Nightwish is one of my favourite music band, which was formed in 1996 in the town of Kitee, in eastern Finland.
The member are:

Anette Olzon (Lead singer) Joined Nightwish as their new lead singer in early 2007 and she is replacing the previous singer Tarja Turunen.

Tuomas Holopainen (Music composer) He was the creator of Nightwish in July 1996. He then asked Emppu Vuorinen and Tarja Turunen to join the band. After hearing Turunen's voice power, Tuomas decided to turn Nightwish into a metal rock band.

Emppu Vuorinen (Lead guitarist) He started to play guitar as a private study at the age of 12 and joined Nightwish along with Tarja Turunen

Marco Hietala (Bass player) After he joined Nightwish, many song was created by the composer Tuomas Holopainen

Jukka Nevalainen (Drummer)
He is famous among Nightwish fans for wearing a bandana on his head, even during shows plus his ability of spinning drumsticks.

Tarja Turunen (former lead singer)
She is the famous former lead singer of Nightwish, which she founded along with Emppu & Tuomas in 1996.

Sami Vänskä (former bass player)
He joined Nightwish for their second studio album and Holopainen asked the band's manager (Ewo Rytkonen) to tell Vänskä to leave Nightwish for some time after Over the Hills and Far Away album was released, when he felt that the musical differences between the two men were posing a threat to the band. He was soon replaced by Marco Hietala the former bass player of the band called Sinergy.
