Kingdom Hearts I In Kingdom Hearts, the story is not like the movie. Instead the plot is about the Doctor making an artificial heart so Jack can control the Heartless. This is because Jack wishes to make the Heartless perform in his plans for Halloween. But working with Maleficent, Lock, Shock and Barrel steal the heart and take it to Oogie. Sora and company chase them and fight them but Oogie already has the heart. They find Oogie and defeat him but then Oogie combines with his Manor and is taken over by darkness and fights Sora. After the battle, the location of the Keyhole is revealed.
Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days In Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, when Roxas first arrives in Halloween Town, he finds Jack Skellington pondering on how to make Halloween scarier and more shocking than ever before. Roxas leaves him there to think, and continues on his mission of collecting hearts. On Roxas's next few missions to Halloween Town he finds there are fewer and fewer Heartless, making heart collecting more difficult. Roxas uses Zero, who is able to locate hidden Heartless, to help him finish his mission. After a few more visits to Halloween Town, Roxas grows tired of Lock, Shock, and Barrel, who had been playing tricks on him, and attempts to stop them. They attack him, but Roxas defeats them, and they promise not to play tricks on him anymore.
Barrel almost divulges information on what they've been doing, but Lock quiets him and they escape. Disregarding their promise, the three play the same trick on Roxas immediately on his next arrival. After completing his mission, Roxas tries to leave, but is attacked by a Tentaclaw. He defeats it and returns. The Organization reports that the Heartless population in Halloween Town is unusually low, so Roxas is sent to investigate. When he arrives at Guillotine Plaza, a Heartless appears, fleeing from something. Another Tentaclaw sprouts from the ground and swallows the Heartless, a Creepworm. Roxas searches for the source outside of town and sees Lock, Shock, and Barrel escaping over the wall to Boogie's home.
He defeats the Tentaclaws at Curly Hill, before taking on the source of the cannibalistic appendages, the Leechgrave. However, Jack - watching from outside the zone of battle - likes the idea of a Halloween with "a black cloak and black tentacles". On his last mission to Halloween Town, Roxas is shown to be worrying about Xion. He resolves to finish his mission as quickly as possible and return to the castle to speak with her. As he searches through Halloween Town, Roxas is unable to find any Heartless. He decides to check outside of town, and encounters what he believes is an Orcus. The Heartless proves hard to handle, but Axel arrives and intervenes between the two. Axel reveals the Orcus as Xion, explaining that the battle was a trap to get the two to fight to the death, disposing of the weakest one. They leave for Twilight Town, disturbed by the Organization's intentions.
Sometime later, Roxas is transported here by Xion at the Manor Ruins. Xion uses the Organization's device to summon a sword to attack Roxas. However, Roxas manages to destroy the sword. Xion then transports herself and Roxas to Agrabah to continue the fight.
Kingdom Hearts II In Kingdom Hearts II, the plot follows much to the original film. Like in the original film, Jack wants to take Santa's place. While at the same time, Maleficent has revived Oogie Boogie (although suffering from amnesia), and has him remake Santa's present making machine into a Heartless making machine. Maleficent has Shock, Barrel, and Lock assist Boogie, even letting them use a fearsome Heartless. Sora, Donald, and Goofy tries to stop Jack's scheme, while trying to shut down the Heartless operation.
On the second visit, Sora, Donald, and Goofy learn from Jack that Christmas Presents are being stolen, and resolve to find out who and to what end, the quartet visit Santa to request making Dummy Presents to draw out the thief, they end up hiding in a huge box (accompanied by some humorous dialogue) and surprise the thief, only to find, as Jack's realization so clearly states: Doctor Finkelstein's Experiment did it! a battle goes on with the raging machine, but Sora and friends come out on top, learning from Finkelstein later, that the Experiment wished only to know the happiness that Christmas brings, Jack, all the while, thinks the box makes the magic, but learns from Sora that it's not about the box, paper, ribbons, or what's inside, what matters is the principle of giving, after this, Jack and Sally share a romantic moment in the snow, with Donald and Goofy teasing Sora about imagining himself and Kairi in the same occurrence.
Halloween Town Sora:
Sora wears a black outfit quite similar to that of a vampire. His hands also have white gloves that are typical to Disney characters. He has skeletal bat wings on his back and wears a pumpkin mask on the right side of his face. His face is blackened so as to blend into the gothic atmosphere.
Halloween Town Donald:
Donald wears mummy-like bandages that cover almost all of his body. A gap in the bandages shows that there is nothing under them. His features are darkened almost everywhere.
Halloween Town Goofy:
Goofy has the look of Frankenstein's monster, with a giant screw mirroring his hat coming out of the top of his head. His nose is recolored as a tiny jack-o-lantern, similar to Jack Skellington's faithful ghost-dog, Zero.
Jack is shown to be incredibly eccentric, always alive and active. He is somewhat of an optimist, when he puts his mind to something, he will not stop until he achieves it. He tends to be slightly oblivious, and never thinks things through, which usually leads to disaster. But he is an overall cheerful, eccentric, character who is greatly respected by all, with the exception of Oogie.
Sally is an extremely kind and thoughtful person. She is also very smart, always looking ahead and solving problems. She is restless, though. She has never liked being held back by Dr. Finkelstein and often tries to escape.
The doctor is an extremely irritable, grouchy old man. He has a passion for inventing, though showing no skill at inventing whatsoever, shown by the following things: Sally was obviously not supposed to be a "good for nothing girl," and the heart, the potion, and the experiment all turned out wrong.
Zero is a ghostly dog that appears to be made of a white sheet, much like a stereotypical ghost. Like Pluto, he has basset hound-esque floppy ears. His "eyes" are just empty holes in the sheet. Zero's snout is very long and thin, and his upper jaw curls upward at the tip. His nose is a small jack-o-lantern, and his collar is a faded brown color.
Unlike the other residents of Halloween Town, who are innocent creatures whose job it is to scare, and are actually good creatures, Oogie Boogie is the only resident of Halloween Town who is truly evil. Oogie Boogie's most dominant emotion of his personality is obviously fear. Whether it's scaring the daylights out of others, or being terrified himself, Oogie is always involved with fear. He also is shown to be considerably more dull than the other villains. Although he does seem to have his smart streak every now and then. Oogie also shows a love to gamble and to play games. With the dice that he always throws and the fact that his boss battles take place on game boards (more torture-like game boards) makes this obvious. Also, Oogie has been shown to annoy the other Disney villains in some cutscenes, seen when he tells Captain Hook that "you're no prize yourself," after which Hook angrily tells him to shut up. He is also the most sassy of the group. Despite his menacing appearance, Oogie is in fact nothing more than a coward, who relies on fighting dirty, too afraid to take on enemies himself, rather sending his booby traps and strange gambling devices to fight for him.
Oogie's Manor is, as the name implies, Oogie Boogie's mansion. It is located in a high hill, only reachable via the walking tub. The entrance consists of a broken bridge. Oddly enough, Oogie Boogie's main room isn't located in the top level, but below a small green-doored room called the Torture Chamber. Inside the chamber, various gadgets and traps reminiscent of gambling tools can be found. The intruders are forced down to the roulette table, where razor blades and exploding dice are thrown down. After Oogie's defeat, he uses the Dark powers to merge with his manor, creating a gigantic version of himself. In this form, his spider cage takes a lantern-like form, swinging and spewing fires at the same time. The only way of destroying this form is to destroy the dark orbs supplying Oogie Boogie with his power. After the manor collapses, the moonlight will reveal the Keyhole in this world, situated below Oogie's Manor.
The Prison Keeper is a large, seemingly mechanical Heartless that seems to be made out of metal, and is thus predominantly shades of grey, black, and silver. Its large, egg-shaped head has a jagged, gaping maw and glowing eyes that are triangular spirals. Its face is not one uniform color, and seems to have been broken, as there is a crack between its eyes that appears to have been stitched or stapled back together. It has a long, twisted antenna sprouting out of the top of its head that appears to be wrapped in bandages. Its Heartless emblem is at the base of this antenna. Its long arms are connected to the bottom of its head, are mostly covered by metal "sleeves", and its hands seem to be made of bone. A large, metal cage holding the three children is suspended by a wire that hangs from the bottom of the Prison Keeper. The cage resembles the one that Lock, Shock, and Barrel use to travel Oogie's Manor in The Nightmare Before Christmas and Kingdom Hearts. There is a large, black knob on either side of the Heartless's head that seems to operate a the winch at the Prison Keeper’s base.
The Experiment is a large, mechanized being similar to the Chimera in that it is made up of a wide mixture of objects. Its body is large, funnel-shaped, and head three curled spikes lining its outer edge. Its lower body is much smaller and is apparently made of an upside-down skull, with the eye sockets acting as its hip joints. Its legs are relatively thin and short and end in feet comprised of two small wheels, each with two white spikes on their sides. Its left shoulder is decorated by a faded green spiral and the arm is a bellowed tube that ends in a spiky clamp. Its right arm in bulkier and ends in a massive, elaborate, three-pronged claw. Its neck is long and thin and its head is long and capsule-shaped. Its eyes are black with very small, faded green pupils, its mouth is filled with sharp teeth, and there are several twisted pieces of metal resembling "hair". Because it is made entirely out of various pieces of metal, it is predominantly colored in dark, faded shades of grey, white, and silver. The Experiment is referred to as "Dr. Finkelstein's experiment" throughout the entire story, hence its name in Jiminy's Journal.
Halloween Town Keyblades
ChistmasTown Christmas Town is an expanded part of Halloween Town added in Kingdom Hearts II, located through a door in the Hinterlands. Although it is a world of its own story-wise, it is recognized as a part of Halloween Town, as shown under the location title as the player proceeds through the areas.
As a special world, it represents the holiday of Christmas. Once a year, the ruler Santa Claus will travel throughout the universe to give presents to children named on his nice-list.
Oogie Boogie and The Experiment are fought here respectively during the first and second visits to Halloween Town.
Christmas Town Sora:
In his Santa Form, Sora retains the dark, ashen physical appearance, boots, pants, and legs wrappings from his Vampire Form. The rest of his clothing, however, changes radically. His mask is replaced by a large, black hat with a white fur rim and a puff ball on the tip, similar to Santa Claus's that is pulled over the right half of his face. He wears a black shirt with white fur lining, silver crown buttons lining the front, and a faded, brown belt with a silver buckle around his waist and over the shirt. His arms are shown to be unusually thin and have a slight brown tint to them. His gloves turn black and have white fur lining around the cuffs. Sora's Keyblade is slightly brighter in this form than it is in his Vampire Form.
The color of Sora's hat and the back of his shirt gain a slight tint to match the Drive Form he is currently in. His hat and the back of his shirt also gain a symbol to match the appropriate form. When Sora is in Valor Form, his hat gains a red fleur-de-lis and the shirt is adorned with a thorn pattern. Wisdom Form's hat and shirt both sport a blue flame. Limit Form's hat and shirt both sport a white crown. There is a single gold cross on Master Form's hat, and several more on the shirt. Final Form's hat is emblazoned with a silver, N-shaped rune, and the shirt bears a pair of wings. Anti Form's hat and shirt are both adorned by a stylized Heartless emblem.
Christmas Town Donald:
In his Snowman Form, Donald's appearance changes drastically from his Mummy Form. He resembles a typical snowman, with a white body that seems to be made of two large balls of snow stacked on top of each other. His arms seem to be made of branches, his tail is a small, red gardening trowel, and he has two coal "buttons" on his chest. His legs and head appear unchanged, and he wears red and white spats on his feet, a scarf with red and green stripes around his neck, and a blue shako in place of his usual hat.
Christmas Town Goofy:
In his Reindeer Form, Goofy takes on the traits of a reindeer. His clothing changes into a reddish-brown suit similar to the one worn by Santa Claus, with white fur lining around the sleeves. He wears a loose, red belt with a gold buckle around his waist and red mittens with green ribbons tied on them. His feet become light tan and have brown hooves, and a green wreath hangs from his neck. Goofy's nose glows orange, reminiscent of the popular Christmas story of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer. Two black, elegantly curled antlers sprout from the top of his head.
Christmas Town Jack Skellington:
Jack in his Santa costume in Kingdom Hearts II, he takes a comparable role to his character in the movie. He tries to take Santa's place (for the second time), and helps save him from a resurrected Oogie. Eventually, thanks to Santa, he realized that it his duty to take care of Halloween, as much as it is for Santa and Christmas. His Santa suit then helps Sora open a new pathway to the Pride Lands.
Later, Jack is blamed for stealing the presents from Santa's factory. He teams up with Sora again to help solve the mystery and clear his name. They do this by hiding in a giant present and tricking the thief into stealing it. Jack and Sora then defeat the thief, who turns out to be Dr. Finkelstein's Experiment, and save Christmas. After that, Santa lets Jack ride in his sleigh. Later, Sally helps him realize that the most important thing of Christmas is not the gift box, nor the present inside it, but the wish of the giver to make someone happy.
Santa Claus is a very fat man dressed in a faded red, white fur-lined coat closed with a darker red belt. His very tiny hands are covered by black gloves that also have white fur lining. His feet and legs, though usually hidden by his coat, are even smaller than his hands, and covered by black boots. His hat is also red and lined with white fur, and ends in a white fur ball. The hat itself is quite long and thin. Santa has white hair and eyebrows, and a very long, thick beard that nearly reaches the floor. His cheeks and bulbous nose are faintly pink, as are his lips.
