Princess Ai (Collaboration)

Courtney Love approached Tokyopop with her idea for a story about a girl in search of her place in the world. She included some personal sketches of what the character might look like. Then Tokyopop arranged a meeting between Love and Ai Yazawa, and that´s how she made the characters design.


Ai who was torn from her homeland, and awakens in present-day Tokyo remembering nothing of her life except her own name, the only clue she has to her identity is a heart-shaped box. Ai makes her living as a rock star at Club Cupid.
