He also released a formal apology stating he was young at the time and didn't know any better and he has changed.
Here Is Jay's Apology:
Hello everyone, I’m 2PM’s Park Jaebum. I would like to apologize for the words I typed on myspace a few years ago. Sorry. I would like to explain my feelings then and apologize for them.
I returned to Korea in Jan 2005 when I was a high school student. Being born and bred in America, I had hardly any understanding of Korea, and when I first came to Korea, I couldn’t speak the language, couldn’t adapt to the food, and didn’t know and didn’t understand Korean culture.
My family was all in America and when I came to Korea it seemed like everyone was being cold to me. I had no idea when I would debut and I was really lonely. It was a really difficult and lonely period for me due to various reasons. I missed home, felt like giving up and wanted to go back to my family in America.
I posted such things because I really hated how I was living then and got really worked up. I was really young then and didn’t express myself well. I was young, didn’t have enough sense and because it was a difficult period, and I made these mistakes due to the situations I was facing at that point in time.
And as time passed I forgot that I had ever posted such things. Looking back, I’m really sorry and embarrassed for writing such things. I have since adapted to Korea and completely changed my mind set. I’m thankful for all everything I went through so that I could perform on stage. I posted those words 4 years ago and I have completely changed since then.
To my family, Hottest and our 2PM members, I’m really sorry to everyone as well as everyone who loves 2PM.”
Here are my thoughts:
Jaebum was eighteen at the time and he had no choice but to live in a whole new country he didn't even know culture/language of. If you were moved to another country with no friends, and into a whole new environment you would wish to go back home too. Jaebum just chose a poor choice of words to describe his feelings. Jaebum apologized and his views are different now, he should be forgiven in my opinion. It was FOUR years ago, people change in four years. If you are a 2PM fan and have watched Hot Blood you can see the difference in Jay's character from Hot Blood to Wild Bunny. He has become a more open, and you can see how much he respects the Korean Culture now.
C O U N T E R A R G U M E N T S ;
1. "Nichkhun was moved to Korea and he didn't say any of this stuff."
- Nichkhun was already famous for his works in Thailand and everyone thought he was good-looking. As to Jay, he even said that he didn't look the way he does now. He didn't attract as many people, and he wasn't blessed with the attractiveness he had now. Nichkhun was already accepted because he had background in the entertainment business and people already knew and accepted him. Jaebum had no background on the ent. business, and he felt as if he wasn't accepted because his lack of knowledge in the korean culture and language.
2. "He still should've known better that he was going to debut."
- Jay stated in his apology he wasn't even sure if he was going to debut or not, get your facts straight.
3. "Apologies don't solve everything."
- Yes I do agree that sometimes apologies don't solve everything, but honestly this is ridiculous! FOUR years ago, he was still new to the country and you can honestly say his apology was sincere. I believe he didn't even NEED to apologize for this since it was old. And I can't BELIEVE that the netizens would dig this deep!
4. "He mentioned Jessica Jung from SNSD."
- No Jay didn't it was confirmed he was joking with his friend about JESSICA ALBA.

NOTE: "On the Unfairness Of Female and Male Idols."
Yes, I also do find it unfair that female idols aren't as forgiven
as easy as male idols, but this shouldn't be taken out on Jaebum.
I agree that people should be more understanding to both sexes
but unfortunately people don't. Don't take that out on Jaebum, because
like those female idols, he deserves to be understood and forgiven.
