was a one-shot Hello! Project unit formed in 2003.

Its formation was announced in September 2005, and their first single, which was released on October 19 2005, reached Number 1 in the Oricon weekly rankings. Originally expected to be a short-term group and have only one release; and announced as a "Special unit for 2005".

W (also known as Double U or Double You) debuted on January 3, 2004 at a Hello! Project 2004 Winter concert. But was disbanded since Kago's contract was terminated.

Was Morning Musume's first official subgroup to be formed in Hello! Project.
Formed in November of 1998 with Morning Musume members Ishiguro Aya, Iida Kaori, and Yaguchi Mari. Tanpopo is the Japanese word for "dandelion" and the group was meant to have a softer, more mature feel.
