He wanted to laugh and smile at her actions. Something toggled him back. He secretly enjoyed that voice of hers, and the singing. It was soothing. Mako quickly made pace to follow her in the house. "Careful, Chi. I don't trust this place." He warned. Chi paused after Mako had called her name, standing not to far from the house. She stopped singing and turned her head toward him. "Eh? Why's that?" She asked, facing back toward the house as she waited for Mako to catch up to her. Chi stared at the house silently, getting a weird feeling from it. I think he's right.. She thought. Mako seemed to almost choke on his words for a minute. "It looks unstable." He warned after some time in silence. He didn't trust the building, either. Mako peeked around the farm. There stood a wrecked barn, a falling apart fence which appeared to be a Termite victim. No doubt the house held worse inside. He focused his eyes on Chi. Chi stayed extremely focused on the house, her eyes becoming more and more serious as she stared at it. She continued you this for awhile, then quickly snapped back to reality. "Aha, I think I made a pretty bad choice. We should head back now Mako.." She walked over to him and tugged on his shirt, smiling nervously. (We should have something attack them ;D.) ( I have an idea . ) Mako held out his hand to silence her. His pupils grew wider as he used Enhanced Sight to see the contents of the main building. Nothing. He relaxed his eyes and offered a firm nod to Chi. As they began to pace away, something from the barn lashed at them. Mako, quick thinking, locked arms around Chi's waist and pulled back. A creature that looked half bull, half boar, had been living in the barn. An experiment no doubt. But who was behind it? This is no way to spend our time together, Chi thought. She looked over Mako's shoulder at the beast. I definitely felt something from that house.. She thought, moving her gaze away from the beast and back at the house. "Are you sure you didn't see anything in there?" She stuck close to him, her hands placed firmly on his chest while he had his armed wrapped around her. Mako clenched her closer. He shook his head slowly at her question. "Don't move." He commanded quietly, "The beast's blind." He came to notice it's gray eyes. It must've been a failed experiment. Mako inched back a little at a time. "You are very...hm...observant." The voice was carried through the air. Mako didn't blurt out in question just yet. He continued to slowly move. "You interest me, Rouge." There was the voice again, "And that little lady you have with you...." The beast hoofed the ground then howled in to the sky. Unusual. Chi matched Mako as the two moved back slowly. She listened carefully to the voice and looked around trying to find its body. She then looked back at the beast, howling directly toward the sky. "What's going on..?" She muttered quietly. "What!? No way! That thing would catch in a second!" Chi blurted out loudly, she quickly covered her mouth and hid back behind Mako, then continued, "First of all, who was the freak talking to us just now.." She whispered as she glanced over at the beast, who was ramming himself into the forceful a few times, trying to break it down. "And that's not going to hold for much longer." She could see cracks slowly forming. "Blue flames..." There was the voice, I like you. Ignorant but high leveled..." Sure enough, the voice's owner sat on top of the barn. He wore a mask over his face. "That girl you hold..." Easy to tell there was a smirk behind that mask, "Can I have her? I could use a good wife." Mako held Chi tight against his chest as his body heat descended. |

His fur had been completely burned along with some bits of flesh pouring out from it's decaying body. Chi lifted her hand and pointed out creating a golden colored alchemic circle in the air, once it was done the air became liquidity. She stuck her hand inside, and it look as if it had disappeared within the circle. She slowly pulled out her staff from inside a dark aura forming around her and her eyes becoming serious. "Don't worry... I'll put you out of your misery.." She mumbled under her breath. Chi banged the edge of her staff on the earth when she pulled it out. The air surrounding them becoming thick and hard to breathe. She lifted her staff and held it firmly, use it to draw another alchemic circle, but this time having to chant a spell. She mumbled the spell as it started to glow a mix of orange, yellow and red. When the spell was finished the circle dispersed and created a fire tornado that engulfed the beast completely its a matter of seconds. Once the beast was nothing but ash, the tornado disappeared completely, along with the dark aura the surrounded Chi. "Ahh! Well that's done!" She smiled happily and congratulated herself. |

He controlled the water to sharpen like a knife. The water slashed at Haides mask, where bits and pieces fell off. Haides's mouth and right eye was revealed. A frown creased his lips. "I want you Mako...and little Moe." He started, "I want your abilities." Mako gritted his teeth and shot a fireball toward Haides. The fire soared the air as the spot where Haides had been was now abandoned. "An ultimate Sinner. That's my plan." The voice scattered through the wind, "Oh, I'm Haides, by the way." The voice faded but here was no guarantee that the masked man was gone. |

"Hey, Change of plans, you catch the freak I'll fight the beast." Chi mumbled into Mako's ears softly. She definitely couldn't stand the weirdo who hadn't even told us who he was and what he really wants. She turned her head toward the masked man then looked back up at Mako, waiting for him to respond."It's easier that way." "Mako, right?" Haides assumed, "I'm here to take you to them." "Uragiri..." Mako shook his head, "Sorry. I want nothing to do with them...or this academy." Haides sent a tsk through the air. "You'll be valued." The beast struggled to look around. "Awh, she killed the only one that actually lived." Haides said with mellow. Mako, acting rather rash, stole water from the surrounding bits of grass which crippled and dried. "Mako! Is everything okay?" Chi caught up to him and hugged him tightly from behind. She was still happy having been able to help Mako out. "What did he say to you?" She asked having heard none of it. "Did you find out who it was?" |

"Awh, she killed the only one that actually lived." Haides said with mellow. Mako, acting rather rash, stole water from the surrounding bits of grass which crippled and dried. "Mako! Is everything okay?" Chi caught up to him and hugged him tightly from behind. She was still happy having been able to help Mako out. "What did he say to you?" She asked having heard none of it. "Did you find out who it was?" "Yes, his name is Haides. A Sinner." "Haides, huh?" She questioned out loud. Something definitely happened... She thought to herself but didn't let it go to her head, if he didn't want to tell her, she won't bother him about it. "Should we head back now? It's been a pretty tiring day." She smiled brightly and hugged Mako tighter. "Eh? Why's that?" She questioned looking up at him she slowly loosened her gripped around him, her eyes becoming worried yet serious. |

But he wanted one. With her, mostly. Mako broke her hold around him. He turned around instead and pulled chi close to his chest. Chi was surprised for a while, but sighed in relief hugging him tightly. "Baka! Who cares about something like that!" She looked up at him, kissed his lips gently then smiled brightly. "I love you! I love you, I love you, I love you!" She repeated over and over, her face flushed as she continued to smile. |

Mako bit his lip. "Don't ever say that, ever." His voice was demanding. He didn't want to drag her into his problems, his mess. He did consider that having a love relationship with her would be consequences for him later. But Mako didn't care. He'll settle the problems when they came. Mako caressed her face and even tucked a few strands of loose hair behind her ear. He wrapped his hands with hers. "I promise, everything will be fine." Mako muttered. |
