Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (キングダム ハーツ 358/2 Days Kingudamu Hātsu Surī Faibu Eito Deizu ōbā Tsū?, pronounced "Kingdom Hearts Three-Five-Eight Days over Two") is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the Nintendo DS with assistance from h.a.n.d. It will be a new installment in the best-selling Kingdom Hearts series; the fourth in the series and the fourth in chronological order. Like Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories, the story is a midquel taking place between Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II. The game centers on the daily life of the main character Roxas, exploring the time from Roxas' birth during the first game, Kingdom Hearts, to his confrontation with Riku during the interval after Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and leading directly into Kingdom Hearts II. It is planned to feature 3D graphics, single and multiplayer modes of play. The game was announced at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show to be released in Japan; a North American release was later confirmed.
358/2 Days will feature gameplay similar to the action role-playing game style of the previous games in the series. To accomplish this, the game will make minimal use of the system's touch screen functionality. The game will include single player and multiplayer modes of play. The single player mode will be story based, focused on Disney worlds from past games, and will progress in days. In single player mode, the player will control Roxas, the game's main protagonist, who is accompanied by other Organization XIII members. The two modes will be linked in that character growth will be shared between them.
Cooperative multiplayer was one feature on display at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show demonstrating that players can work together, in addition to the traditional use of AI controlled partners. This is the first Kingdom Hearts game to feature multiplayer. The multiplayer gameplay is separate from the single player story and will be mission-based, which include cooperative and competitive player battles. It will allow up to four players to play as one of the thirteen members of Organization XIII, with each member having different weapons and skills. 358/2 Days' multiplayer will also feature a chat system for communication between players, but will differ from PictoChat in that everyone will draw on the same screen.
358/2 Days revolves around the untold events of Roxas during his time with Organization XIII and will take place during the year Sora was asleep between the events of Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories and Kingdom Hearts II. The game's prologue will cover the "birth" of Roxas, but the gameplay will start from when he enters the Organization. Roxas' daily duties with the Organization, his doubts, and his defection will also be included in the story. The initial trailer showed most of the events in Twilight Town. Other worlds, like the Destiny Islands, Beast's Castle, and Wonderland, have also been featured. Like previous Kingdom Hearts titles, 358/2 Days will feature a mix of Disney and established Kingdom Hearts characters: Roxas, King Mickey, Riku, Oogie Boogie, The Beast, Pete, Aladdin, Naminé, DiZ, and Organization XIII, including a new female member, named Xion (シオン Shion?). Xion is considered a key character to the game, and the reason why the Organization's name remained "Organization XIII" after a fourteenth member joined will be explained in the game.

Kingdom Hearts coded (キングダムハーツ コーデッド Kingudamu Hātsu kōdeddo?) is a puzzle video game developed and published by Square Enix, in collaboration with the Walt Disney Internet Group for mobile phones. It is an installment in the Kingdom Hearts series that is set after the events of the most recent installment, Kingdom Hearts II. The story focuses on a message written in Jiminy Cricket's journal. The game was announced at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show. Currently, the title is only a Japanese release, though Square Enix has plans for releases in other territories.
Coded is set after the events of Kingdom Hearts II. While organizing the records in his journal from his travels with Sora and his friends, Jiminy Cricket's curiosity about the line "Thank Naminé" results in him finding a message that he did not write: "We must return to free them from their torment." To investigate this message, King Mickey digitizes the contents of the journal and goes into the simulated world to investigate; awakening a virtual Sora on Destiny Islands to carry out the contents of the journal to uncover the identity of "them". However, the virtual Sora encounters "bugs", which take the form of red and black blocks.
Coded is a puzzle game with action elements mixed into the gameplay. The action gameplay is similar to the action-RPG style of the previous games in the series and features a similar basic interface. Coded also includes minigame and platforming elements. The game features a mix of graphics, with three-dimensional (3D) backgrounds and two-dimensional (2D) characters. The initial trailer showcased the main character, Sora, in dungeons with floating red and black blocks. Battles feature a "debugging" mode to remove the blocks in order to progress towards enemies. Blocks are also used to solve puzzles or reach higher ground.

Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (キングダムハーツ バース バイ スリープ Kingudamu Hātsu Bāsu bai Surīpu?) is an upcoming action role-playing game developed and published by Square Enix for the PlayStation Portable. It is an installment in the Kingdom Hearts series that focuses on Terra, Ven, and Aqua, characters briefly featured in Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix+. Birth by Sleep is a prequel to the first Kingdom Hearts game, taking place ten years before the former, and features many previously unexplained plot elements from the original Kingdom Hearts trilogy. The game is currently set for a Summer 2009 launch in Japan, although Square has plans to release it in other territories.
Birth by Sleep is a single-player action role-playing game which features melee combat. The game features gameplay similar to the style of the previous games in the series, particularly to Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories but card decks won't be used. Birth by Sleep will be divided into three scenarios, with each scenario having different styles of gameplay based on the personalities and abilities of the three main characters: Terra, Ven and Aqua. Game director Tetsuya Nomura has mentioned players can play from any of the three scenarios and possibly stop mid-way through one scenario to begin another. The developers plan to add multiplayer components and a new character growth system. Other new features include a special, first person targeting mode called "Focus" mode that is based mainly on Ventus's storyline and each character having special attack modes that allow them to perform different magic-based attacks. The enemies of the game are the "Unbirths", creatures which are new to the series but are connected to the Heartless and Nobodies that appeared in previous games.
Birth by Sleep is a prequel to the first Kingdom Hearts game, taking place ten years prior, and focusing on the story of three apprentices that wield Keyblades before the series' main protagonist Sora. Nomura has stated that, though there are three scenarios—one for each of the main characters, Terra, Ven and Aqua—there is not one singularly important scenario or character, but one of the main themes is Ven's identity. The story was speculated early on to be connected to the unlockable trailers at the end of Kingdom Hearts II and Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix. Nomura has since confirmed a connection to the trailers.
The game will take place in various Disney-themed worlds both new and old, and will partially reflect the time difference between this game and the previous Kingdom Hearts games; for example, a younger Hercules at the Olympus Coliseum. The story revolves around three Keyblade apprentices in search of a missing Keyblade master, Master Xehanort, and his apprentice. Maleficent is believed to be the main antagonist; she causes a great disaster involving the Heartless which results in Master Xehanort and his apprentice's disappearance.
