Inu-Yasha's Plot or Synopsis!
Anime and Manga
The story begins in Feudal Japan with InuYasha, a half-demon (hanyo) stealing the Jewel of Four Souls, a jewel that can increase anyone's powers enormously, from a village. He does not get far before Kikyo, the young miko of the village, shoots InuYasha with a sacred arrow which seals him indefinitely to Goshinboku, a sacred tree in the nearby forest. Mortally wounded, Kikyo tells her younger sister, Kaede, to burn the jewel with her body to prevent it from falling into the hands of evil.
In modern Tokyo, a junior high-school girl named Kagome Higurashi is on her way to school. She stops in the well house of her family's Shinto shrine to retrieve her cat, Buyo, when a centipede demon emerges from the well and pulls her into the Sengoku period of Japan.
Not knowing where she is, Kagome wanders around a forest near the well. She spots Goshinboku off in the distance and proceeds towards it. When she reaches the tree, she finds InuYasha, who is still sealed with an arrow to the tree in an enchanted sleep. Villagers seize her and take her to the old priestess, Kaede. Recognizing that Kagome is the re-incarnation of her sister Kikyo, Kaede tells the story of Kikyo and InuYasha.
The centipede attacks again, and Kagome is forced to release InuYasha from his enchantment to kill it. After he defeats the centipede, InuYasha tries to take the Jewel of Four Souls from Kagome. To prevent that and save Kagome's life, Kaede casts magical prayer beads around InuYasha's neck so that Kagome can subdue him.
The jewel attracts more demons, and in a battle against a carrion crow demon, the jewel is shattered into numerous shards spread across Japan.
Kagome and InuYasha set out to collect the shards and restore the Jewel of Four Souls. Along the way they befriend Shippo, a fox demon, Miroku, a cursed monk, and Sango, a demon-slayer whose brother was possessed and forced to slaughter the rest of their village. The group encounters many friends and foes during the adventure including: InuYasha's older half-brother Sesshomaru, Kikyo who was resurrected with part of Kagome's soul, Naraku who tricked Kikyo and InuYasha into turning against each other, and a wolf demon named Koga who is in love with Kagome and constantly bickers with InuYasha.
The Characters!Informations
Inu-Yasha
A half-youkai, he was killed by Kikyou (well more like he was quieted) only to be awakened by Kagome 50 years later. Controlled by the magical rosary around his neck, Inuyasha helps Kagome search for the pieces of the Shikon no Tama. He's a rather gruff, verbal person who appears to be indifferent to the people he travels with. But as the story unfolds it seems that there's more to this youkai than it would seem.
Kagome Higurashi
A teenage girl from modern day Tokyo. She fell into an old well at her home and found herself transported to ancient Japan. There she discovers that she is the reincarnation of the priestess Kikyou and carries the Shikon no Tama. Unfortunatly there was a little accident and it kinda broke. So she travels between her two worlds with Inuyasha and others gathering the pieces before they fall into evil hands. She's a typical teenager who worries about doing well in school. She's naturally kind-hearted, if not a little short-fused.
Miroku
A Buddist priest (Houshi), and often considered a pervert, Miroku's addition to the team did not please Inuyasha at all. Pleased to be around any pretty girl, he is famous for introducing himself to them and then asking them to have his baby. Apart from this, he can be serious and intellegent. On his right hand is an Air Rip of sorts. Literally a hole in his palm that sucks in everything around. Kinda like a Black Hole.
Sango
ango is a professional Youkai Extreminator. Her whole family (all except her brother) and the people in her village was killed by Naraku, she joined the Inuyasha team to kill Naraku and avenge for her family and village neighbors.
Shippou
Shippou is a young fox demon. His father was killed by the Thunder Brothers. In order to get revenge, Shippo tried to steal shikon stone shards from Kagome and Inuyasha, but since he's relatively weak, he got caught easily. Ever after, he's been traveling with the Inuyasha team, to defeat Naraku.
Kirara
Kirara is Sango's pet youkai. She can transform from a smaller size, to a larger one. She teams up with the Inu Yasha group in episode twenty-four.
Kouga
The leader of a wolf demon gang. Since Kagura killed most of his gang in their first fight, he swore to kill Kagura. Kouga has Shikon stones embeded in his legs and can run faster than the speed of wind. Kouga and Inuyasha are rivals for Kagome. Kouga's gang members all respects Kagome and refers to her as the "gang lady - Kouga's girlfriend".
Sesshomarou

Sesshomaru is InuYasha's older brother, half brother to be exact. Unlike InuYasha he is a full demon and very powerful. At first He is so much stronger than InuYasha that it would have been easy for him to kill his younger brother but soon later on InuYasha is closer to his level.
Kikyo
As a priestess she guarded her village in ancient Japan from evil. She was the holder of the powerful jewel, Shikon no Tama. But she became fatally wounded in a battle. Yet before she died, she shot Inuyasha with an enchanted arrow, effectivly 'killing' him. After she died, the Shikon no Tama was cremated with her body.
Izayo
The reason Inuyasha is half-youkai (half-demon) is because his mother is a human.
Kohaku
Kohaku is Sango's younger brother, he was later obducted and used by Naraku against the Inuyasha team.
Kaede
Lady Kaede or Maiden Kaede is Kikyo's younger sister. After Kikyo died, Kaede took over the temple maiden duty. Later, in order to control the wild Inuyasha, she set a spell on him, so every time Kagome says "SIT!", Inuyasha falls.
Souta Higurashi
outa is Kagome's younger brother, who first witnessed her descent into Bone-Eater's Well. He's a bit timid, well, maybe cowardly comes closer to the mark; he loves the family cat, Buyo, very much, and idolises Inu-Yasha, despite Kagome's less-than-flattering description of him.
