Keitai Sousakan 7 is a 2008 Japanese television drama. It is a joint collaboration between WIZ and Production I.G. directed by Takashi Miike. It airs on TV Tokyo Network Wednesdays at 19:00 JST. It is described as a science fiction tokusatsu action drama.
Plot
Keita Amishima is a highschool freshman who gets involved in ANCHOR, an organization formed to bring criminals using hi-tech for evil to justice. Taking the place of ANCHOR's previous agent, Keita is Buddied Up with to Phone Braver 07, a cellphone robot. Together, the two track down the hi-tech criminals as well as their benfactor, the renegade Phone Braver 01.
Characters
Under ANCHOR
Under ANCHOR is the branch of ANCHOR that carries out the field missions and handles the Phone Bravers.
Keita Amishima: A high school freshman who preferred not to make new friends until he becomes buddies with Seven after meeting his predecessor Takimoto when he was to meet a friend of his at Mt. Fuji, becomes an ANCHOR agent in training. Though he is nervous around the agents and arrogant with his friends and Seven, Keita has a sense of responsibility and the "Kindness" Takimoto sees in him that makes him an ideal ANCHOR agent in time.
Daiki Kirihara: Buddied to Third, Daiki comes off strong and hard on others, especially Keita. Though he hates technology, he joins ANCHOR to be proven wrong about his feelings towards it.
Sōsuke Takimoto: Formerly Seven's buddy with feelings for Chigusa, he was mortally injured in a mission when saving Keita, making the boy his sucessor before he died.
Chigusa Mimasaga: Head of Under ANCHOR, very serious on her missions and work.
Tōko Asano: An agent of ANCHOR, a lively calm girl who is Phone Braver 4's Buddy and oversees Keita's training. Though a romantic type, Tōko seems to jinx everyone around her whenever she's in love and gets them involved in her affairs.
Kōhei Mito: Under Anchor Tech, in charge of repairing injured Phone Bravers.
Mayuko Hasekura: Kōhei's Assistant.
Mutsuki Sakaki: Mito's Assistant.
Yūto Date: Adviser of ANCHOR.
Masayoshi Sōda: Chairman of ANCHOR
Phone Bravers
The Phone Bravers are small Robots created by ANCHOR, able to transform into cellphones. Only seven have been made and given a human "Buddy".
Phone Braver 7: Called "Seven" a "by the book" sort and latest Phone Braver to be created, colored white. Originally buddied to Takimoro, Seven gains a new buddy in Keita Amishima. His biggest pet peeve is being thrown into the air. In some internet circles, he is known as "Angel K", a walking cellphone thought to ward off a supposed curse brought about by the "Devil K", aka Zero-One.
Phone Braver 6: Colored red, yet to appear.
Phone Braver 5: Colored green, yet to appear.
Phone Braver 4: Called "Fourth" and buddied to Tōko, colored pink. In Maintenance.
Phone Braver 3: Called "'Third'" and buddied to Daiki, colored blue. He is a kind, caring character compared to his Buddy.
Phone Braver 2: The first Test Model and colored yellow, yet to appear.
Phone Braver 01: Called "Zero-One", he is the prototype Phone Braver. Zero One is the major antagonist as his failure to be in sync with his Buddy became the catalyst for his hatred of humans, using hi-tech criminals for his own evil schemes until the "Buddy" fails him and he abandons them. In some internet circles, he is known as "Devil K", the walking cellphone that brought about a curse of death to those who witnessed him.
Boost Phones
The Boost Phones are attachment robots that Phone Bravers use to increase their abilties depending on the crisis.
Boost Phone Seeker: A video cameraphone, allowing a Phone Braver to have a wide range of vision and see through anything. Seven usually uses Seeker.
Boost Phone Speaker: Allows a Phone Braver to listen to soundwaves and use defensive soundwave attacks. Third usually uses Speaker.

Amashima Family
Kentaro Amishima: Keita's father, a laidback guy.
Harumi Amishima: Keita's mother, she worries for whatever her son got himself in.
Karen Amishima: Keita's sister, who keeps up with the internet rumors about "walking cellphones", posing as a middled-aged man online.
Keita's classmates
Yuri Midō: She tries to open Keita up, having feelings for him.
Satoshi Serizawa: Another student in Keita's class. He usually calls Keita "Kuuki-kun" (lit. Airhead-kun), due to his supposed empty-headedness and coldness towards other classmates, especially Yuri.
Investigation Dept 7
The branch of the Police who are investigating the events relating to the "walking cellphones"
Katsuhiko Shimura: Senior dectective who refuses to accept the cellphones' existence.
Shūgo Kaito: Katushiko's partner, he believes in the existence of the "walking cellphones", once believing that they were a by-product of alien technology.
