WHICH CHAPTER HAVE WE UPLOADED TO?

NOTE: THE MANGA STARTS HERE. It only starts from Chapter 1 - if you want the meeting of Katie and Mirmo, check out yuki_snow's site. Otherwise, it'll be uploaded here. The first album has chapters 1-20 while the other is for chapters 21 and beyond.

For now, one chapter will belong in one album for easier classification.

All the manga scans and pictures uploaded here belong to me, except for the content. The full pages of Mirmo and Katie's meeting belong to Mai (yuki_snow), however.

We are currently up to Chapter 24 of the sixth volume! (Note: the meeting of Katie and Mirumo is not considered part of the chapter storyline, as it is a "prologue" more than anything else.)

MIRMO ZIBANG! - CHARACTERS

Compared to the anime, the manga charcters' personalities are rather different to that of the anime's ones. Whether or not the change was for better or worse, it's a subjective opinion. Everything here is written by me.

(Note: The names used here are the English names, not the original Japanese ones.)

Katie Minami - A shy and cheerful girl. She likes to help people and is warm and caring to her peers.

Mirmo - The prince of the fairy world who loves chocolate, he can be rather lazy at times and has this rather straightfoward personality which can be mistaken easily for being cold and aloof. He does have his good points, however.

Dylan Yuki - His face is usually buried in a book, but despite that is suprisingly good at sports. He gets embarrassed easily.

Rima - She loves Mirmo and is his fianceé. She has an outgoing personality, combined with super strength, and likes cream-filled pastries.

Azumi Hidaka - A rather nice girl (at certain times) with a really scary temper. Has violent tendencies such as beating people up, but that trait is usually played for laughs.

Yatch - He always speaks of his mission of being sent to the human world by his master to destroy Mirmo. He can be rather mysterious at times and makes it a point to return people's favours.

Kyle Matsutake - A rich boy in love with our main character who is a bit of a crybaby.

Murumo - His cute looks hide a suprisingly sinister side. His first love is marshmallows and is usually happy to do anything when bribed with them.

Koichi Sumita - An awkward, gentle person who likes Katie and is very supportive of her. He is thoughtful of others' feelings.

Papii - She does whatever it takes to fufill her partner's wish with a fiery, undeterred passion. She likes Murumo, but is often unable to express her true feelings.

Ryo Sanada - A girl who resembles a guy and as such has taken to wearing the boy's school uniform. She is straightforward, outgoing, bold, and is involved in all kinds of sports.

Mun - A quiet fairy who has an aura of mystery around him. He gives off the impression of a lone ranger, which attracts many females to him.

Ginga Hoshino - A "beautiful" transfer student who many girls admire. He has taken a liking to Katie, but his actions are largely motivated by some deep, dark secret.

Dark - He does not take good news very well, given that his reasons for trying to overthrow the royal family and turn the world of fairies into a land of evil was because he was dumped.

Marumo - The father of Mirmo and Murumo who is the king of the fairy world. He likes eating sweets.

Sara - The mother of Mirmo and Murumo who is the queen of the fairy world.She is very kind and gentle, but appears to possess some terrifying aura.

Estomi Kido - She is a strong and responsible person. When it comes to feelings, she does a good job of hiding them.

Hajime Kanna - A generally friendly person who has taken the personality trait "being a jerk" in his stride.

Shisho - Yatch's self-proclaimed master. He is very loyal to Dark.

Sasuke - Easily nervous.One of Yatch's underlings.

Hanzo - Rather clumsy. Another one of Yatch's underlings.

Fairy of death (Volume 4) - Incredibly persistent.

Haruka Morishita - Yuki's childhood friend and his first love. She can be quite bossy, which is a turnabout from her usual smiling demeanour, and ironically has a temper even scarier than Hidaka's.

Peter - Mirmo's best friend who gets touched easily, and expresses that feeling by crying openly.

Bike (note: pronounced as Bee-kay) - He is regarded as the "most beautiful" fairy, which of course equates to no lack of girls surrounding him.

Gabin - Morbid and negative thoughts fill his head most of the time. He is excellent in making a whole, perfect situation seem doubtful.

Manbo - He is overly concerned about his appearance and feels a pressing need to project a "cool" image, which often results in others thinking of him as the opposite.

Anna - Somwhat of a fairy scholar, Anna is usually found at the library. She is bad at expressing her feelings.

Panta - He was originally a spirt wandering around the fairy world. Thanks to Mirmo, he managed to find eternal rest, and is very attached to him. The feeling, however, is not mutual.

Elder - He is very knowledgable about the going-ons in the fairy world. Consulted as an advisor.

Almo - The first king of the fairy world, and was its creator.

Kepapa - An odd-looking creature which boasts many functions. It has served the royal family for generations.

WHICH CHARACTER RESEMBLES WHO?

Let me illustrate. The anime went off on a tangent from the manga, in that it introduced a bunch of other characters which somehow ended up being certain manga characters' replacements. (Which could be a viable reason why we do not get to see the fairy form of Dark and Hoshino, but rather Saori, Akumi, the Warumo Gang, the Yamane and Nezumi siblings and human Dark that contributed to the anime plot instead.)

Saori - Hoshino's anime counterpart. In the manga, Dark made use of Hoshino, like how Dark made use of Saori to spread his evil to the human word and the fairy world. There are more disturbing connotations in the manga version in that Dark was planning to off Hoshino after he proved useless, but we don't really see that in the anime with Saori.

Dark - Dark's counterpart (?). They look largely different despite having the same name, but that's pretty obvious considering that the manga had fairy-form Dark, while the anime had human-form Dark.

EPISODES RELATED TO THE MANGA

Certain manga parts are related to the anime (like most manga-to-anime transitions), but have some changes made here and there. The listing here is mostly for fun and could have missed out several things. Studying this makes it seem like a real pity when you realise a bulk of the really interesting manga arcs never got animated in favour of the plot the anime had developed.

ENGLISH VERSION - MANGA SUMMARY
These were provided by Chuang Yi. I have only typed them out and claim no ownership to them.
Under each summary, I have provided a listing of the key events that have occured in each volume.

Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 1

Hi, I'm Katie! Guess what? A little love fairy called Mirmo just popped out of my mug a few days ago! He says that his magic can make Yuki (my crush! He's sooo gorgeous!) fall in love with me, but he doesn't seem to want to help me at all! What should I do?...Oh no! I think I've made Mirmo angry again...What's more, that Hidaka girl keeps attacking me whenever I try to get near Yuki! Grrr!!

*Mirmo and Katie's meeting.
*Rima's debut. Establishes a connection with Yuki.
*Yatch's debut. Establishes a connection with Hidaka.
*Hidaka makes use of the love vacuum to sap out Katie's love for Yuki.
*Due to an unprecedented action of Rima's, Katie's love ends up broken. This is a problem because at that point, there was no known way of fixing it.


Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 2

My name is Katie, and I'm currently staying with Mirmo, a little love fairy! Recently, fairies have been appearing one after another - starting with Rima, who now stays with my crush Yuki, followed by Yatch, who is staying with my love rival, Hidaka. It's pretty exciting, actually! But something serious just happened! My 'LOVE' has been stolen by Yatch... and somehow he broke it! What will happen to my 'LOVE' for Yuki now!?

*Murumo's debut.
*Murumo fixes Katie's love as his new syllabus has the method.
*Matsutake's debut. He falls in love with Katie after Katie apologises to him for a mistake Mirmo made, and afterwards establishes a connection with Murumo (after some ranting on his hate for tomato juice.)
*Hidaka decides that the plot is getting boring. She thus arranges to kidnap Rima and tries to make a deal with Katie that if she wants Rima back, she has to give up on Yuki.
*Mirmo heads to the riverbank, where Yatch taunts him with Rima.
*Yatch accidentally scratches Rima's cheek. This somehow angers Mirmo and he decides that it is time to get serious.


Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 3

Rima's been kidnapped!! Yatch is demanding that Mirmo meet up with him for a showdown. Meanwhile, Hidaka is threatening to harm Rima if I tell Yuki anything about it!! What shall I do? I really want to help get Rima back, but Mirmo is forcing me to go to school instead...

*Mirmo beats Yatch to a pulp, and Hidaka gets told off for her actions.
*Katie travels to the future to find out Yuki's feelings for her. She sees her future self with Matsutake and Hidaka and Yuki having a relationship, which shocks her so badly that she ends up being trapped since she has exceeded her time limit of being able to stay in the future.
*Mirmo ends up using a forbidden spell to get Katie out, which renders him unable to use magic for a week.
*Hidaka and Matsukaze team up in the period where Mirmo can't use magic. They use items in which if given to a person, the person will start liking whoever gave them the present in the span of three days. Hidaka's the first to proceed, and gives a pen to Yuki.
*Katie witnesses this and remembers her escapade in the future, where Hidaka and Yuki apparently formed a relationship over a pen. She tries to stop it, but with a lack of a valid reason fails to.
*Yuki and Hidaka get closer. Katie's depressed by it and Matsutake makes use of the opportunity to give her a keychain.
*Mirmo finds out Hidaka and Matsutake's plot through Katie's keychain, and devises a plan to get Yuki back to normal.
*They succeed, and Yuki repays Katie by allowing her a date. It ends up with Hidaka and Matsutake tagging along.
*Yatch's master, Shisho, debuts, and wants Yatch to get rid of Mirmo with the aid of Sasuka and Hanzo. Naturally, it fails.
*After Hidaka and Matsutake leave, Katie gives Yuki a pinbadge (it came in a pair.) Katie then chances upon Yatch, Sasuke and Hanzo drowning in a drain due to them slipping when trying to capture Mirmo, and saves them. She leaves, and Yatch finds himself with a favour to repay.
*Yatch's master takes matters into his own hands and sends Mirmo chocolates laced with poison. Yatch informs Katie of this via note (as repayment), who immediately makes Mirmo spit them out. However, there was one last piece, which ended up being swallowed by Katie by pure accident.
*Mirmo leaves in a huff, thinking that Katie is a fool to believe Yatch's mail and eating his chocolate. Katie tries to call him back, but she faints.
*Yuki notices a crack in his pin badge, and notes it as odd since it was fine before. Rima remarks that she has a bad feeling about it.


Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 4

I heard from Yatch that his master has sent Mirmo some poisoned chocolates! Gasp! To my horror, Mirmo started to wolf them down immediately, but I managed to make him spit it all out! We fought tooth and nail over the last piece, but admist the tussle, I accidentally swallowed it! I'm feeling kinda sleepy now...Oh no! Mirmo, help me!!

*Yatch encounters Mirmo, and is pleased to hear that Mirmo didn't consume the chocolates. He however goes into a fit when he hears that Katie has done so instead.
*Katie finds herself in a strange world, where she finds out she's dead after a death fairy approaches her. She doesn't take the news too well.
*Yatch calls Sasuke and Hanzo to steal a book about fairy poison from their master. They succeed, mostly due to the fact that Shisho is a heavy sleeper.
*Through the book's contents, the small fairy gang find out that they need to grow a flower in order to get the ingredient vital to save Katie. However, the seed requires one month to fully grow and bloom, and they don't have such time on their hands as Katie's body will soon expire. Mirmo thus orders Rima and Murumo to get a bunch of books from the fairy library to find a spell that makes plants grow quicker.
*To make the seed grow, the fairies do a fire-dance. After long hours of dancing, a small shoot has only emerged, and the fairies are getting demoralised. Mirmo, spurred on by the thought of possibly losing Katie, forges on and this action motivates the other fairies to also continue.
*Yuki is worried that Katie isn't at school. He decides to visit her.
*The seed successfully grows and blooms into a flower. The fairies quickly feed Katie a petal grounded into powder dissolved in water, hoping that whatever they did would succeed. Murumo notices Yuki's presence outside Katie's house.
*The fairy of death is getting impatient, and resorts to using magic to drag Katie off to paradise. However, the antidote seems to have taken effect, and Katie can hear Yuki and Mirmo's voices. She escapes and awakes.
*Katie is greeted by the fairies and Yuki. She instantly hugs Yuki and starts crying.
*Mirmo watches her interactions with the fairies with a forlorn look. When night arrives, he tells Katie he wishes to return to the fairy world. After much pestering, Katie finds out it's because Mirmo does not want to drag her into further danger. She's still completely fine with it, and has him to stay.
*Matsutake wants to try new ways of getting Katie to like him. He extends this offer to Azumi, who flat-out refuses. When he relates his woes to Murumo, he hears that Murumo plans of going on a journey. Murumo, however, leaves behind a box of magic items at Matsutake's disposal.
*A girl transfers into Katie's class. Her name is Haruka Morishita, and she is Yuki's first love. Her presence takes much of Yuki's attention away from Katie and Azumi.
*Matsutake uses magic to get Yuki to fall in love with Haruka. When Yuki "realises" his feelings, he tells Katie to give up on him. This is followed by Matsutake comforting Katie and Katie telling Azumi she's probably better off with Matsutake.
*Azumi ruthlessly berates Katie for how weak she is, and Katie realises she is right. She returns home to Mirmo with a smile on her face. They spectulate over Murumo's possible involvement with the current fiasco. Meanwhile, Hidaka gets Yatch to spy on Haruka.
*Murumo shows up, as he apparently got bored of his journey. He tells the duo about the box of magic items, which is followed up with Azumi bursting into Katie's house saying that Haruka is somehow connected to Matsutake.
*Through several bits of evidence, Mirmo pieces together what Matsutake has done. He then comes up with the solution to bring Yuki back to normal, which succeeds.
*The Katie, Yuki and Azumi trio decide to tell Haruka the truth about Matsutake. She harshly scolds Matsutake for his actions and ends the book off with saying that she will stay in the school to keep watch.



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 5

I never dreamt that someone besides Matsutake would have a crush on me! I told him straight off that it's impossible between him and me, because I already like Yuki...But he's such a nice guy, I feel bad about giving him the cold shoulder! Meanwhile, Papii's coming to the human world to stay, and she needs a human partner...I wonder if...?

*Rima forsees a new development in Katie's love life. This leads us to the introduction of Koichi Sumita, a boy who would very much like to be friends with Katie.
*Azumi invites Yuki to ice-skating, which Katie is also determined to tag along for. On the day itself, she realises Sumita has also been invited.
*Katie, embarrassingly enough, cannot skate, and thus Azumi tells Sumita to teach her. Azumi then uses this to get them "closer" (in terms of physical contact) by using Sasuke and Hanzo. This builds up to her using kiss stickers on Sumita and Katie, who end up kissing due to it, right in front of Yuki.
*Katie is considerably distressed and runs home to cry. To comfort her, the fairies get Yuki to Katie's apartment and sing a song to teleport them to some other location. Katie and Yuki sort out the issue and everything becomes relatively normal again.
*Papii shows up. Katie enlists Yuki's help to find her a partner, which ends up in Sumita being the one picked for the job.
*Sumita and Papii "bond" somewhat after meeting each other, and Papii decides to show Sumita how to be more straightforward with his feelings. She thus seeks out Murumo, but her demonstration doesn't go so well and ends up in her making a bet with him - if Sumita and Katie are able to fall in love by a week, he will have to do anything she says. The opposite is also true for Papii.
*Papii does a lot of elaborate schemes to get Katie to know Sumita's good side. It comes to plain, utter shock when she overhears Katie telling Mirmo there is no way she will love Sumita, but if Papii loses, Murumo's going to take the advantage to break off all ties with her.




Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 6

It looks like Yuki and I are finally growing closer to one another! Hidaka and Yatch are still trying their best to come between Yuki and me, but Mirmo always saves the day when things go wrong! Hey, wait a sec...The 'Great One' that Yatch takes orders from has sent him some powerful magical weapons in order to destroy Mirmo! What do we do now?



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 7

Mirmo has caught a cold...but it's not just any ordinary cold! He's been behaving in a weird manner, and his condition just keeps worsening! I hope he gets well soon...Anyway, Valentine's day is just round the corner! I'm so happy because I've made a wonderful chocolate cake for Yuki. It's filled with the essence of all my love! I hope he likes it!...But oh no! It's gone missing on the big day itself! What should I do now?!


Mirmo Zibang!-Volume 8

There is a new transfer student in my class! He appears to be a nice guy and is popular with the girls, but he looks...lonely. I wish I could do something for him. Perhaps Mirmo can help? Also, the evil fairy Lord Dark, finally makes his appearance, challenging Mirmo to a showdown! Don't lose, Mirmo! Show him that hatred can never triumph over love!



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 9

Mirmo's returning to the Fairy World?! Thanks to all the 'Love Energy' Mirmo has been getting from me, he's finally managed to defeat the evil Dark! Immediately after that, King Marumo, the King of the Fairy World dropped by for a visit! He wants Mirmo to go home, but...what will Mirmo do? Will I never see Mirmo again?! There's a shocking new development to my relationship with Yuki, too! It's a volume jam-packed with more fun and excitement than you can handle!



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 10

I've finally started going out with Yuki...But what's this? Someone wrote a love letter to Yuki?! My rival seems to get along pretty well with Yuki too, while I feel like I'm drifting away from him. Argh, this is killing me...I can't take it anymore! Will my relationship with Yuki come to an end?!



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 11

I'm so heartbroken that I've broken up with Yuki...But thanks to Mirmo and the others, I've managed to overcome it and move on a little with my life. But what's this? Ryo's seizing this opportunity to advance on Yuki?! Although...it seems Yuki is still fuzzy about his true feelings...Until he suddenly hears about me being hit by a car...?!



Mirmo Zibang! - Volume 12

Yuki and I have patched things up! Just when it seems my life can't get any happier, Mirmo falls into the depths of despair when his plans to help me keep backfiring...Poor Mirmo, he's so depressed that he's actually fading from this world! The fairy world elder says he might even disappear forever...No way...! Please come back, Mirmo!
