Eri had said she doesn't like it when people touch her collarbone but it turned out she had mistaken collarbone for "sternum" (chest bone). So it is her sternum she doesn't like touched. [Hello Morning, 2003]

Makoto even heard from Eri herself that on the way home from Hong Kong, Eri just stuffed all her things into her suitcase. When she got home, she just left the trunk standing there unopened for a few months and didn't even sort through the stuff inside and clean it out. Eri took 8 years of classical ballet.

Eri is the worst artist in Morning Musume. However, on Hello Morning July 10, 2006, Eri was revealed to have been a genius artist in her past life.

The Pajama Incident
There were times in the morning where Eri wakes up to she find her pajamas turned inside out. Her mother finally caught her sleepwalking one night from the 2nd floor to 1st floor of their house. She was turning on the lights and changing her pajamas without knowing. The last time they found her sleepwalking was in April 2004.
Eri's Funny Story
I was sleeping. When I woke up my mom phoned me. I wondered, it was 9 o'clock in the morning, I wonder why if she's at home, why would she be phoning me? I didn't answer the first time since I was tired. Then she called me again right away.

I said, "I was asleep. What is it?"
Then I asked, "You're in the house, aren't you?"
She told me, "No I'm not at home. I'm out shopping."
"Oh, I see. So what do you want?"
"You called me right?"
I said, "No, I didn't." I had been asleep.
So, she just said, "Oh, okay." and hung up.
She must've wondered if I needed anything, so she called me. I knew I hadn't called her. So, I was sure of it. Then she called me one more time. This time, when I picked up the phone, she said...
"You did call me! It says so in my caller history!"
But I was sure that I hadn't called her. It was her call that had woken me up, so I told her that I couldn't have called her.
"Wait a second. I'll try the redial." So I hit redial. And it said, "MOM"! So, I must've called her while I was asleep.

The "4" Story
Note: The number "4" in Japan (and other Asian countries) is an unlucky number just as the number "13" is an unlucky number elsewhere. The number "4" (shi) sounds like the word "death" (shi).
Yossi: Hey, Eri says she's had an odd experience, so please hear her out.
Eri: I was eating a snack and while I was eating I had this weird feeling and looked at the calories, and it said 444!!! "Oh, my god! I'm gonna die!!" I thought.
Miki: I don't think they sell snacks that kill people these days.
Eri: And then I went to take a bath. I went in at 10:44, and when I came out, it was 11:44. "Oh, my god! I'm gonna die again!!!" I thought. Then I told the story at the salon, and when I finished telling the story I checked out the time, and the hair dresser said it was 4:44. And then I was riding in a car and there was a big clock in it, and when I saw the time, it was 4:44!!!!
Miki: Eh, Kamei-san, are you done yet??
Eri: I still have tons left!
Miki: When's it gonna end?
Yossi: Should I wrap it up for ya?
