He started his career as a model in 1995, modelling for the brand name STORM, and began acting in sit-coms and TV dramas in 1996. In 1999 he made his film debut in Calla and has since then gathered prominent fan base throughout Asia.Song is noted for his role in Korean dramas like Autumn Fairy Tale (2000) and Summer Scent.
During his late teenage years, successfully evaded serving the local army by claims of heavy diabetes and high blood pressure. At 28, he was discovered by the South Korean government and forced to serve the army for two years. Many fans pleaded for the government of South Korea not to take such a drastic action. Song, feeling guilty of himself, apologised to his fellow countrymen.
Despite pleas from his fans to the South Korean government, they feared that by giving clemency to Song would spark off riots and strikes by the people's displeasure of breaching equitity among citizens. In the end, Song temporarily dropped acting to serve the army until 2006, although he was diagnosed with high blood pressure. Song was discharged on November 15 as a Corporal.

EAST OF EDEN

This is a special MBC project with 56 episodes total, and a historical genre circa 1960 - 2000. "The East of the Eden" is a revengeful story of two men who were born at the same time in a same hospital and Song Seung-heon is going to act one of the two, Lee Dong-chul.
Synopsis:
This story will go back to the 1960s, the era of major student protesting activities. Lee Ki-Cheol, a front-runner of the student protests is thrown into guilt when his lover's older brother dies instead of him, and he arrives at the coal-minining region of Kang-Won provence. There he tries to stop the evil-acts of Shin Tae-Hwan (Yoo Dong-Geun) of the TaeBaek coal mining station, by organizing a labor union but he is eradicated at the hands of Shin Tae-Hwan. Lee Ki-Cheol's eldest son, Lee Dong-Cheol (Song Seung-Heon) witnesses the event and vows to seek revenge.
Meanwhile, a nurse at TaeBaek hospital, Miae, who suffered violation from Shin Tae-Hwan switches Shin's newborn son with Lee Ki-Cheol's son. Thus, Lee Ki-Cheol's son grows up as Shin Tae-Hwan's son Shin Myeong-Hoon, while Shin Tae-Hwan's son grows up as Lee Ki-Cheol's son Lee Dong-Wook.
Lee Dong-Wook is recruited into his older brother Lee Dong-Cheol's revenge plan over their father's death, and Dong-Wook enrolls in law school at the Seoul University, and becomes a prosecutor. Meanwhile, Shin Myeong-Hoon is raised as heir of a conglomerate, and goes over to Hong Kong to begin a new life as the right-hand man of a Korean casino godfather. This is the intense epic centered around these characters who realize their fates have been switched, and the events of modern history intertwined with their lives.
This kdrama is a masterpiece with 25 billion Won production cost estimation. The filming will be taking place in Hong Kong, Macao, and Japan. Shooting will begin end of February and the drama is expected to televise in Korea around end of June or beginning of July.

Action noir film that draws the story of the friendship, loyalty, and betrayal of four friends. Song Seung Heon as Kim Woo Min
Synopsis:
Woo-min wants to get out from the gangster world. Do-wan wants desperately to be back with his girlfriend Mi-jin. The only thing Chul-jung cares about is his younger sister. These three friends plot to steal money meant for rival gang leader Doo-man and start new lives. Along with their leader Kang-sup, they follow through and succeed in taking the money.
But Chul-jung gets jealous of Kang-sup and Do-wan's trust and close relationship with Woo-min and eventually betrays his friends. They end up getting caught by Doo-man who takes revenge on them. Kang-sup gets his Achilles tendon cut and becomes disabled, Do-wan turns drug addict, and Woo-min takes responsibility for the crime after the police get involved and goes to jail. After two years, Woo-min gets released early on good behavior.
Woo-min decides to forgive Chul-jung's betrayal and get Kang-sup and Do-wan out of the gang with the money he left with Kang-sup two years earlier. But to his surprise, Kang-sup had lost all the money, Do-wan is struggling with a drug addiction, Chul-jung had turned worse, and Doo-man is set in having him in his gang. The more Woo-min tries to escape the more destiny chokes in on him and is left in despair, with no way out.
Betrayal, conspiracy, and revenge surrounding these men get tangled in a turn for the worst.

SSH is shooting a MV for a song called "Love Song" with Lee Yeon-hee, and Park Yong-ha.
Song Seung-heon assumes the role of a fight club competitor and member of the mob. Park Yong-ha and Ha Seok-jin play undercover cops who infiltrate the fight club, mob headquarters, as contenders. Park Yong-ha gets in the ring against Song Seung-heon; Ha Seok-jin's cover is blown and he is later killed by the mobsters.
Prview released in late March. The whole music video will be in June
