Sypnosis
Kudo Shinichi, this series protagonist, is the famous High School Detective of the East. He has solved many mysteries, most of them being cunningly difficult murders. One day, at Tropical Land with his "to be" girlfriend, Ran, he witnessed a blackmail. But because he was so absorbed into watching the deal, he didn't notice some guy dressed fully in black (which he likes to call the Black Organization, often shortened to B.O), sneeking up behind him, and hitting him in the head with a metal baseball bat. He was then forced to take a newly developed drug called, APTX 4869, and fainted.

When he was woke up by the police, he realised his body shrunk into its 7 year old form! In desperation he runs home and bumps into his neighbour, Hiroshi Agasa, more commonly known in the anime as Professor or Hakase. After proving he was Shinichi, Hakase tells Kudo not to tell anyone of his identity, not even to Ran, or they might try to kill him and those around him again. Just then, Ran drops by and finds Kudo (in his 6 year old form). To hide his identity, he wears glasses and says his name is Edogawa Conan, after reading it of the spine of the book (Edogawa Ranpo and Arthur Conan Doyle). Ran then takes Conan home and lives with him and her father, Mouri Kogoro. Edogawa-kun now has to solve cases whilst tracking to Black Organisation down to get the antidote without blowing his cover. Being six once was hard, how hard is it being 7 twice?
