Morning Musume new single "Pepper keibu"


Sayumi Michishige (道重 さゆみ, Michishige Sayumi?, born July 13, 1989 in Ube, Yamaguchi Prefecture, Japan) is a sixth generation member of the J-pop group Morning Musume.

She joined Morning Musume in 2003 along with Eri Kamei, Miki Fujimoto and Reina Tanaka, which all made their debuts with Morning Musume in the group's nineteenth single, Shabondama. Since 2005 she was assigned as mentor to 7th generation member Koharu Kusumi.

Michishige is also a member of the Hello! Project unit Ecomoni along with former Morning Musume member Rika Ishikawa.

When Michishige passed the audition to join Morning Musume, Tsunku, Morning Musume's producer, wrote in a comment about her that her singing is weak. After the audition Michishige has taken voice lessons to improve her singing, but even she admits that her own singing is still bad.

She portrays an extremely narcissistic image of herself in TV shows, often calling herself the cutest member in Morning Musume and saying that her cuteness overwhelms her bad singing voice.[1] In one of the of the skits known as Hello! Morning Theatre on their variety show, Hello! Morning, she is best known as playing a character known as "Ichiban Kawaii." (Cutest)

"Usa-chan Peace" (Bunny Peace) is a phrase which Michishige uses to identify herself. While saying "Usa-chan peace" she holds her index and middle fingers in V shapes next to her ears.

Is noted for not having changed her hair cut or color since she joined, although she occasionally uses extensions.

Her catchphrase is "Usa-chan Peace!" while holding two peace signs beside her head like rabbit ears. It has also been used in place of the "Sexy Beam" during some performances of "Koi no Dance Site."

She won an award for aerobics in elementary school, and also took piano lessons.

Prior to joining Morning Musume, she most admired Takahashi Ai and Ishikawa Rika.

Her father is a researcher for the chemical company Ube Industries.

In a 2008 episode of Music Fighter, she admitted to having difficulty mentoring Kusumi Koharu, which led to her pulling her eyebrows out in frustration.

In a 2008 episode of Midtown TV, she admitted to being a fan of Idoling!!! after Niigaki Risa asked her to stop wearing Idoling!!! t-shirts during Morning Musume rehearsals. She has also sent messages to Idoling!!!'s TV show using the pen name Suberishirazu (すべりしらず).

Was given an Utaban nickname of Yayaomo by Ishibashi Takaaki during her first appearance. However, this nickname was only used during this episode and was never heard about or mentioned again, although some fans bring it up.

A while ago, she was rumored to be in a relationship with Junnosuke Taguchi from Johnny's Entertainment known to be in the group KAT-TUN.
