Plot:

Vegeta went to Earth in order to follow his best friend (yet, rival) Kakarot who was there to protect the earth from yokais who wanted to destroy it and kill the saiyan prince for unknown reasons. There, he enrolled on the high school where Kakarot studies and met a girl named Bulma in a bus on the way to the school during his first day.

He also met Goku (Kakarot's alias) but he ignored the low class saiyan as if he didn't know him. Goku was asked by the teacher to ask Vegeta from which club he wants to join but he continued on ignoring him. Bulma offered to ask him herself and he answered he would join the club where she belongs to : Broadcasting club!

One evening, Goku dragged Vegeta to a bush where no one would see or hear them. He asked his prince what he was doing in the planet while he knows it was dangerous for him to be in there. Vegeta replied he wanted to face his opponents coz' he is not a coward to hide from his enemies. Goku remembers the time when he pledged loyalty to Vegeta, that he would train hard and be powerful in order to protect his prince, a payment for the owe from saving his life while he was a little boy from a royal saiyan soldier. Now, he is a super saiyan, even more powerful than anyone else in the universe, even to Vegeta. He can now protect Vegeta against those yokais who dared to touch even a single hairstand of his. But Vegeta was quite hard headed enough to face the yokais who wanted to kill him. Goku couldn't do anything to change his mind so he let him do what he wanted, but still, he would keep his promise of protecting him.

One night, Vegeta reluctantly saved Bulma from a yokai and she owed him her life (Same as Goku did) and when she learned he does not have a home, she asked her parents to adopt him. She learned of Vegeta's true nature as he does not keep his saiyan nature a secret to anybody (he was actually too proud of it).

Bulma learned form Goku that Yokais were now trying to kill the saiyan prince for unknown reasons and they wanted to kill humans and destroy the world. They are from other world. The yokais had open a portal between the mortal world and the Yokai World using their powers and they pretend/possess humans to hide their true nature. The yokais chose the earth to be their portal site because humans are too weak.
