Granado Espada won the 2006 Korean awards for Best Graphics and Game of the Year, and has many new features previously unseen in an MMORPG such as the ability for players to control multiple characters at the same time. Granado Espada also has a very different art style based on the Baroque period of Europe, a unique distinction from the standard “swords and sorcery” fantasy themes of the genre.
Granado Espada distinguishes itself from many modern-day MMORPGs with a Multiple Character Control, or MCC, system. Rather than playing one character at a time, or using multiple clients, players may control a party of up to three characters at a time, making gameplay similar to a real-time strategy game. Up to three characters can be selected to be part of a team within the "Quarters" at the barracks. Any member of the party can be selected to be part of a team, regardless of differences in levels or classes.

Fighters typically serve as the front line of attack for any party. They are able to take an excessive amount of damage due to their high HP and heavy armor proficiency. The most versatile class, fighters can learn stances to increase their attack or defense, and are even able to wield pistols by the middle game.

Musketeers are a powerful ranged class able to deal extensive damage to grounded or flying enemies. Musketeers have the most powerful single attack in the game, but can be expensive to support as they need a large supply of bullets for long quests. Through stances they can carry rifles or pistols.

Wizards are a magical class able to use both offensive and defensive magic. Developing their stances can build them as buff specialists or powerful manipulators of physics. At higher levels the Wizard can use the "levitate" ability, making them immune to attack from grounded enemies.

Elementalists are purely offensive magic users. The Elementalist pulls their magic from powerful Bracelets of Fire, Ice and Lightning. At higher levels, the Elementalist can use two Bracelets at once, synergizing multiple elements for extremely powerful attacks. Elementalists need heavy protection due to their low defense and slow running speed.
MCC (Multi-Character Control)
Control a group of three characters simultaneously as you adventure through the world. No more hours spent begging for a healer.
XAI (Xtreme Artificial Intelligence)

Versatile Stance System
Upgradeable stances give each character a wide range of skills and fighting styles to develop.
Multi-Leveling
Stances and base level advance independently, creating a strategic challenge.
Gorgeous Scenery
Incredible visuals from Hakkyu Kim’s IMC team have already won the Best Graphics technological Award from Korea’s prestigious 2006 Korea Game Award. Cities and scenery are modeled after true to life European period architecture.

Interactive Trading
Active players can trade with NPC vendors or other active players, while AFK players can sell their goods through a personal shop.
Kingdoms of the old world
Vespanola: The current high power in Orpesia. Vespanola controls the seas and the new continent. Effectively imposes a total blockade of Brestia. The upper class social structure is severely divided between wartime Nobles and the more traditional upper class.
Illier: A home to great artists, and also once a great military power. The country is a source of trends and famous for their fashion, food, and swords. It houses the most famous sword smith of all time. Illier has been a major military player in nearly every Orpesian conflict due to its central position on the continent.
Targa: A warlike people, the Targans are renowned for their skill in making firearms. Geographically, Targa blocks the rest of Orpesia's access to resource-rich Katai. Traditionally Targans do not like Orpesians. They see Orpesians as weak.
Oporuto: This country is no longer an independent state. Its territories and holdings were annexed by Vespanola during the "Marriage of the Two Countries." Oporuto is the homeland of Granado Espada's discoverer, Ferrucio Espada. The country overspent developing the new continent, and the following bankruptcy led to the Vespanolan acquisition. A traditionally poor country before the marriage, Oporutans are typically not used to having a great economy among the masses, but, like most Orpesian countries, maintain a rich upper class.
Brestia: The traditional #2 power in Orpesia. Brestia launched a surprise attack against Vespanola after the Marriage of the Two Countries. The attack resulted in the Three-Year War, and Brestia's ultimate defeat at the Baleares Naval Battle. Following the war Brestians faced a culling of high government and military officials from the Vespanolan government. Brestia was effectively cut off by the Vespanolan Navy, and its citizens currently live in a state of oppression and near starvation. Brestians have no love for Vespanola, and find themselves horribly oppressed in Vespanolan controlled zones.
Katai: A resource-rich country east of Orpesia.
Absinia: A country south of Orpesia, known for its magical warriors. Absinians tend to be extremely proud of their country and their magical military heritage. They are warlike, confident and proud.
