Born in Fukuyama-shi, Hiroshima-ken, Jun grew up in Takatsuki-shi, Osaka-ken.
At the first Seiyū Awards, held in 2007, he won the award for Best Main Actor for his leading role as Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion and had also been nominated in the category for Best Male Rookie.
Jun is proficient in kendo and judo. His nicknames are Jun, Juntsu and Junjun Junie
He is a member of Production Baobab.
