Mar 31, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 DLC Details for North America and Europe

TECMO KOEI have announced their plans for Downloadable Content (DLC) for North America and Europe. A costume pack from the previous installment (DW6) and a Japanese voice option will be available as free DLC on both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Downloadable stages and weapons will also be available for a price sometime soon. Dynasty Warriors 7 is available in stores now in North America. The game comes out in Europe on April 08, 2011.

Feb 02, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 - Lian Shi and More Characters Revealed

A new character in Dynasty Warriors 7 (Shin Sangokumusou 6), has been revealed in this week's Famitsu. She is Sun Quan's most beloved concubine, Lian Shi, or more famously known as 歩夫人 Lady Bu. She was known for being courteous and never jealous. Other characters featured in the scans are Sun Quan, Lu Bu, Pang Tong (still uploading), and Wei Yan (still uploading).

Jan 27, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 Downloadable Content (DLC) Revealed

Details about the first downloadable content (DLC) pack for Dynasty Warriors 7 has been revealed. The 1st DLC pack will contain all of the costumes from Dynasty Warriors 6 and will be available for free. People who buy first run copies (buying on release day) of Dynasty Warriors 7 in Japan will receive a code to download Zhao Yun's Dynasty Warriors 1 outfit. If you order from GEO you can get Lu Bu's DW1 costume as well. The DLC packs will mainly consist of costumes, weapons, and stages. Some of them will be free and some others will be priced depending on the content.

Jan 12, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 Game Information Updated

Last week, 8 characters were officially revealed: Jia Xu, Yuan Shao, Yue Ying, Zhang Jiao, Dian Wei, Sun Shang Xiang, Taishi Ci, and Zhang Liao.

Brief summary of the latest DW7 details:

* Chronicle Mode will have both Online and Offline (splitscreen) Co-op.

* Jin's storyline will begin after the Battle of Wuzhang Plains ended, when the Sima clan starts holding major authority in Wei. Wu's storyline is said to be focused on an early era rather than a late era.

* Story Mode might be one-player only.

* There will be no "guest" original characters from any non-DW game, so no Ayane or Ryu Hayabusa, or Sun Wukong, Xiang Yu or Da Ji, etc.

* There is no Edit Mode (aka. CAW) and no Opening Edit feature.

* An item-based system will be used for character stat growth rather than the common EXP & Level system.

* Weapons are acquired either by producing them through a blacksmith, or by sometimes beating an enemy officer. You can even immediately equip the weapon you've acquired through battle.

* The swimming feature from Dynasty Warriors 6 will return.

* The Japanese version will have a sung ending song: "Time" by KinKi Kids.

Dynasty Warriors 7 is coming to North America on March 22, 2011 and Europe on March 25, 2011 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. A promotion video will also be released this week.

Jan 01, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 Mini Figurines Set Vol. 1

KOEI has launched volume one of their Dynasty Warriors 7 mini figurines set. There are a total of 12 characters in this set that include Xiahou Dun, Zhen Ji, Lu Xun, Zhou Tai, Zhao Yun, Jiang Wei, Xing Cai, Sima Yi, Sima Shi, Deng Ai, Zhuge Dan, and Zhang Jiao (shown above). The set will be available for purchase in March following the game's release. I've uploaded the pictures to the DW7 album.

Jan 01, 11Dynasty Warriors 7 Coming to North America on March 22, 2011

TECMO KOEI America announced today that Dynasty Warriors 7 will be released in North America for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 22, 2011. The game comes out 3 days later in Europe on March 25, 2011. We have also added the new game logo to our Dynasty Warriors 7 section as well. Stay tuned for more Dynasty Warriors 7 updates!

Dec 16, 10Dynasty Warriors 7 CG Artworks Updated

I have updated our Dynasty Warriors 7 (Shin Sangokumusou 6) CG artworks album with seven new characters. The following characters are: Huang Zhong, Cao Ren, Ding Feng, Zhou Yu, Sun Ce, Zhu Rong, and Meng Huo.
I have also added twenty-six Dynasty Warriors 7 (Shin Sangokumusou 6) screenshots to the DW7 screenshot album.
There was also a picture released of 4 DW7 ball pens, the Wu ball pen displayed a character which might be Sun Shang Xiang.

The game will be released on March 25, 2011 for both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in Europe. No specific date has been given yet for a North American release. The official English site will launch before Christmas. Be sure to check back here for more Dynasty Warriors 7 updates.

Dec 15, 10 Samurai Warriors 3 Z/XL Magazine Scans Updated

New magazine scans for Samurai Warriors 3 Z / Xtreme Legends for the PlayStation 3 and Wii respectively have been added. It mainly describes new storylines for half of the characters who are getting their own storylines: Gracia, Nohime, Ranmaru, Kotaro and Yoshimoto.

In related news, due to the passing of Daisuke Gouri, the seiyuu (Japanese voice actor) for Takeda Shingen had to be changed. Shingen will be now voiced by Ryuzaburo Otomo, who has also voiced Taira no Kiyomori in Warriors Orochi 2.

I also found some Screenshots of gracia on famitsus homepage, I've uploaded them to the SW 3 album.

Dec 15, 10Dynasty Warriors 7 - Ding Feng and Online Co-Op

A new character in the long-awaited game, Dynasty Warriors 7 (Shin Sangokumusou 6), has been revealed in this week's Famitsu. He is a Wu general, 丁奉 Ding Feng. He is one of the renowned Wu generals that lived through the later Three Kingdoms era. He is also noted to have several clashes with Wei troops led by Zhuge Dan.

Other shown returning characters are Zhou Yu, Sun Ce, Cao Ren, Huang Zhong, Meng Huo, and Zhu Rong who was confirmed last week.

More interesting news has also appeared. Apparently the Chronicle Mode will have both Online and Offline (splitscreen) co-op.

Dec 12, 10 Zhu Rong Confirmed For Dynasty Warriors 7

This week's Famitsu has a small teaser on the Chronicle Mode in Dynasty Warriors 7, which may see a worldwide release in March 2011. More detailed information on this mode can be expected next week.

An interesting thing here is that one of the published screenshots has Zhu Rong in it, which confirms her return after being left out in Dynasty Warriors 6.

Dec 12, 10 Samurai Warriors 3 Z/XL Delayed

Samurai Warriors 3 Z (PS3) / Xtreme Legends (Wii) was originally set for a January 27, 2011 release in Japan, but has now been delayed. TECMO KOEI announced today that they will be pushing the title back a month for both consoles to improve on the quality of the game. Samurai Warriors 3 Z / Xtreme Legends will now be released in Japan on February 10, 2011. No details were announced regarding an overseas release.

Nov 24, 10 Samurai Warriors 3 Z/XL Character Information

This week's Famitsu revealed a bit new information on Samurai Warriors 3 Z (PS3) or Xtreme Legends (Wii), mainly on the three new characters' play styles. Gracia still has a special-type moveset using fists and magic, and her growth type is normal.

Aya Gozen's moveset is normal-typed and will have many elemental attacks, and her growth type will be normal as well, while Fukushima Masanori has a charge-type moveset where he uses his big weapon to easily clear crowds, and his growth type will be power-oriented.

Nov 23, 10 Dynasty Warriors 7 Game Information Updated

Although the series is reverting to faction stories for Musou Mode, the player cannot actually choose which character they prefer in this mode and will need to work with who is given.
Some battles will be divided into two halves to provide players different character perspectives.For example, Chang Ban will show Zhao Yun's point of view in the first half and Zhang Fei's in the second.

Nov 18, 10 Dynasty Warriors 7 Game Information Updated

Brief summary of the latest DW7 details:

* There will be more than 60 characters in total (That means between 61-69).

* Jin, Wu, Wei, and Shu will have story modes. The Other force does not have a story mode, but players will be able to use the Other characters in Chronicle Mode.

* Both consoles (PS3 & 360) will support the stereoscopic 3D.

* Weapons have been revealed for several characters. DaQiao's weapon from Multi Raid 2 (Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce 2) will not return.

* Each character will have 2 different kinds of Musou attacks. All characters' first Musou attacks are normally executed on the ground. For the secondary Musou attack, some characters will have either an Alternate Ground Musou or Jump/Aerial Musou.

* For some important large battles, it will be split into two parts, so you can have two character perspectives (ex: Shu's Chang Ban stage, 1st Part: Zhao Yun, 2nd Part: Zhang Fei).

* Morale bar is gone, but the morale system itself still exists and will be reflected from officer messages and such.

* DLC (Downloadable Content) is confirmed to be added.

* Some weapons will have aerial combo.

* There are no current plans for a PSP release.

* Chronicle Mode will feature a specific battle per character and they will either consist of being historical or fictional. Seeming like the Legend Mode levels alike the Xtreme Legend games from the past.
