Real Name: Mihael Keehl
Birthday: 13 December 1989
Information:
Mello grew up at the Wammy's House orphanage for gifted children like himself, L, Matt, and Near. After hearing about L's death and hearing the suggestion that him and Near work together to succeed L and catch Kira, he ran away and became a mafia "boss". He succeeded in getting the Death Note eventually, and with it, he met the shinigami Shidoh who told him about the fake rules that Light wrote in the notebook. Mello got the notebook by ransom with the police; he kidnapped Sayu Yagami and demanded the notebook for her.
He had the notebook for a while, but the police basically ambushed their hideout, and since Chief Yagami had the shinigami eyes at the moment, he discovered Mello's true name (Mihael Keehl) but didn't kill him. Instead, Mello blew up the building which was one of the major contributes to Chief Yagami's death which came quick afterward. The other contributations were his shinigami eyes and he got shot in the back.
Mello was assumed "dead" or "idle" for a while, but he located Mail Jeevas or "Matt" who helped him catch Kira. Matt was after Mello to succeed L back at Wammy's House. Just like Mello is addicted to chocolate, Matt is addicted to cigarettes and he appears to be addicted to video games as well. Matt helps Mello kidnap Takada Kiyomi after figuring out Light's/Kira's plans. Somehow, Mello figured out that Mikami Teru was using a fake notebook, and that the real one was hidden and if Takada was put in a certain bad situation, he knew he should've killed her. Because he was using a fake notebook the whole time, he had to go to the bank for the second day in a row which was very strange since that never happened and his life was like clock-work. Since Mikami was being spyed on, the SPK figured out that it was a fake notebook. Mikami killed her, and Takada was forced to kill Mello as he drove a truck to take her somwhere to keep her quiet. So Mikami kept the notebook which the SPK replaced with a fake one. Letting Near win. The amazing part was, that Mello did not like Near at all, yet he told Near pretty much all of his information. Because of the fact that there was no way that Near could win without Mello, Mello recieved the biggest thanks for catching Kira.
