SOME INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT HIM : )

On 9 August 2007 at Tokyo's Hibiya Scala-za Theatre, Shingo Katori gave a greeting stage to commemorate the big success of his movie "Saiyuuki". The movie was released on 14 July. Until 8 August, it has earned 2,700,000,000 yen and been watched by 2,350,000 movie goers. Before, Shingo was not completely informed about such data. He said while laughing, "No one told me, so I had to search in various sites on the net to get to know about it." On the same day (9 August), the release of Saiyuuki in Korea was also to be considered.

He is also famous for having a large mouth, as he has the ability to fit his whole fist into his mouth.


Recently, he gained internet popularity as the main character in a Super Sentai parody.


In 2005, Japan Airlines introduced a Boeing 777 jet with Katori's picture on it. Pls check out the picture below : )



In 2005/2006, he starred in the Japanese remake of Saiyūki as Sun Wukong. He appeared as a bellboy in the popular 2006 comedy film The Uchōten Hotel. This movie is available on CR known as "The Wow-Choten Hotel"


On December 26, 2007, it was revealed that Shingo Katori had beaten the fastest time (9s8ms) of drinking 500mL of milk shake in 9s50ms. However, on the show on that day, Toshi from the owarai duo, Taka and Toshi beat his time by .02ms. Shingo's award was taken away and was given to Toshi. Cara: Wonder if having a big mouth helps? Hehe..

The Wow-Choten Hotel

Written and directed by Mitani Koki (Welcome Back Mr. McDonald, Our House, University Of Laughs), this film is a rollercoaster farcical comedy, set in a grand, five star hotel on New Year’s Eve.
