Here'a the story line for Prototype, I made it up myself so it kinda sucks but it's the best i could do!

"My name is Alex Mercer. I'm the reason for all this. They call me a killer, a monster, a terrorist. I'm all of these things" - Alex Mercer

Prototype is about a man named Alexander J. Mercer. One night he wakes up in a morgue and walks out of a hospital called Gentic. He walks around the hospital confused, he was dead a few minutes ago. As he walks around the hospital, soldiers chase after him trying to kill him...again. He escapes by jumping over a wall about 50 feet tall.
As the story of the game continues, Alex unleash these monster powers such as claws, a blade that consumes his arm, and arms that resemble rocks and this infection has spread over the city he lives in, people turn into zombie like monsters. Alex knows a man by the name of Raymond McMullen knows everything about what's happening and he's had part in it. He also knows some things about Mercer. Alex needs McMullen to tell him what's missing from his past.

"I don't know where you are, but I know I'm going to kill you." - Alex Mercer

The main point of the the game is Alex Mercer trying to know what he's become. What he does know is that he's some sort of monster. Raymond McMullen and this woman, Elizabeth Greene are the key to what he dosen't know. Once he finds them, it's over.

"I'm going to find out who did this to me, and I'm going to make him pay." - Alex Mercer
