20 years have passed since the heroes of Sora, Riku, and Mickey saved the world from both Ansem and Nobodies
However, the words that Master Yen Sid told Sora: "There will be Heartless as long as darkness exists in a single heart"
which did not exclude the creation of Nobodies.
Thus, 3 people that were the apprentices to Sora, Riku, and Mickey have risen to give order to the world of Kingdom Hearts by teaching the harmony of Light and Darkness.

After Sora, Riku, and Mickey have gone missing for the last 5 years, their apprentices (who call themselves the Trinity Limit) have created 3 Orders:
- following the Path of Light: The Keyblade Knights
-following the Path of Darkness: The Hollowed Heart
-following between the Paths: Road to Dawn
For a time, these 3 Orders have created peace, teaching the populace the delicate meaning of balance of the heart.

After a long time, there has no word from Sora, Riku, or King Mickey...where rumors have spread that they were consumed by an almighty force.
Hearing this somber news, the Leader of the Hollowed Hearts has gone mad as though possessed by an unknown force, corrupting the Order of Darkness making them declare war against the other two: The Order of Light and the Order of Dawn
The 3 leaders then created an era in history dubbed by historian Jiminy Cricket as "The Second Keyblade War", where the 3 factions have fought for nearly 50 years, forcing keyblade onto keyblade.

By some miracle, 3 youths have risen from the void and have been praised as the reincarnation of Sora, Riku, and King Mickey. These 3 finally stop the seemingly endless war, which has ended up killing the 3 leaders.
The 3 youths then have then reincarnated the 3 orders:
The Order of Light
The Order of Darkness
The Order of Dawn

The people have fallen to grief as the youth that leads the Order of Darkness has seemed to be corrupted by the same unknown force that has corrupted the past leader 50 years ago.
With the drums of war being struck once again, the leaders of the Light and Dawn are determined the finish what they have done long ago: to destroy the unknown force, and to bring out the light in the darkness once more

Desperate in ending the war, two of the 3 Orders have gained the ability to control part of the shattered hearts.
Keyblade Knights have gained control of the Nobodies and,
the Hollowed hearts have gained control of the Heartless
(there is a thread for only Rising Sun and Hollowed Hearts to apply for what kind of Heartless/Nobody that you will control)

Realizing their disadvantage of having no minions, the Rising Suns have tapped into another source of power: The Guardians. Previously, the guardians were either slaves to the darkness or to the Nobodies, but after being defeated they have been given their own will.
To gain their power, the members of Rising Sun have employed "The Guardians" service, being able to summon a slightly weaker version of the ones they call to aide them in battle.
