Nicholas released his debut album Nicholas 1st Choice, in Malaysia last year followed by China in March this year. The song, Who Will You Think Of, made it to all the pop and ring tone charts in the Mainland. Nicholas went on a promo tour for more than 45 days, visited more than 20 cities and received great response from his fans there. Nicholas Teo First Album was later released in Taiwan this year and set an impressive record of selling more than 30,000 copies in one month.

The boyish-looking artiste has been named the Young Malaysian Movement (YMM) Youth Ambassador 04-05.

Nicholas Zhang, is a Malaysian singer signed under Play Music. Before he came back to Malaysia, he was studying in Taiwan and won the Best Singer in the whole Taiwan for Universities competition. Someone came to find him and asked him to sign under their company as a back-up singer (backing vocalist, to harmonise with the lead vocalist), Nicholas ignored. He came back to Malaysia without finishing his studies and joined a singing competition,'2002 Astro Talent Quest', he won (1st place) with the song 黃昏(Huanghun) by Zhou Chuan Xiong. Then he started his career in Taiwan. Nicholas received the 2006 Hito Newcomer Award in Taiwan.

He also played "He Qun" in the taiwanese drama "Smiling Pasta" (微笑 Pasta).
He also was in the movie, Third Generation 第三代 (2006)

Nicholas Teo is LG mobile ambassador

Ah, a classic example of Malaysia meets South Korea. Malaysian Nicholes Teo (27) is the new ambassador for South Korea’s LG mobile!

The Taiwan-based singer, who can easily pass off as a Korean, was appointed LG Mobile’s ambassador at a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on March 24.

The Smiling Pasta actor is set to endorse the LG KF510 handphone.
