon Devil bats were recruiting players for their first game. From the track team, Ishimaru Tetsuo was asked to play, but he was unable to attend due to his part-time job delivering the town's magazines. But Sena was willing to do anything to get Tetsuo to play, and because of this, Sena ended up helping Tetsuo distributing half of the town's magazines. Thanks to Sena's hard work, Tetsuo was able to play in the first game. And after that, Tetsuo just sort of kept on playing with the team in each of the football games.

Yukimitsu Manabu

Manabu has been attending cram school since the first grade. His parents had forbid him to be in any sort of extra-curricular activity. One day, when he saw the game between the Devil Bats and the Zokugaku, he felt a burning desire in his heart to join the team. Although he is short and weak, when he saw Eyeshield 21 who was alike, was willing to stand up to all sorts of difficulties without being afraid, Manabu wanted to be just like him.

Taki Natsuhiko

Birthday: 4/10
Year: 1st / Gr. 10

Taki is Deimon's Tight End. He always makes weird poses and thinks of him as an all-around super football player. He went to America to play American football and tried out for a NFL team. That's where Sena met him the first time. After failing the try out, Sena offered him to play for the Deimon Devil Bats back in Japan. Taki has a lot of potential and talent but his dumbness is always in his way. He finished the Death March with the team and became a high school student at Deimon High. Now he was finally able to play football. He is a great addition to the team and very useful. His sister Suzuna is always with him.

Gen "Musashi" Takekura

Birthday: 4/2
Year: 2nd / Gr.11

Position: Kicker/Linebacker

Bench Press: 90 kg

The place kicker for the Devil Bats and one of the original three members of the team, along with Hiruma and Kurita. He is often mistaken for an older person, since he initially has a bit of stubble and has a buzz-cut. When he finally joins the team, he grows out his hair and shaves. He leaves the team during the spring season of his freshman year, due to the fact that his father had become seriously ill. As a result, he was forced to drop out of school and take over as the construction foreman of Deimon High. Though he desperately wants to get back into playing, he refused to rejoin the Devil Bats. However, after meeting with Sena and Monta and seeing how determined they are to get him back on the team, he agrees, but only if they become a strong team. In the manga, he makes his comeback during the game against Seibu, when his father hit him for abandoning his team. In the anime, he does not rejoin the team until the game with the Bando Spiders. He has a running rivalry with the kicker of the Spiders, Kōtarō Sasaki, who according to Hiruma, has NEVER missed.

Ever since Sena was a little kid, there was a person who protected him like a little brother, that person is Anezaki Mamori. It is not clear on how Mamori and Sena came to be, but Mamori was always there to protect Sena. Even in high school, she was still sticking up for him. When Sena joined the American Football Club, Mamori feared that it would be too dangerous for him. Knowing that Youichi was in charge of the club, gave Mamori an even greater will to protect Sena. But in order for her to be there by Sena's side, Mamori would have to join the club herself. This led to the new manager of the Devil bats

Cheerleader
Taki Suzuna

Position: Cheerleading Captain
Year: 1st / Gr.10

Suzuna is a cute blue-haired girl who's always wearing rollerblades. She came to the United States and hitched a ride with one of the bikers of a bike gang. Sena first met her after he got lost halfway through the Death March and was surrounded by a whole lot of American bikers - Sena being Sena, he couldn't really communicate with them. However, one biker mentioned the words 'Japanese girl', 'Football player', and 'Japan', and Sena assumed said biker was talking about Mamori, and immediately went off in search of the aforementioned Japanese girl. The 'Japanese girl' term was actually referring to Suzuna, and 'Football player' Natsuhiko, her brother. Suzuna was looking for her brother, and in that same respect, met up with the 'Football player' assuming that it was Natsuhiko. The bikers then assumed they were boyfriend and girlfriend (cheering them on with "C'mon, hug! Kiss! Hug!", but the fact was that Suzuna and Sena were not in a relationship). She eventually finds her brother and beats the living daylights out of him for taking the family savings to fly to America. She also witnesses Sena in action as Eyeshield 21.

Equipments


Here's a short description of each piece of equipment worn by Sena:

Neck Roll: This piece is used to protect the neck from Extreme impact and also prevents hyperextension.

Shoulder Pads: These are not only used for protection but it also helps to power through tackles and make it harder to be tackled.

Gloves: The primary use of these is for gripping the ball although it makes it a little more difficult to throw the ball.

Hip Pads: These are especially important because the brunt impact of the tackle is taken in the hips most of the time.

Thigh Pads: These also take a lot of impact on a tackle so these too are very important protection.

Knee Pads: These protect your knees when you hit the ground in any way and it is very important because a serious knee injury can end your career.

Cleats: These are very important to Sena especially because they dig into the ground and give you more traction and it makes your cuts a lot more effective.


Pass Routes


These are the pass routes Monta and Yukimitsu run. They learned all of them during the Death March. They can also be interesting for everyone who wants to be a real Wide Receiver.

Everybody who loves Eyeshield 21 should love these two guys, because they are the creators/artists who developed the idea of the manga and anime Eyeshield 21.

Inagaki Riichiro
Inagaki Riichiro was born in June 20, 1976 in Tokyo, Japan. He won the 7th "Story King" section in Weekly Shonen Jump No.51 2001. His previous works are "Any number of times on the 13th of June", "Square Freeze" and "LOVE LOVE Santa" which were published in Big Comic Spirits.

Murata Yusuke
Murata Yusuke, born in the 4th of July, 1978 in Miyagi-ken, Japan. He was once the assistant and apprentice of Obata Takeshi of Hikari no Go and Death Note fame. He had a number of one-shots published in Weekly Shonen Jump namely Partner (won the 122th Hop*Step award), Samui Hanashi (won the 2nd Prize in the 51th Akatsuka Awards), Kaitou COLT and of course, Eyeshield 21 which was then serialized starting in Weekly Shonen Jump No. 34 2002. He is also responsible for designing Dust Man from Rockman 4 (Megaman 4) and Crystal Man from Rockman 5 (Megaman 5).
