Notable for being the longest-running boy-band in South Korea, the group has released nine studio albums. Initially formed under SM Entertainment, they signed a new contract with a new record label, Good Entertainment in July 2003. While still under Good Entertainment as Shinhwa, each of the members (excluding member Shin Hye Sung) have all left the entertainment to start their own to concetrate on their solo activities. Shinhwa is also well-known outside the Korean border. While known best in Asia, they have also performed in different countries of the world, including the United States, Australia, China, Taiwan, North Korea, Singapore, and Japan.

HOW THEY BECAME A SHINHWA GROUP:
* Hye Sung was the first to join the group, after auditioning in the U.S.
* Then Andy was chosen as he was already known to SM Entertainment as a once-candidate for another Korean boyband, H.O.T, with his friend and H.O.T ex-member Tony An, though he was prohibited by his parents from joining H.O.T because he was too young at the time.
* Eric joined not long after Andy.
* Min Woo was discovered in a dance group by a SM scout.
* Dong Wan joined after he saw a preview video of the existing Shinhwa members
* Jun Jin made it as the final member through an audition backed by his high school friend, Kangta (ex-member of H.O.T).

3. You feel happy when you see an orange balloon.
4. You know ‘I am legend’ would be your favorite movie even before it is released.
5. The first thing that comes out to mind when you see two guys kissing is not 'gay'.
6. Your favorite soda is coca cola.
7. You’ve tried doing some moves with a coke bottle.
8. You have 120GB external hard drive but you feel it’s not enough.
9. So you buy another 250GB external hard drive and still it’s not enough.
